Well, I got this idea to write a poem about love whilst I was falling asleep, so why not? Shoutout to all the people I love <3
Love,
What an odd feeling,
One I'm unable to flaunt,
The one that confuses me.
The feeling that keeps me up at night,
Staring into the blank horizon,
Smiling undoubtedly like a doofus,
But all I think about is you.
Some might say I'm too young,
To call a relationship 'love'.
Sure, I can understand where you're coming from,
But he means the world to me and I wouldn't stop caring for him,
Not even for a minute.
Isn't that love?
Or is it caring?
Seems like there's no proper definition
Worthy to serve to 'love'.
Love doesn't need a string of words,
To decorate its belonging in this dystopian--
The one we call our home.
It's the sense of courage, care and acceptance
That you provide for another,
The person who makes a distinct, significant difference in your life.
When you love someone;
When you want to be with them,
You strive for it,
You dedicate for it.
Because when you truly care for someone,
There's no boundary too far to cross;
There's no wall too high to climb;
There's no river of emotion too deep to swim through.
I care for you more than others,
I accept you for all your flaws,
I embarrass myself plenty of times in front of you,
I am rendered speechless by your presence.
I'm absolutely fond of you,
I'm appreciative of your company,
And the one thing that I've finally come to fathom:
I have loved you,
I still love you,
And I will love you.
