(Mia's dress)
Mia's POV
We came back home today after the vacation. After that lovely dinner with James, we went sightseeing the next day and did a little shopping. After that, we came back home taking the flight. James and I were on good terms after that vacation. My phone rang pulling me out of my thoughts.
" hello baby "
" hi, James what's up?"
" Why didn't you came to work today? I was hoping to see you, baby."
" I am at home James. I thought to sleep in today."
" come on get your lovely ass off the bed and come to my office. I have a surprise for you baby."
" Okay, I will be there in 15 minutes."
" I am going for a boring meeting now but please wait for me there baby don't leave" he sounded so cute as a small boy.
"Okay I will wait for you" I giggled.
" bye sweetheart "
" bye James " I ended the call. So that shall I wear now? I open my cupboard and looking for a good dress. Found it. This one is nice elegant yet sexy. I got dressed and went off to the car. I reached his office.
"Mr Henderson is busy at the moment," said the secretary.
" it's fine I will wait" I smiled at her. I went to the waiting lounge and sat down. I took a magazine lying on the table and started reading it. Another person entered the lounge. I took a glance at him. He is blond tall and handsome but nothing compared to James. 'Umm Mia why did you compared him to James' my inner voice said. He sat down in the next chair to me. I started reading the magazine again.
"Hi there..." I jumped.
" Sorry didn't mean to startle you." He said.
" it's okay. Hi," I smiled at him closing the magazine.
" I am Sam. Your waiting for someone? " He said.
" yeah...He is in a meeting. So I thought to wait"
" boyfriend huh?" He smirked.
" No no he is not my boyfriend. " I practically shouted.
" Haha okay. So your single I guess?"
" Yes, but why you ask?" I was confused.
" it's nothing beautiful " he complimented. "May I know the name of this pretty girl?"
" it's..." before I could finish someone called me, I turned around.
" Mia! Did I make you wait long?" James came in hurriedly.
"No, I was not waiting long." I smiled at him. He looked past me at Sam who was talking to me.
"What are you doing here Samuel? " He asked him.
" My dear brother can't I come to see you " he smiled at him. Wait! Brother?
" brother? I thought you didn't have any brother " I asked James.
" he is my cousin, Samuel. We are not so close."
Sam interrupted. "What are you saying brother? We are so close. Mia you know are together since we wore diapers and when we were small we used to play superman together. Ah, such memories. " I pictured James as a naughty kid. I tried to control my laughter from coming out.
" If you don't want to be slaughtered Sam then stop talking " James spat at Sam.
" well I just came to tell you that I have an off the hook party at my house today so please do come," he said.
" like I would ever!" James said.
" James come on let's go to the party. I have never been to an off the hook party. " I puppy-eyed James "Please please pleaseeeeeeee "
" come on Mia darling also want to come. Please, James, it will be fun!" Sam pleaded too.
" Okay, but you stay by my side all the time okay?" James said.
" come on now your treating me like a child James ." I cried.
" We won't go if you're not by my side all the time. So?"
" Okay I will be with you all the time," I said crossing my arms.
" good girl"
" Okay, now I will be going now my work is done here," Sam said. " Lastly I forgot to say..." he turned towards me."Mia your one hot chick." He winked at me and left. I was blushing at his comment.
" someday I will strangle that bastard" James spoke.
" So what's the surprise? " I asked James.
He faced me," close your eyes" he smiled "and hold out your wrist " I did. I felt a cold surface touch my skin. I opened my eyes. It was a beautiful diamond bracelet.
" Oh my it's beautiful but I can't accept something so expensive "
" you have to. It's my gift to you I won't take a no"
" I love it thank you " I smiled holding my hand.
" I am glad you liked it" he smiled and hugged me.
" shall we at this party after my meeting?"
" sure " we locked arms.
It was time for us to go to the party now. " James, do I look okay for the party or I need to change clothes?" I asked him. I was wearing a black lace dress. "You look perfect baby" we got in the car and headed to the party.
We reached there and so many lights were coming out of the house. I can't control my smile I was so excited. I am gonna party crazy today. My brothers never let me go to any party's I wanted to go to. So I am gonna enjoy myself today. I remembered my promise, I have to be by James side all the time.
We went inside. The atmosphere was different. There was a dance floor, drinks and pool. Cool.
Sam made his way to us "Mia, James you made it. Enjoy yourself. Here have some punch." Then he disappeared into the crowd. I was going to drink it when James stopped me.
" what?"
" it probably must be spiked don't drink it " he took my glass and drank it.
" aww, it was mine. If it is spiked why did you drink it?"
"Cause I am not light-headed like you baby"
" party pooper," I said.
" I gotta keep you, safe baby. I can't handle it if you go wild." He smiled. We were enjoying ourselves.
Sam came to us with a full plate of brownies. I love brownies from a small age. James went to him and they talked about something and Sam took the plate away. I could only hear "throw them "
"Why did you tell him to throw the brownies away? Don't you like the cake? I love them" I said to him.
" Trust me, baby, they were not brownies " I was confused it looked like brownies though.
" James I gotta go to the washroom"
" Okay, I will be here. Come quick"
I made my way to the washroom. It's a huge washroom. I went to the sink and washed my hands. As I was about to leave I saw the Brownie's plate near the table. I was hungry so I put one in my mouth. It was serious brownies I don't know why James thought it something else. Yikes, it's really tasty I put another one in my mouth. They taste a bit different I guess. Without caring I stared one after another in my mouth. The plate was nearly empty.
My body is feeling very hot. It's weird. I don't think I have a fever. I was feeling an adrenaline rush in my body. I couldn't keep my senses in one place. I was feeling very excited and funny. I came out of the washroom holding the brownies plate. I saw James and Sam made their way to me. They were looking at me in shock. I should be serious but I felt like laughing. I laughed.
" shit we were late," said Sam.
" Why didn't you throw them yourself" James angrily asked Sam.
" Hey man! I told Jenna to throw them but she kept them then near the sink." Sam answered.
" How many were there?" James asked him.
" 15 I guess "
" only 1 is felt now" James sighed.
My head felt like bursting. I could feel myself with all the energy I never had.
"Mia, how are you feeling? " James asked me cupping my face.
"Awesomeeeeeeeee! !!!!!" I laughed.
" We are screwed. She is a total high man!" Sam said.
This was just the beginning. I was just starting to feel the fire in me. My hormones are all messed up right now. I put my hands on James and Sam's shoulders.
"Let's party!" I screamed.
