Chapter 5.
Snapes P.O.V
Its been two days since Roses attack and she still hasn't woke. I'm concerned. Concerned? Since when do I get concerned about a mere student. That's all she is to me. A student.
"Ahhh Severus I expected to find you here."
"Albus I was merely checking up on a student."
"We both know that's not true Severus."
"I don't like her that way Albus. Shes a mere student."
"I didn't say anything about liking the girl now did I Severus." With that Albus left the hospital wing. I swear that man is a creep and is such a match-maker. I sat on a chair beside Rose's bed. I looked over at her. She seemed so peaceful and Serene. Though her eyes aren't moving in her eyelids. Has she already awoken? Oh god what if she heard mine and Albus's conversation. That's not possible!
Rose's P.O.V
I stirred in my sleep and could hear a conversation taking pace at the end of my bed.
"I don't like her that way Albus. Shes a mere student." Who were they talking about? Surely it wasn't me?! Something deep inside told me it was me and that what Professor Snape said actually hurt. He surely couldn't be talking about me. I decided to pretend to sleep so I could hopefully catch the rest of the conversation.
"I didn't say anything about likingthe girl now did I Severus." I could hear Dumbledore walk off and the room fell scilent. Suddenly there was a creak come from the chair beside me. I stayed quiet for a little while longer. Out of nowhere Snape held my hand and begun to speak.
"Rose I don't know if you can hear me. But I'm concerned about you. Its been two days since you attack. I haven't once left your side. For some reason unknown reason I care about your well being. I have only had that once with another person." All of a sudden the room fell silent again and his hand began to tremble in mine. I tightened my grip on his hand and he seemed to notice.
"Rose?" I slowly opened my eyes and sat up. I looked straight into his eyes. He looked shocked that I finally woke awoke. "Did y-yo-you h-hear wha-what I ju-just s-said?" said Snape completely dumbfounded. I just nodded. He immediately let go of my hand and sped out of the hospital wing with his robes bellowing behind him. Did I do something I shouldn't have? What was that all about. I guess I will ask him when I next see him.
