I woke up my head aching from being hit. How long had I been out for? Hours? Minutes? As my eyesight and general senses adjusted I realised I was in the attic. I felt life rubbish. I was in he attic. I tried to stand up but a rope tied tightly around my chest wouldn't permit it. I was in the attic. Steph! I looked around my eyes desperately searching the room for any sign of her or whoever did this to us. Then a thought crossed my mind: maybe there wasn't a Steph anymore? If there is maybe it would be best not to see...
My eyes had fully adjusted to what had seemed pitch black just as I felt something heavy fall on my shoulder and nearly screamed. I held it in. Glad I did. I smelt whatever it was (I couldn't see properly still). It smelt like... PERFUME! Steph! I lent against her... She was still breathing and a muffled noise told me she had been gagged but was conscious I sat up some more and tried to look at her face in the darkness. She looked back at me and I saw she was gagged and had a massive cut on her head... I used my teeth to un-gag her and she kissed me for the first time...
We were both shaking like anything and just sat there for several minutes (Her head on my shoulder... My head on hers...) then we heard whoever it was coming upstairs... We both decided to look unconscious and gave in to the desperate need to fall to the ground (yes. Being nearly killed and being unconscious makes you tired... I know right the shock!)... She reached to my hand and in the darkness we held hands... Thinking about what we should have done in our short time on this earth...
