A couple of nights later, I found myself at a party, drinking cups of punch instead of beer and far away from the crowd of sweaty bodies stood in the middle of the dance floor. I actually didn't want to be here, but Kellin dragged me along because he wanted me to meet the guy he had been talking to for the last couple of weeks, which I didn't know. Of course after a few minutes of Kellin introducing me and said guy, Vic, they left for the dance floor and have yet to return. I didn't really care though, I was happy that Kellin had found someone and was far over Matty, his annoying ex boyfriend.

"They say gingers are soulless people, but I'm thinking you're an exception." Someone said, I jumped a little when I saw someone standing beside me. He was around my height, brown haired and a goofy smile on his face.

"What?" I questioned.

"I'm sorry, that was such a terrible joke," he said. "I learned it from my friend and he can be an idiot." He added, laughing.

"Okay..." I trailed off, not really interested, I just wanted to go home.

"I'm Aaron by the way, friend of party thrower." He said, I nodded and sipped my punch.

"Well, Aaron, do you just go up to random people and tell horrible jokes?" I asked, he shrugged and smiled.

"Depends, really. Sometimes you can tell by the person if they'll become offended or not. I've actually been slapped a few times from horrible jokes." He rambled.

"Just be glad I didn't take offense to your horrible ginger joke," I said. "And by the way, not all gingers all soulless, so yeah, you're right, I'm an exception." Aaron snorted and nudged me.

"Dude, that's funny," he said, I grinned at him just as another person approached us. He was tall, had a charming smile, brown haired just like Aaron, and a shiny nose ring. When he got closer, he smiled warmly at me.

"Introduce me to your new friend, Aaron." The guy said.

"Oh, yeah, Austin this is..." Aaron trailed off. That's right, I never told him my name.

"Alan." I said.

"Austin this is Alan, Alan this is Austin." Aaron introduced. Austin smirked and nudged his friend.

"Fill me up another cup, would ya?" He said. "Do you need anything Alan?" God, the way my name just rolled off his tongue sent shivers down my spine.

"No, I'm fine." I said.

"Nonsense, Aaron get our new friend a drink." Austin said. I quickly shook my head.

"I don't want a drink, just punch is fine." I said. Aaron nodded and took my cup, leaving it to be Austin and I.

"So what brings you to this party?" Austin asked, leaning against the wall beside me.

"My friend brought me along, wanting me to meet this guy he's been talking to." I told him. Austin hummed and nodded.

"Who's your friend?" He asked.

"He's right over there, his name's Kellin," I said, pointing way across the room to where my best friend was stood, laughing and talking with Vic, having an obvious good time.

"Oh! That's the guy Vic's been talking about," Austin said, I looked at him confused. "I'm friends with Vic, we used to go to high school together and he's my been like, my best friend ever since." He explained.

"Used to go to high school?" I asked.

"Yeah," he said.

"So you what, are in college?" I asked. Austin snorted and shook his head.

"No, not even close. I barely even graduated high school," he told me. "I work for a music shop down town. What about you? Graduated? In college?"

I bit my lip and shook my head. "Actually I'm still in high school." I said. Austin snorted again.

"Thought you looked a little young to be here," he said, I rolled my eyes. "Let me guess, you're a Freshman?"

"No! I'm a Senior you dick." I snapped. Austin grinned at me just as Aaron came back with our drinks.

"Guess what? Our new friend is still in high school." Austin said, I rolled my eyes and sipped my drink.

"You didn't know that?" Aaron asked. Austin frowned and looked at him confused. "Vic said that Kellin and his friend were still in high school earlier."

"Well no one told me." Austin muttered, rolling his eyes as he sipped his drink.

"Dude, you were literally standing there when Vic said that!" Aaron argued.

"I was high earlier!" Austin said.

"You do drugs?" I questioned.

"I only smoke weed, and even then it's occasionally, no big deal." He said shrugging. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"Well that's your fault, now isn't it?" Aaron questioned.

"Whatever, it would have still been nice to know." Austin muttered. Aaron rolled his eyes, about to say something just as Kellin came stumbling over, a big giggling mess.

"He's so nice to me!" He said, sighing dreamily. "Oh my god, Alan. One day Vic and I are going to get married and you're going to be my best man because you're my best friend and I love you so much!" He giggled again.

"I think Kellin here has had one too many drinks." Aaron said.

"I haven't had enough! I want more but Vic said that I shouldn't." Kellin said, pulling a ridiculous pout.

"I think Vic's right, Kell," I said, my best friend pouted at me and shook his head.

"Whatever, I'm starting to feel sick now. I wanna go home." He muttered, rubbing his tummy.

"Okay, we can-" Kellin suddenly turned really pale and before I could so much as utter a word, he threw up all over the front of my shirt. A few people that were surrounding us stopped and laughed, others either turned away in disgust or ignored what was going on around them. Either way, I felt sick to my stomach, seeing the nastiness that covered the front of me.

"Holy shit..." Aaron muttered, face full of surprise.

"Dude, that's so gross." Austin snorted, slapping a hand over his mouth as he laughed. For once I actually felt embarrassed, and for once I felt really mad at Kellin but I knew it wasn't his fault. Sometimes he wasn't able to hold his alcohol, and low and behold, this was one of those times.

"Let's get you some water," Aaron said, grabbing Kellin's arm and pulling him along into the kitchen. Austin was still laughing and wiping his eyes from the tears. I stormed away from him and into the nearest bathroom, yelling at whoever was in there to get out. As soon as I closed the door, I began to cry, peeling off the disgusting piece of clothing and throwing it into the bathtub.

I knew I shouldn't have come to this stupid party. I should have just told Kellin no, that I wanted to stay home and watch cartoons with Alex and the twins, but no, he forced me to come, claiming it was going to be a "good time" when really, I was going to be miserable throughout it all. Sometimes I really hated on how persuasive Kellin could be, and he honestly didn't know that he could be. But he was and I hated it.

I wiped my eyes just as there was a knock on the door which pulled me from my thoughts, causing me to jump and knock over a few things on the counter.

"Go away! There's someone in here!" I shouted, making sure the door was locked.

"It's Austin, open up." I heard him say.

"No, once again, go away!" I shouted at him.

"Oh come on, Alan, open up. I wanna talk to you." He said, I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"Please just go away, I don't want to talk to you."

"Now that's just mean," he said. "But if you refuse to open up the door then I can either, break it down or get Jack to come and pick the lock. Either way, I'm going to be getting inside that bathroom." I bit my lip and looked at the door. I'm sure he was strong enough to break it down, but that would cause a big scene and I didn't want that, and if he did go and find whoever Jack was, it'd probably take him awhile considering the amount of people who were here.

"How 'bout this," Austin spoke up again. "I'll give you until the count of three to open up the door, and if don't by the time I'm finished, I'll decide for you." I sighed and slouched, still staring at the door in front of me. Deep down inside, I actually wanted to see what he was going to do.

"One..." He began to count, "two...three..." and his voice trailed off. Quickly I reached for the door and unlocked it, swinging it open to see Austin stood against the wall across from the bathroom, looking as if he was about to charge.

"Were you seriously going to break the door down?" I asked incredulously. He shrugged and have me a smile before biting his lip and looking me up and down making me suddenly self conscious.

"What'd you do with your shirt?" He aksed, walking into the bathroom. I pointed over to the bathtub where my ruined shirt was wadded up at. "I still can't believe he..." Austin trailed off, shutting his mouth when he realized I was frowning. Sure to him it was a good laugh, to witness someone getting thrown up on, but to me I felt humiliated, even if Kellin couldn't have stopped himself. It was so embarrassing and I wanted more than ever to leave and never come back.

"Oh lighten up," he said, nudging me. "Half of the people here are drunk off their asses and won't remember a single thing in the morning, unlike me, I'll never let you live this one down." I rolled my eyes and pushed him away.

"Whatver," I muttered. "I just need to find some new clothes and get my friend so we can leave." Austin sighed and ran fingers through his hair.

"Come with me," he mumbled, walking past me and out the bathroom door.

I followed him up the stairs and into a bedroom that was empty, thankfully. He closed the door behind him and walked over to the closet and began to rummage through it and the dresser beside it. I stood there and watched, my arms crossed over my chest as I tried to stop myself from shivering. Finally Austin pulled out an oversized sweatshirt from the dresser and turned, smiling at me before tossing it in my direction.

"This is mine. It doesn't fit me anymore because it's way too small, so you can have it if you want." He said shrugging. I quickly pulled it on, relishing in the warmth it provided me as soon as it was on. Austin snorted and bit his lip as he looked me up and down again. He seriously had to stop doing that.

"Well um, thanks for the shirt...I really need to get going now." I said. Austin nodded and walked to the door, opening it up for me. We both left out of the room and headed back downstairs where the party was still going. I went into the kitchen where Aaron and Kellin were stood, Kellin looking like he was ready to pass out.

"Finally!" Aaron said as I got closer.

"Sorry, I didn't know what to do with my shirt," I said. He sighed and nodded.

"I'm sure Jack'll clean it up for you, make it clean and not smell like vomit." I nodded and thanked him, grabbing Kellin's arm and pulling him out from the kitchen and the house. Both Austin and Aaron were trailing behind me as I found Kellin's car. Thankfully he had given me the keys beforehand so I didn't have to search him for them.

Aaron helped me put my still drunk best friend into the backseat so he could sleep before mumbling a goodbye to him. Austin stood there beside the drivers side door, a big smirk on his face.

"Tonight was fun," he said. I rolled my eyes and pushed him away to unlock the door.

"Yeah it might have been for you, but you didn't get thrown up on by your idiot of a best friend." I said, Austin snorted and shrugged.

"That's true, but you look so cute in my shirt," he said, and I felt my cheeks warm up. "I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of each other." He added.

"Whatever'll help you sleep at night." I muttered. He smiled at me and opened the drivers side door, allowing me to get in. I rolled my eyes and got inside, starting up the car.

"Drive safe, and sleep tight, Princess." He said, winking at me before closing the door before I could utter a word. My cheeks burned as I watched him walk back across the street to where the party was. I oddly wanted to see him again, I liked being around him.

And that nickname...geez, that sent shivers down my spine. He was so cute too.

Sighing, I drove away, heading back to Aunt Melissa's house. She knew I had gone out, she had saw me walk out the door, but she would probably be mad when she sees the state Kellin's in. Hopefully he could just stay asleep for the rest of the night and maybe she wouldn't throw a big fit about it.

Soon enough I arrived back and I managed to get Kellin out of the car without dropping him to the ground. When I opened the door, I half expected Aunt Melissa to be sitting on the couch, doing whatever she did, but she wasn't. Only the light was on in the living room and it seemed pretty quiet. I took Kellin upstairs to my room and laid him down on one side of the bed. I took both his shoes and socks off, removing his shirt that had a little bit of throw up on it before tucking him under the covers. I then changed my jeans for sweatpants, but kept the shirt, it was just too warm to change out of, before I crawled under the covers and fell asleep myself.
