Chapter 31 - The Demon's Angelic Voice/School Festival Day 3

■ Sakura ■
Its already the last day of the festival. Meaning, ngayon yung kanta naming lahat. Many students bought our ticket to watch our section's performances. Tapos na halos lahat ng classmates namin. Malapit na kami magperform ni Jarred. Next namin sila Xands pero wala pa sila dito ni Iann.
— Flashback —
"Its the last day of the festival. And you all know what that means right?" sabi nung Music teacher namin. We all nodded to answer him. "We will start at exactly 10 AM, an hour from now. Maraming bumili ng tickets just to watch your performances so expect a large crowd. I called you all here para masabi ko yung pagkakasunod sunod ng performances nyo."
Kinuha nya yung class list nya then started calling names.
"First, Reyes and Tan. Then Hirai and Cruz. Then...." Ayoko nang pakinggan ung iba. Nakakatamad lang.
Matatapos na syang magtawag. Kami nalang kulang.
"Wayland and Fujiwara, Sakura. Next, Gomez and Yoshida. Lastly, Fujiwara, Shinusuke and Yu." Mauuna kami sa kanila. "Natawag ko naman lahat, diba? Okay. You can go prepare for your performances."
Hinila ko si Xandra para makapagbihis na kami. Nang makarating kami sa cr, nagbihis na agad ako. Paglabas ko ng cubicle, nakita kong nakabihis na sya. Napangiwi nalang ako sa suot nya.
"Ano ba naman yang suot mo Xands? Don't you have anything na maayos?" I said. Ang ganda nya nung nag MC sya pero now? She is wearing pants!
"Eh nakalimutan kong kunin yung susuotin ko eh. Spare lang dapat 'to." sabi nya. Kita kong nanginginig pa sya. Kanina ko pa sya napapansin na parang wala sa sarili.
I'm not nervous but clearly, she is.
Sa sobrang nervous nya, nakalimutan nya damit nya. I grabbed my phone and texted Martin to bring a dress.
"Are you nervous?" tanong ko.
"Oo, eh. Paano kung bigla nalang akong pumiyok? Hindi pa naman maganda boses ko. Ang dami pa namang students na manonood satin mamaya." sabi nya. Kitang kita sa mukha nya na kinakabahan sya.
Honestly, I don't know what to do in this type of situation. Let me fight for a hundred of gangsters but never put me in this situation. Natatakot ako na baka mali ang masabi ko and make it all worse.
Hinila ko sya at niyakap. "Para kang tanga. Tingnan mo lang ako or magfocus ka kay Iann." humiwalay ako at kita ko ang pamumula ng pisngi nya kaya napailing nalang ako. Pinalo ko sya ng malakas kaya napasigaw sya. "Ayan. Tandaan mo yang sakit na yan dahil hahampasin pa kita kapag hindi ka pa nagfocus sa performance."
"Ansakit naman eh." she pouted..
"Don't mind those fucking audiences. Just focus on yourself and Iann, and syempre sa performance nyo. Isipin mo din na for grades 'to, not just to impress those stupidents."
She smiled at me. "Thank you, Sakura."
Mayamaya ay tinawagan ako ni Martin para sabihin na dumating na yung dress na pinadala ko. Pinasuot ko yun kay Xandra and this is what she looks like.
Suits her, right? Okay na yan. Bagay naman sa kanya.
"E-eh Sakura, okay lang ba talaga 'to?" she said.
"Bagay kaya sayo. Wag ka na magreklamo. Unless, gusto mo na yung jeans mo kanina ang isuot mo?"
Umiling sya.
And this is mine, by the way. Hindi ko tinanggal yung glasses ko.
We got out of the restroom and saw Iann, waiting for us outside.
"Anong ginagawa mo dito? You pervert!" sabi ko sa kanya.
Namula naman sya and waved his hands na parang humihindi sa sinabi ko. "Hindi ah! Iniintay ko si Alex. Alam ko kasing kabado sya, eh."
"So? Anong balak mo?"
"Kukunin ko muna sayo si Alex, ha? I'll make her feel better para hindi na sya kabahan."
"Teka——-"
Bago pa kami makapagsalita ni Alex, nahila na sya ni Iann papalayo sakin habang natakbo palabas.
Napairap nalang ako sa pagiging "romantic" ni Iann. Hay jusko. Love won't save anyone. Tss, stupid shits.
—— End of Flashback ——
Until now, hindi pa sila nabalik.
"Thank you for a great performance, Villanueva and Francisco!" sabi ng MC. Everyone clapped after the performance.
"Now, without further ado, let us continue to the next performers." masayang saad ng MC. "Let's clap our hands for Wayland and Fujiwara, Sakura!"
■ Jarred ■
Kami na? Agad agad?
Everyone clapped as we made our way sa stage. Umupo sya infront ng piano. Umupo naman ako sa chair na nasa gitna. Kinuha ko ung guitar. I started strumming. And she started playing.
(A/n: Guys! Wag nyo po munang i click ung video hanggang hindi nyo pa natatapos ung lyrics sa baba. Bawal po kasing iplay at basahin ng sabay eh. Imagine nalang na ung dalawa ung kumakanta dun sa vidThank you!)

I looked at her. She really sings like an angel. Kahit na ilang beses ko na syang narinig kumanta.

We just looked at her other the whole time. Sometimes, nakatingin sya sa piano but most of the time, sa akin. Di ako feeler. -__-

We ended the show looking at each other. The claps were the only ones that broke our stare.
"Encore! Encore!" Napatingin kaming dalawa sa sumigaw. Si Shin, Iann, Akira at Alex. =___= The Childs. Nasundan naman yun ng mga claps galing sa audiences. They all shouted encore that made my ears go red.
"So," napatingin naman ako kay Sakura. "Thank you for your cooperation."
Wait. Tangina. Did she just smiled?! Fuck!
This is the first time I saw her smile like this.
I don't believe she's a pure demon. To me, she's an angel. Demon outside, but if you just look harder, you'll find an angel inside her.
Just like her sweet, innocent and angelic voice.
