In Liz's former life, she was a tomboy. Growing up, her dream was to be a player in the NBA. She lived and breathed basketball. My Review: Definitely NOT cliché and I totally agree with Liz. Girls don't need boys saving them or fixing them or depending on them. I hate it when stories have weak girls who need saving or always get hurt by being naïve or are treating like dirt and they don't do anything about it. It annoys me. And that's why I love this story. It's a great read and definitely is the meaning of girl power.
