"Are you ever going to come back?" Aunt Melissa asked on the other line. I had been sitting in Kellin's room for a couple of hours now ever since we had gotten back from school. He was downstairs with Vic, watching movies.

"Honestly, I don't know," I said. "Is dad ever going to grow some since of mind?"

"I can't answer that honey, but you can't hide away there forever. You've got to come back sometime." She said. I sighed, not saying anything.

It had been only a couple of days since I left from Aunt Melissa's and came here to stay with Kellin until I could calm down, or somewhat anyways. I had taken the twins back, much to their dismay, after mom and dad had gone back home. They stayed for dinner, just like Aunt Melissa said and left the next morning. I still wasn't ready to go back, even if they weren't there. Just thinking about it all was enough to make me angry again. I hated it so much, I couldn't stand it anymore.

"Look, I'm going to give you a couple of more days. You can stay at your friends house for two more days, no more, no less. But, afterwards, you are to come back, and I'm not saying you've got to go back home, home, but you've got to come back, your brothers and sister need you. I'm not going to allow you to walk out on the them like many of the people in the past." Aunt Melissa said.

"I'm not... I'm not going to walk out on them, I can't, and I wouldn't. I'll be back in a few days, I just need a little more time." I said.

"Good," she told me. "I've got to get going, but I'll speak to you later."

"Okay," I mumbled.

"Two days, Alan." She reminded me and I rolled my eyes.

"Yes, yes, I know, two days. Bye." I repeated and hung up. I sighed loudly and tossed my phone to the side. Ever since Kellin and I had gotten back from school, I hadn't been downstairs. I felt like I would be intruding on Kellin and Vic's time together, although they've been spending a lot of time together lately, not that I was complaining. I was happy for him.

I sighed and laid down on the bed only to roll over on my stomach and bury my face in the pillows. I could hear the t.v. running downstairs faintly as it seemed to be the only thing filling up the silent room. What was I going to do? What was there for me to even do? I thought of plenty of times throughout my stay here about running away, but I was only eighteen, sure I could find a job and get money easily, but I'd have nowhere to go. I wasn't about to up and leave without my brothers and sister, because where I went they went. There was no arguing that.

"Als," the bedroom door opened and Kellin walked in, biting his lip. I looked up at him, humming. "Do you um, do you mind going and picking up the pizza we ordered?" He asked with hopeful eyes, and I knew that look.

"Are you trying to get rid of me Kells?" I asked, grinning. He sighed and nodded slowly.

"Only for a couple of hours, though. Vic just doesn't like that you're up here alone and he feels bad and I don't want him feeling that way so, I don't know, I just thought that if you left for a little bit while he's here he'll relax a little more and we can finish up our little...date I guess you could call it." He said, shrugging.

"Fine," I groaned, sitting up. "All you had to do was tell me to get out." I said, pulling on my shoes and grabbing my phone and keys.

"It's only for a few hours so it's not like I'm kicking you out completely." He told me.

"Yes, I know," I murmured and walked past him out of the room. He followed me downstairs where Vic was sat, on his phone. He looked up though when we came downstairs.

"Oh, is Alan watching movies with us?" Vic asked, I shook my head and smiled.

"No, I'm actually going out, but you two enjoy your time," I said before turning to Kellin. "You two be same now." I added, winking. He rolled his eyes and punched my shoulder before pushing me towards the door. I giggled and said another goodbye as I left out. I got in the car Aunt Melissa let me borrow when I left and backed out of the driveway. I had no real destination in mind, though I was hungry.

I drove around town until I finally decided on going to a little diner that Kellin and I had gone to awhile back. It was somewhat small and really cozy, making people feel as if they were at home. It was owned by a nice older couple who often hire teenagers during the summer because they know we need money.

Once I found a place to park, I shut the car off and got out before heading across the street and inside the diner. A little bell above the door rang and a middle-aged woman greeted me from behind the counter. I smiled at her and scanned the dining area, hoping to find an empty seat, but, much to my dismay, instead of seeing an empty seat, I saw Austin along with some others, one of the two being the guy who he pushed out the door at the party several nights ago; Shay, I think his name was, and Aaron. I guess Austin saw me because his hand shot up and he began to wave enthusiastically.

"Princess!" he shouted loudly as he stood up and walked over to me. I really wanted to walk out the door and never return, but it was already too late, he saw me and caught the attention of many others. "What are you doing here?" He asked once he was stood in front of me. I rolled my eyes and looked him over, seeing as he had horribly ripped skinny jeans and a grey t-shirt along with a big smile.

"Um, I'm hungry because Vic and Kellin made me leave," I said, cocking my head to the side as he snorted. "Are you drunk?"

"No, of course not," he said, shaking his head, "I just have droopy eyes, but that's beside that matter, why don't you come and meet some...friends of mine." He told me rather quickly and grabbed my hand, tugging me hard that I nearly tripped. I excused myself past people as Austin practically dragged my along. I bumped into him as he stopped and turned to the table where the group he was sat with merely seconds ago.

"This is Alan, guys," he said, and they all waved and smiled at me, "and this, Alan, is Phil, you obviously know Aaron, and Shay." He introduced me to the other two. Aaron waved and smiled at me and I smiled back, feeling shy for some reason. I noticed Austin was still holding my hand, though, and it sent warmth throughout my entire body, but I pushed the feelings down and tried to keep calm.

"Shay, pull up a chair and sit so Alan and I have can have some room." Austin said, Shay's smile towards me faltered and he looked a little upset but did as said and scooted from spot and pulled a chair up from a nearby table. Austin tugged me towards the table and allowed me to get in first before he sat down beside me.

"Austin, do you really think Alan wants to sit with us? I'm sure he's here for other reasons other than to be bothered by you." Aaron said, I grinned and chuckled while Austin blew out air dismissively and tossed an arm over the back of the booth. I could feel his fingertips brushing against my neck, and it sent shivers down my spine.

"I'm not bothering him, if anything, I'm simply brightening up his day." Austin said happily. There was something off about him, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

"Sure," Aaron snorted, rolling his eyes, grinning at me. I shrugged and glanced around the diner, seeing people being seated or leaving, but as I looked past Shay, I could see him sneaking glares towards me. At first I didn't really know who he was staring at, maybe Austin did something and he was angry about it, or maybe there was someone stood outside the window and he didn't like them, whatever reasons I came up with in my head were wrong, because he was most definitely glaring at me, but I was dumbfounded. What had I done?

"Tell him Princess, I'm not bothering you." Austin said, nudging my shoulder. I looked away from Shay to him, now seeing that his eyes were red, making it seem as if he had been crying, but I knew better.

"Are you high right now?" I asked, not being able to help myself. Austin snorted and shrugged, smiling.

"Maybe, but that's beside the point. Do I bother you?" He asked, his head cocked to the side slightly. Okay, although he was high, he looked extremely cute looking like that and I couldn't help but mumble, "No."

I watched a big happy smile form on Austin's face as he turned to Aaron in triumph. "Told you I don't bother you," he said, Aaron rolled his eyes and chuckled, not saying anything else.

A waitress came and took everyone's order, apparently they hadn't been sat here long. Austin and Phil both ordered a lot because, from what I could see, they were both really high and probably were craving an entire buffet of food. Although us eating, I could still feel Shay staring at me. I honestly had no idea what was the matter. Had I said something that night at the party while being drunk? Did something mean to him? I had no idea, but whatever it was, he obviously didn't like me for it.

After everyone had finished eating, both Austin and Phil seemed to be better. They were obviously two different people when high. Although I may not have known Phil, he was really quiet and looked extremely dazed, unlike Austin who wouldn't stop snorting and talking no matter how many times you've told him to stop. He was like a child.

"Where are you going now Princess?" Austin asked as we all exited out of the diner with tummies full of food. He tossed an arm around my shoulder, leaning his head against mine.

"Um, I'm going back to Kellin's." I said.

"What? No, no, you should come with us, we're going to a party and...and I want you there." He said, an almost way too adorable pout on his face. I rolled my eyes and escaped from his grasp.

"As fun as that sounds, I've got to get going." I told him.

"Well you can come later on then, but I want you there." He said, winking. I rolled my eyes again but felt my face burn. Aaron chuckled at me and shook his head.

"Come on guys, we've really got to going." He said, Austin waved him off and looked at me, this glint in his eyes.

"I better be seeing you tonight Princess," was all he told me before climbing into what I was assuming Aaron's car. Phil waved a goodbye to me and staggered into the car, Aaron gave me a smile and Shay glared at me just like before, and once they were all in the car, they were off. I sighed and crossed the street back to my car, heading to Kellin's house. I was gone for about an hour so I assumed that had to be enough time for them both because I certainly had nowhere else to go, and I didn't want to go anywhere else.

I got back to Kellin's place and went inside. They were both sleeping on the couch, curled beside one another and looking as cute as ever. I silently went upstairs to Kellin's room and changed my clothes. I had a feeling though. I didn't know why, but I felt like going to that party both Aaron and Austin had mentioned, but that thought was insane. Whatever, I crawled onto the bed and relaxed before falling asleep and taking a nap.
