Wow! Sorry I haven't been updating! :(
Ari's POV
I decided to go and get a late night snack, because I couldn't sleep.
I hopped out of bed, and went down the stairs heading to the kitchen. I got in the kitchen and opened the cupboard to see what kind of snacks we had.
After looking through it, I decided on gummies. Right before I opened the package, I heard the front door open, and close. Oh no.
"Stay calm Ari." I said trying to wash my fears away.
I went over to the drawer with silverware, and pulled out a knife. I slowly and quietly walked into the foyer, holding up my weapon. I turned the corner, only to face a dark shadow. They must have noticed what I had in my hand, so the put both of their hands up.
"Don't you dare move." I said, trying to hide my fear.
"Ari, calm down its just me." The voice said turning on the light.
I gasped. There stood Niall, but only with a black eye, 3 or 4 cuts on his face, and bloody knuckles.
"Niall what-" He held up his hand, stopping me from talking.
"Don't. We don't need to talk about it." He said walking past me, and into the kitchen.
I followed him into the kitchen, not knowing what to do.
"Okay, you don't have to tell me what happened, but just at least let me clean you up?" I asked timidly.
He sighed heavily. "Fine."
I half smiled and headed to the bathroom to get the first aid kit.
I came back into the kitchen, and sat down the first aid kit on the kitchen table.
"Niall, come and sit." I said. He grunted annoyed and came over to sit.
I got the supplies I needed out of the box and started to wipe the blood off of his face. The whole time I was fixing him up, his eyes were burning into me. I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable, I just don't like people staring at me.
"Done!" I said cleaning up the mess I had made. Niall smiled, but still looked uneasy. I couldn't help but wonder what happened to him. I wanted to ask again, but I know that he won't tell me.
"Why won't you tell me what happened?" I asked, not actually meaning to.
His face turned from relaxed, to flat out angry. Wow, great job Ari.
"Because you would freak out if I did." He said running his fingers through his hair.
"Just tell me!" I said. He sighed heavily, running his hands down his face. He looked at me, probably preparing for my reaction.
"Okay, well...some guy broke into the house asking where you were. And he told me about the stuff that he was going to do to you, and he tried to get me on his side, and even pay money. But when he explained why he wanted you, that set me off. I got so pissed. I just couldn't help but beat the shit out of him. He got a few good hits on me, but he turned out way worse than I did." He said with a cocky smirk plastered on his face.
My heart swelled at the thought of Niall protecting me. But I know deep down that that's why he is here. To protect me. Bobby would take care of that if he were here, but since he isn't, that's Niall's job.
"Thank you." I said wrapping my arms around him. Me hugging him caught him off guard, but he was quick to wrap his arms around me.
"It's my pleasure. I will always protect you Ari." He said, whispering
At this point, I don't know what I would do without Niall. And to be honest, I don't care.
All I know is that I have him now, and always will.
