I woke up tha next morning wit my phone going off. I turned it on squinting my eyes cuz tha screen was bright as hell. I looked at it was a text from August. I smiled whil unlocking my phone and opened up tha message.

I blushed and got out of bed and went to my bathroom turning on my shower water and hopped in. I got out,dried off,applied some sweet pea lotion,put on some undergarments, I put on a baggy long sleeved grey sweater,some ripped jeans,grey low top convers,and my grey cap dat had 'Princess' on it..y'all I'm obsessed wit caps.
I walked to my dresser put on a sliver necklace dat had 'princess' on it as well,my earrings,and bracelets. I sat on tha edge of my bed and laced up my convers.
My phone buzzed and I checked it was august saying he was out side. I texted him back telling him ok I fixed my hair and put my phone in my pocket. I grabbed my house key and left out tha doo'.
I jogged down tha apartment stairs. To his car. He saw me coming and unlocked tha car doo' and I got in putting on my seatbelt. I looked up he was looking at me I blushed and held my cheek looking back down at my phone.
I peeked back up he was still staring.
"Wat"I muffled while blushing hard.
"Nun nun"he shook his head.
I shrugged my shoulders and looked back down. He drove off screeching tha tires to where eva we was going.
We was on da highway and I looked at August fo a long time I neva noticed tha tattoos on his sideburns till now.
He took a quick glance at me deen focused back on tha rode. I examined him more tattoos all on his arm. We'll I been seeing dat. He shifted in his seat and scooted up in his seat mo. I bit my lip he looks so damn concentrated on tha rode. He turned down tha radio and chuckled.
"Wassup wit tha staring ma"he chuckled."chu see sumn chu like"he took a glance at me.
I shook outta my staring gaze and looked back at my phone scrolling thru my insta feed.
*At Macdonalds*
We pulled up and I got out tha car and closed tha doo' gently. We walked in tha MacDonald's he held tha doo' opened I thanked him. We walked in and I could feel him staring at my ass. I hate my hips it makes me look fat sometimes. I pulled my sweater down ova my ass and dats y chu always wear stuff dats too big or baggy cuz chu can cover ur curves.
But mines was still showing. I walked up to tha counter and tapped my perfectly white pedicure nails on tha counter while standing on my tippy toes squinting at tha menu.
I ordered and so did August. We went to a booth and sat down I put my face in one of my hands and deen my phone on tha table while I'm scrolling thru insta. It was silent so I had broke da silence.
"Wat cha do yesterday"I asked.
"Nun juss chilled wit ya brotha wbu"he shrugged on his phone.
"Nun went out on a date nun new"I teased.
Let's see how he responds. He looked up from his phone and looked at me.

We walked out tha MacDonald's to august car and he unlocked it. We got in and he drove off.
"Wat was dat about"he laughed hopping on tha freeway.
"Juss some gurl I used to get into it wit in high school"I shrugged.

I got out my seatbelt and august opened tha car doo' and I got tha food and held my keys in my mouth. August go tha food and I got out tha car and thanked him closing tha doo'.
He locked his car and followed me to my apartment. I walked up tha steps and my neighbor was out on tha rail. I waved to him and he nodded and I unlocked my door.
I walked in turning on my lights. August walked behind me I closed tha door locking it.
He sat tha food on tha island and looks around.
"Nice crib ma"he smiled at me.
"Thanks"I smiled back.
I stood on my tippy toes looking in tha bag getting my food so did august a and I sat on tha couch turning on tha TV. August sat down too.
"Chu know yo brotha almost kills somebody ova chu rt"he laughed.

My doorbell rung and august got off me and I fixed my sweater. I wiped tha rest or my tears and august laid across tha couch.

I was confused as hell I didn't order nun. I opened tha doo' it was Jamar.

I nodded my head gulping. He walked ova to tha couch and grabbed his phone deen shots juss fired they my living room window and we ducked down.

When it stopped we stayed down fo a few mins to see if anymore was coming it wasn't he got on his phone calling my brotha...
"Ayee yo king....chu need to come ova like quick......I'm at Tony house...dats not important but fr hurry up mayne dey was shooting at yo sis apartment... Yea she good she rt chea.."he explained.
"Chea ma he wanna talk to chu."he handed me his phone.

Tony:I was wit August deen my doorbell rung so I went to go get it I asked who was it..dey said delivery.. Deen I opened tha doo' it was Jamar..he was saying he missed me and wanted to get back together.. He was grabbing on me and I pushed him..August asked who was at tha doo' and came and saw Jamar dey got into it deen Jamar threw me into a wall deen chocking me deen august pulled out His gun making him leave...outta no where tha shots fire....I'm scared king.
King:chu iight chu get hit.
Tony:no I didn't get hit.
King:good put august back on tha phone.

I gave him his phone back and dey started talking.
"King she can't go wit chu cuz he gon know chu gon be tha first person to take ha......I'll take ha...do chu want yo sista to stay chea ad get shot up....ok deen....ok mayne...iight"he nodded his head
He hung up tha phone and put his phone in his pocket.
"Go pack some clothes cuz chu gon stay wit me fo a while"he groaned rubbing his forehead."fuck"he whispered.
I walked in my room packing my clothes and shit. When I was finished I rolled my suitcases out to tha living room.

He got my bags and took deem down to his car. He came back in.
"Wats going on August"I asked.
"See ma Jamar he tryna kill ya and me practically juss u me and king and whoeva else step in da way"he sighed.

I sniffles and kissed him back. My brotha walked in looking at us well august.
August pulled his hands down from my face but I didn't let go of him.
"So chu got ha packed up"he asked.

I was sleepy tbh I had yawned.
