As Danielle and Hermione approached the Hogwarts Express, Danielle felt her nerves go out of Control. She was often nervous ever since her dream on Christmas Day. Did anyone else know about Malfoy and me? Was the question that was on her mind. She didn’t want others to think that she was a psycho lunatic for feeling a tad bit of attraction towards him. As the two boarded the train Danielle was becoming increasingly anxious she knew that she was bound to run into Malfoy. She always did.
Hermione and Danielle headed down the narrow aisle that lead to the compartments on the train and chose one quickly. Hermione sat across from Danielle and for a while they sat together in a comfortable silence, they were joined by Ginny and Harry a few minutes into the Ride. She wasn’t really listening to the Conversation that the three were having together, she was too caught up in her running into Malfoy.
At least an hour had gone by since Danielle took her seat when her fears were realized. Through the glass window of the compartment door she saw Draco strut by their compartment. Danielle noticed something different about him. His usual arrogant cocky expression was replaced with no emotion. He had faded dark circles under his cold grey eyes. He looked exhausted and in a bit sad in a very monotonous way. Danielle furrowed her brow and looked upon him for what seemed like forever. A small part of her wanted to go over to him and sooth him down, the other part of her made her stay firmly grounded in her seat.

The Train ride to Hogwarts gave Draco a lot of time to think, and this was one of the last things he wanted. The events of Christmas were weighing down upon his life. Lately he had his thoughts set on two things, his ‘mission’ and… Danielle.
Danielle had been on his mind a lot over the Holidays. Before the holiday, Draco was certain that he would be relentless in his pursuit of her, though he would conduct this as discreetly as possible he knew that Danielle would come to him… she had to. Draco planned to stay true to his word no matter what risks he was to take he would do it. When Danielle would return to school, he would be there and he knew that it was what she truly wanted, no matter how much she would object; he knew this true. He would be a complete pain in the ass a about the entire situation, just as he always was. He just wasn’t sure what would happen in the result of it but he had a strong feeling that things would turn out the way he wanted. They had so far.
Now, things were different. He couldn’t go near her. It wasn’t an option for him, he wanted to, he really did, but with everything weighing down upon him it wasn’t possible for him to juggle two things evenly at once. When the time would be appropriate he would make his move on her again. If he got closer to Danielle, something that might not necessarily happen, she might start to figure him out. He had to keep his mission a secret from Danielle, from everyone. If she had figured him out than things would have gotten even more out of control than it already was. Also, a small part of him worried for her safety.
Now, he was to do what was asked of him. Time was a valuable thing he had to keep track of. He failed once to harm Albus Dumbledore; if anything else were to go like this he knew that he was screwed. He had to stay focus on the task that was given to him, if he failed to do so than he knew very well that death was upon him.
His only choice was for him to stay away from Danielle… and everyone else. After all he had been through he wasn’t interested in spending much time with his friends like he usually did. Everyone else seemed relaxed and happy, which was frustrating for him. He didn’t have much desire to be around people anymore. Danielle however was an exception despite all of the misery that they would bring upon one another she would always keep him distracted no matter what mood he was in. Yes, she knew how to calm down Draco Malfoy, she could make him feel better and Draco had a slight suspicion that he distracted her as well.
This didn’t matter. He had to stay away. He had no choice.
