Kaitlyn and her brother , Jace, lived a happy life. They always smiled, there parents were state alchemist so it was very obvious they weren't going to be poor anytime soon. There parents told them never to touch there alchemy books, and unlike most kids they did as told, not out of respect but they had seen what had come of there parents experiments and creations, and that is just not something you want to create.
There parents where the only ones aloud to even try human transmutation when they thought they could. They wouldn't get in trouble. They always had something to turn in when presentiment day comes around. They where so close to getting the trans mutation correct about the time of Kaitlyn and Jace's birthday. They where in the basement of there house trying a transmutation when the kids heard a explosion bellow the house. Kaitlyn told her brother to stay in the room as she went to check on them. She slowly crept down the basement stairs and onto the floor, she turned the corner not to find one but 3 of those abominations. She almost threw up then and there, But where where her parents they should have already killed these things so they didn't go to attack people. Kaitlyn looked back to them wishing she hadn't.
She looked at two of the creatures turned looking at her from the outside of the transmutation circle. She recognized the face of her mother and father contorted and in pain. They had tried one last time to make this correct. They made the ultimate sacrifice, all for nothing. They used there own body as transmutation material. She ran up the stairs and slammed the door to the basement shut and locked it.
She ran to her brother in fright."call Roy now we have a problem."
"Sis whats wroung." Jace seemed scared.
"THERES NO TIME!"kaitlyn yelled before shoving jace in a closet with a phone."I have to take care of something dont move a muscle or make a sound tell I get back just get mustang on his way here. Now." She shut the door and put a chair infrount of it.

After getting my brother somewhere safe I ran to the kitchen grabing the revolver from the drawer. I checked and sure enough there was a full set. I knew what I had to do.

Mom walked up to me and smiled showing me where the gun was.
"Sweety dont be scared. If you ever see one of those horrible creatures. You need to shoot it without hesitation. It will kill you. So dont be afraid ok" mom said taking me out back and teaching me to fire the gun.

I stude infront of the door to the basment taking afew deep breaths. I turned the lights on dim and opened the door.
Slowly one step at a time I inched down the stairs and slowly took the turn. The things reacted to my presences in the room. I shot the one in the center of the circle. The other two that where my parents started to worm tward me.I aimed at my fathers distorted figure. I steped back afew times as they kept coming. Bang I shot my father.
Mom was crawling tward me in a lump of goop with a trail of slime behind her. I could hear her heart beat and here breathing. The was alive. I remembered her omce saying these creatures eat humans. I kept walking back tell I hit the wall as my mother drew closer getting to me I tremble. She seemed to mutter out.
"Love....you....two...." before bang. And she was gone too. I ran up the stairs in a furry of emotion. I turned off the light and slamed the door pushing everything I could by the foot of the door.
I was haunted. I could still see the vile and repulsice images of my disfigured family. There horrible breathing, the way they crawled in inhumane ways across the floor and my mothers last words. I sat there in the kitchen still and unmoving.
