she was having a bad day. it started when she had woken up late. she walked into the living room to see her wide wake making making herself some breakfast.
she had woken up early but hadn't woken her up.
to make it worse it seemed today she had a note on her back that said bring me down. words followed her as she went.
"shouldn't you be shaking your pom poms?
"where's you boy toy?"
"why are you dressed like that?"
"you're probably a disappointment to your parents."
the last one hit her hard. she went to the bathroom and cried. she skipped the rest of her classes and stayed there until school was over.
no one knew what her life was like outside of school. they just assumed it was perfect.
she didn't know what her parents would think. she had always wanted to make them proud. she still did, even if they weren't here to witness it.
what would they think of her now?
she didn't understand how her classmates could be so nice to her only to talk about her behind her back. she didn't understand why their words affected her. after all they were just words.
