He lays in the sand with no hope of selection
Wings all bruised from the long fall
Diminsions he cruised ready for the long haul
The world seems different from what he use to see
The people are hopeless and full of greed
Flying high in the air he could feel the love
Now he is standing laid bare hoping for a hug
The two worlds so different yet both the same
In one he feels confident and in this one he's been shamed
For the hope he had for them is all now but gone
The hate he sees now has stolen his song
