As I woke up I noticed the time. It was 6:37 am. I'm glad I woke up early. We have the graduation today, and the prom slash dance.
I feel very nervous. I have to give a 3-minute speech. What if I mess up. I feel like I'm going to do the exact same thing as Lizzie McGuire in that move she made. I'm so nervous.
I got out of bed and grabbed a pair of underwear and a bra. I Went to the bathroom and took off my clothes, and turned on the knob of hot water. I took a fifteen minute shower, it felt very relaxing. I put on the stuff I brought and went back to my room.
When I got to my room, someone was at the door knocking. So I looked in the 'peep' hole and I saw it was Lily in a purple robe. I opened the door and she looked like she just took a shower.
"Finally, I've waiting been here for five minutes." Lily said with a scowl on her face . "Well if you don't notice, I just took a shower myself.' I said. "Whatever. So, lets get ready." Lily said while taking her robe off.
Lily and I helped each other put on our dresses. By this point we looked beautiful, maybe when we were done we would look probably perfect. We did our make-up and our hair. Lily put my hair half up half down. It looked gorgeous.
Lily's hair was in a pretty, yet simple ponytail. It complemented her purple dress. It was simple yet, yet like Lily. She looked gorgeous today.
"Hey what time is it?" Lily asked. I turned my head to the clock and it read 11:36. "Its 11:36." I said calmly, not realizing the graduation was at noon. "Ok, cool. Wait, 11:36! We only have 24 minutes!" Lily yelled. "Put your shoes on lets go. And take the grad gowns." I Said.
I looked at myself one more time, and then left. I locked the door and Lily handed me the gown.
I put it on and me and Lily ran all the way to the bus stop, where people were getting on the bus. The bus would then take us to the main auditorium where the graduation was going to be held. But until then me and Lily are stuck on the ride.
We arrived to the auditorium where a lot of parents and family members were outside. I tried to see if I could spot my mom, but someone pushed me to go to the back of the building, where we had to enter.
I went and looked for my spot, I was in the third row. I was kind of nervous Lily sat behind me in her assigned spot. We started to talk when suddenly we heard the other people tell us "you don't want to mess up, there are important CEO's of different companies. looking for people to work for them." "Ok, now I'm nervous." I said while nodding my head with Lily.
"Welcome parents and family members of these wonderful students!" The Dean said while the whole room grew silent.
"We will have short speeches from the following students. Alicia Jameson, William Spence, and Jarjit Singh. All in order please." Dean Martin said.
By this point I was freaking out. I still didn't know what to say. I'm an idiot, why didn't I prepare for this? I stood up and made my way to the podium and shook my hand with the dean and everyone clapped and all that crap.
"I am honored to be here today. To finally graduate, from college, and to start our lives here on forward. But with our lives starting, there is always trouble. Life is a road, we have all the smoothness. But there are always going to be big turns, changes, bumps, and obstacles from keeping us from going to places. But we have to understand, we have a destination, and if we don't overcome these 'delays' you will never be able to get there. So from here on forward, I'm going to take life as it comes to me."
I walked down back to my seat and sat down. When I sat down Lily tapped me on the shoulder and whispered "That was inspiring."
"Thank You" I said back to her.

"I am glad to present to you, the class of 2013." Dean Martin said.
This was one of the momente I have always dreamed about. I took my hat off and threw it on the air. Lily came and hugged me. "We are now graduated. And now we are free!" Lily said while squealing. I started to jump up and down. Lily joined with me.
"This ceremony has now ended." Dean Martin said.
"We are finally adults! Yay! Anyways we have the ceremonial dinner, then we have the dance thingy, whatever it is." Lily said.
We walked to the other auditorium where the dinner and dance was going to be. But I heard a car pull up. Lily and I turned and it wasn't just a car, it was an Escalade sport 2013.
"Are you Ms. Jameson?" The guy driving said. I simply nodded. "Get in the back. You can take your friend." The guy said. "But I don't know you." I said scared. "Don't worry we have important news for you miss. Now if you would, please come in and make yourself comfortable." The guy said. I went grabbed the handle and Lily followed. When we got in there was another guy in there.
He looked kind of attractive. Blonde hair but with a little brunette, greenish blueish eyes, high cheek bones, a nice jawline, and a perfect face you could stare at all day.
"Hello Ms. Jameson. I'm glad you are here. My name is Nathan Alexander, and I'm the CEO of Emporio Armanio But please call me Mr. Alexander." Mr. Alexander said. "Nice to meet you, My name is Alicia Jameson, but I think you already knew that. I Have a question though. Why am I here?" I asked as I shaked my hand with him. His hands were nice and soft and warm.
"Well I went to your graduation, and I saw how nervous you were up there giving your speech. I loved the speech very straight on forward to the point but, with a metaphor. It almost felt like you were actually taking at the moment and telling us exactly what you felt in the inside. I saw how much pontential you had while speaking. So I decided to give you a job offer. The offer is to be my personal assistant, but not just as my assistant. maybe also like the co-CEO of Armani. So may I ask, will you please join?" Mr. Alexander said.
"But why me?" I asked in disbelief. "I had a conversation with my father, and I told him I fired my previous assistant. He asked me for the reason why I had fired her. But I simply said I had no idea. He then suggested to simply hire someone around my age and see if that worked." Mr. Alexander said.
"Please give us a moment." I said gesturing to Lily. "Ok but don't take long, where almost to your destination." Mr. Alexander said.
"Alicia, what the hell. You should take the offer now. Just agree, this is the chance of a life time. If you agree you work with one of the most well known fashion companies in the world. you'll have loads of cash." Lily exclaimed. "I Know, but I don't want to get into something I think is cool, but what if its the opposite, what if its like hell there." I said to her. "Your right. But just take a chance. or-or you can make an agreement with him." Lily said. I was about to argue but she had a point. Make an agreement. I nodded. "Mr. uh Alexander. I'll make an agreement with you." I said confidently to him. "Ok well what's your agreement?" Mr. Alexander said curiously. "Well if you let me go to the place where I will work one day before for the whole time your there just to see what it will be like. What do you say Mr. Alexander?" I asked him
"We will see what we can do. Alright, for the meantime its time" Mr. Alexander said while gesturing to the window.
I nodded and realized we were here. I got out of the truck and said my goodbyes and made my way to the entrance where a lot of other people were entering.
"Hey I think I see my parents, talking with your parents." Lily said I turned my head and luckly I saw them. "Whatever you do, don't tell my parents I have a job offering. Ok?" I told Lily. "Ok, but your going to have to tell them soon, Right?" Lily said looking at me unsurely. "Yeah whatever." I said back
We walked up to our parents. Lily got a hug and a kiss on the cheek by her parents.
I tapped my parents on the shoulder and they turned around and shook my hand, and gave me a cheek to cheek thing. I was a little disappointed, I thought they would give me a big tight hug or something. And all I got was a damn hand shake. I excused myself into the bathroom.
I made my way to the bathroom. When a hand got a hold of my wrist. It was Mr. Alexander he was looking at me while I was looking at the floor. "Are you ready to talk?" He asked. I looked up at him his expression softened "Are you ok Ms. Jameson?" Mr. Alexander asked. "Yeah I'm fine I'll be right back, I'm going to the ladies room." I said.
I made my way to the ladies room, and made sure no one was in the bathroom. I stood in front of the mirror thinking. Why did my parents have me? Why don't they love me? They didn't even hug me. Am I a failure to them? Do they despise me? Are they going to kill me?
I cried a little before I went into one of the stalls and did my business. I walked out and I saw that my face was perfectly normal. I guess my make-up is amazing today. I cleaned myself up and pulled myself together. I quickly unzipped my graduation gown, and then I left to where Mr. Alexander was.
"Hello Mr. Alexander. You wanted to talk?" I asked while trying to speak as formal as I can. "Ahh yes, and may I say you look quite lovely." Mr. Alexander said. "Thank you" I said while looking down to hide my blush. "Well I have been meaning to ask you if we can discuss this maybe at your table?" He asked. I started to panic. I don't want to tell them I have a job. But wait, if I tell them then they wont think I'm a failure. "Sure we wouldn't mind." I said sheepishly. "Alright lets go. Lead the way." He said with a grin, shining his pearly whites. I nodded and took him to the table where my family and Lily's family were.
"Here we are, this is my mom Sharon Jameson, and this is my dad David Jameson, And they are my friends parents." I said. "May I ask who he is?" My dad said. I was about to answer but Mr. Alexander said "Well I am the CEO of Emporio Armani and I have offered your daughter a job there. As my personal assistant and what not." He said. My parents mouths were practically on the floor when he finished the sentence. Did they really not believe in me anymore? My dad practically pulled himself together and said "That would be lovely for my daughter to finally do something for herself." emphasizing the finally.
I was shocked by his statement. I felt useless at that moment. I feel like I'm screaming in the middle of a crowded room and no one seems to notice me. I Also feel embarrassed since Mr. Alexander was there. Was I really a waste of space? I feel used, I feel sad, but most of all I feel hate towards my parents. I didn't owe my parents anything. it was their choice to have, keep, and raise me but it wasn't my choice to be their child. They should accept their child as they are not judge them on a minor detail that doesn't affect their life.
"Hey are you okay?" Lily whispered me in the ear. "Yea I'm fine." giving her a quick smile. "Are you sure?" Lily asked. "Yea." I said.
"If you may all please take a seat. your food will be served shortly." I voice said. On cue everyone took a seat. I took a seat next to Lily and next to Mr. Alexander.
All I knew right now is that this was going to be one hell of an awkward dinner.
Ten minutes into dinner the tension from earlier when my dad said 'That would be lovely for my daughter to finally do something for herself.' many people wouldn't stress about that. But I was sad. I kept replaying in my head.

It hurt when my dad said that. It hurt me mentally and emotionally. I don't understand what exactly I did to them for this. Like I said earlier, it was there choice to raise and keep me. But it was mandatory for them to love me and lend me their trust.
My thoughts were interrupted when dad asked Mr. Alexander "so what other things do you do other than make clothes. At Armani Emporio?"
"As for me as the CEO I do all the business inquires and deals and open up new stores in different places. But as in a whole company we do all you can imagine. We have the designing, the fashion shows the photoshoots, the stores, the factories and so much more. But as for me, I model to. I model some of the clothes and stuff and its a great place to work. It's so alive." Mr. Alexander answered with so much passion that it made me think he was so sweet. I guess Mr. Alexander does have a heart.
I got elbowed by Lily who caught me staring at Mr. Alexander. "Dude you were like eye raping him." Lily whispered in my ear.
I felt my face flush from that comment. Not only was I eye raping him. Ali Ali get yourself together. he is going to be your boss in a few days. I need to stop talking to myself and eat.
I took a bite of my salad when Lily said "You like Nathan don't you?" I instantly froze up when she said that. I could feel heat radiate from my face. "I don't like him, I think he looks yummy" I implied the yummy part. "Wow, who ever knew Ali was a naughty girl?" she said while bumping elbows with me.
*After dinner talk with Mr. Alexander*
"So where exactly is the place where I will be working?" I asked Mr. Alexander. "About that, you do know we are a big company right?" Mr. Alexander said nervously while scratching the back of his head. "Uhm yes I do. Why?" I asked curiously. "Well for you to be my personal assistant, your are going to have to go where I go." he said with an apologetic smile. He looked nervous of me leaving this place I call home. But all I wanted to do was get away from here. "Are you saying the companies are in different places other than here?" I said with a bright smile. "Yes, we have the offices in Italy, Milan, London, New York, Paris, and much more." He said. I smiled and said "That sounds very exciting!". "It certanily is, but dont you wanta to stay at home?" he asked worriedly. "Not really, all I have wanted to do is get out of this place." I exclaimed. "Alright, but do you still want the agreement?" He asked. "Of course not." i spoke with a squeaky voice.
He chuckled, a nice loud,sexy low chuckle. "Alright then, its settled you will leave by tomorrow. So you better pack now Ms. Jameson." He said "I'm going to excuse myself. I'm going to rest for the night. I will meet you at the airport at 5:00 p.m sharp. Good evening Ms." He said an waved, i waved back.
Then suddenly someone elbowed me and asked what happened and i told her everything. "Your leaving me!" Lily exclaimed. "Yes, but i'll call and skype you" I implied to her. "Whatever, lets go party!" Lily said.
When I got on the dance floor with Lily, our song was playing '22' by Taylor Swift. It totally goes with us since we are 22. I fully took off my graduation gown and everyone looked at me. I was the only one without the graduation gown. Lily then did the same thing, then everyone joined us.
When our song ended I pulled my guy best friend , Jake, to dance with me. 'You're Beautiful' by James Blunt started playing. I started to sway my hips when Jake grabbed my hips. I kind of liked Jake, he was nice and cute. At the moment he tugged me closer to him, I liked the control of him right now. It turned me on a bit. He spun me around and we started to kind of waltz a little to the moving tempo. Finally the song ended and Jake hugged me and put a kiss on my temple and said "I'll always protect you.". I let go and said "I know you will."
I said my goodbyes to so many people. I'm happy I get to leave Chicago, but I'm also sad because I have to leave extraordinary people who have helped me through out the years. But like all good things have to end, and my new beginning is about to start. I said my final goodbyes and Lily came with me. We walked to our dorm and went into our separate empty rooms. I'm so glad I could tell my parents to take all my stuff with them.
I stripped out of my clothes since my roommate was going to finally go home (she left a note). And I immediately called Lily to come. We then spent the night talking and I fell asleep in bed. I was at least happy that I could start my life.
