"Dude, have you seen (Your Name) today? She looks so hot!" (Your Male Classmate's Name) gushed.
"I know. I wonder if she's single." Another student sighed.
"No, I heard she's going out with-"
Kageyama clicks his tongue in annoyance and looms over the two boys with a malicious scowl on his face. The group quickly dissembles and just as he opened his mouth to say something, the bell goes and everybody files out of the room for lunch.
He kicked the door on his way out as his sour mood worsened. He was tired of witnessing all the boys practically crawling all over you, and you were completely unaware of his misery. Your relationship couldn't have been better, but there was always a fear of being left behind for Kageyama. He knew that if he wasn't careful, he could have you snatched away from him in a second.
"Kageyama! I brought you lunch!" A chirpy voice echoed through the hallways and he looked up from the floor to see you waving a bento box cheerfully.
He swore that he could see flowers dancing around you, and wondered how you were able to stay so energised everyday. When he finally approached you, he quickly grabbed on to your hand and you both speed-walk towards his now-empty classroom.
"(Your Name)."
"Wh-what? Is something wrong?" you stammered hesitantly as he scowled more seriously than usual.
"I don't want you talking to any of the guys in my class anymore." he muttered.
"Wha-!"
"You don't get it! The way some of these men look at you, it disgusts me. Only I-" he quickly stopped himself as he realised how brash he was acting.
He looked into your eyes again, expecting you to just turn around and leave him. That's what everybody did when they saw this side of him. In all honesty, he never would have expected a different reaction out of you. But he was taken aback by you throwing yourself into his arms.
"You! What the hell are you-!"
"I'm happy that you feel that way about me. I'll do as you say, so don't worry." you reassured him with a small smile.
Kageyama suddenly felt a surge of embarrassment. He'd never felt this way about anybody before, and he unconsciously let his emotions get the best of him. Even if it was for a single moment, he let you see right through him, and that sent chills up his spine. The fact that he could do that around you, scared him beyond measures. Even so, he found himself wrapping his sturdy arms around your waist and giving you a quick hug. He was beyond relieved that you understood him completely.
"But I need you to promise me something too," you began seriously. "Stay away from the girls in my class as well, you should hear what THEY say about you."
"Are you jealous...(Your Name)?" he asked whilst looking into your eyes steadily.
"I don't know, are you?" you teased.
"Yeah, I'm jealous." he answered.
You lean over and pull his jersey in as you press your lips against his softly. Your lips move in smooth synchronisation until the bell rings again, signalling the end of your little break.
"Then we're on the same boat, Kageyama."
