"Hey girl, you missed me?" My cousin Rayne said standing in the doorway with a luggage.
The last time I seen her was three months ago when she left town to go move in with her boyfriend.
I smiled softly. "Of course." I said letting her in.
She looked way different than when I last seen her.
Her butt was bigger, her nose was shaped differently, and she got a new hair color.
"You look cute, where y'all going?" She asked taking her 6-inch heels off.
"I'm not going anywhere, but she is." Robin said rolling her eyes.
Robin and Rayne never really gotten along. Robin claimed that Rayne was always fake towards her. Since high school they've always bumped heads, but I understood where Robin was coming from.
"Oh, where are you going?" Rayne asking.
"On a date .." I said.
"A date? Since when did you go out?" She laughed, flipping his 26-inch weave over her shoulder.
"Since tonight." Robin said with an attitude. "Anyways go get dressed girl it's almost time."
I shook my head, walking away hoping I didn't make a mistake leaving them alone together.
Walking into the bathroom, I looked at the dress Robin picked out. I honestly don't remember buying it since I didn't go for clothes that'll show a lot of skin.
After putting the dress on, I looked into the long mirror on the wall and I kind of like it.
I did a spin and flattened out my dress.
I slipped on my heels and adjusted my lipstick. I also made sure my eyebrows were good before exiting the bathroom to show the girls.
"Well?" I said getting their attention.
"Girl if I was gay." Robin exaggerated getting up. "Turn around." She demanded.
I turned around and she put her hand to her forehead dramatically. "Look at that ass!" She said grabbing a chunk of it.
I laughed and looked at Rayne. "Rayne what do you think?" I asked.
"I mean ..it's okay." She shrugged.
Robin smacked her lips. "Girl you look good."

I locked my phone and quickly grabbed my purse.
"He's outside." I said nervously.
"Calm down, don't stress it. Just don't give up the cookies tonight." Robin said giving me a pep talk. "But if he got money, give him the whole jar." She joked.
I playfully rolled my eyes and laughed.
"Are you gonna be here until I get back?" I asked. I really needed someone to watch Princess.
"I got Princess okay? I know that bitch won't watch her." She said referring to Rayne.
We walked to the front door and there he was. Standing there so perfectly.
He was dressed in designer jeans, and a Tommy Hilfiger windbreaker.
I bit my lip looking at him up and down.
He had a bouquet of white roses in his hand. "Damn." August said looking me up and down. "Oh shit, ma' bad. Dese fa' you." He said handing me the flowers.
"Thank you." I ask taking them.
"Maybe you should give up the cookies." Robin whispered to me.
I nudged her and she took the flowers from me. "I'll put these in a vase." Robin said walking away.
"Ya ready ta go?" He asked.
I nodded and we walked to his car.
But as soon as they got into the car, Rayne came to the window, recognizing the car. Rayne shrugged it off, thinking it was just a coincidence.

August pulled out Kaya's chair and she sat down slowly as she smoothed out her dress.
August took that as an opportunity to get a good look at her ass and thanked God that it was real.
August quickly moved to his seat and sat down in his seat across from Kaya getting comfortable.
"So August, what do you do for a living?" She asked getting straight to it.
August cursed to himself. "I own a couple restaurants 'round hea and thea'." He answers leaving out the drug part. "You?"
"I'm a doctor, I work in the triage, but thinking of becoming a pediatric doctor." She smile proudly.
"Oh you like kids?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
Kaya nodded. "Love them, their innocence warms my heart."
August nodded. He knew his nieces would love her.
The waitress game to their table to take their order. "Hello, I'm Catherine. I'll be your waitress for the rest of the night. Are you both ready to order?" She asked mainly looking at August.
Kaya glared at her and cleared her throat.
She was happy that August haven't looked at her at all and his eyes were still focused on her.
"Yes, I'll have a glass of red wine, the shrimp pasta with the breadsticks, make sure to bring butter too." Kaya said.
"Alright and for you sir?" She asked.
"Same." He said blandly.
Kaya blushed a little, loving the fact he didn't pay the waitress no mind at all.
The waitress sucked her teeth and nodded her head then walked away to place their order.
Kaya crossed her legs and felt her phone vibrate in her purse indicating she received a message.
"You mind if I check this message? My friend is watching my dog." Kaya asked politely.
August nodded his head. "Gone head baybeh'."
Kaya blushed at the fact that he called her baby.
She unzipped her purse and pulled out her phone.

Kaya's heart sped up as she locked her phone and put it back inside her purse.
Putting on a fake smile for August, she flipped her hair back.
The waitress returned with their food and drinks.
"Thank you." Kaya said even though she didn't want to.
The waitress rolled her eyes and slipped a paper under August's drink as she placed it down on the table.
Kaya looked at her plate hungrily not paying any attention.
"What dis fa'?" August said trying to make a scene.
"I uh-
"Nah, I should get yo uglass fired. Givin meh ya raggedy numba' while I'm wit ma lady." August said loudly getting everyone's attention.
"I'm sorry, please. I need this job." The waitress panicked.
Kaya was confused. She noticed the little paper. She quickly grabbed it and balled it up.
"You obviously don't if you're flirting with my man." Kaya said
"Please I'm sorry-
"Go get da check." August said waving her off.

August parked his car in front of Kaya's building and turned the car off.
"I'm sorry bout tanight." August spoke first ending the silence.
"Not your fault." Kaya said playing with her freshly done nails.
"I wanna try again ..maybe ah movie?" August asked.
"Yeah, that sounds nice." Kaya said smiling to herself. "I'll call you later." She said getting out the car.
"Ight, night beautiful."
"Goodnight August."
Kaya left and walked into the building.
August watched her until the door closed the his phone vibrated.
