"How do you not have popcorn, (y/n)?"
"I don't know? Because I don't?"
Bucky tore away from the cabinet he was ransacking and sent you a squinted stare.
"What?!" you defended, your eyes averting momentarily from the tv screen.
"Popcorn is literally the staple food of movies. How do you not know the simple facts of humanity,"
"I don't know, mayOH MY GOD BUCK LOOK!"
"If it's another piece (f/n) shit, I am going to throw you out of the window," Bucky sighed walking to the couch.
"THE NEW (SEASON/MOVIE) OF (Y/F) IS FINALLY ON NETFLIX THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE I AM GOING TO CASUALLY FALL TO THE FLOOR AND CRY MY EYES O–"
Bucky placed a hand over you mouth and groaned boredly. "You'e lucky I love you, or I would've actually launched you off of the balcony,"
He let go of your mouth and placed his hands over his hips.
You imitated him, standing on your tippy toes to level with him.
But he smirked and stood on his toes, which made you roll your eyes and poke his nose.
"Jealous?" he teased.
"As if," you scoffed.
"I'll go with it," he winked.
"I'm hungry," you groaned. "I skipped dinner for this,"
"No shit Sherlock, you literally have no food in your room,"
"That's all on Sam and Nat. They live, eat, and breath my kitchen."
"Hey, I thought I was the only one who could do that?!"
"You were!"
"Okay (y/n), there is a difference between were and are. Get your facts straight woman,"
"I am still hungry," you roared, sprawling over the couch on your stomach, letting your limbs fall as they may.
"That was attractive," Bucky applauded.
"I know," you agreed. "So attractive, that I still don't have a boyfriend,"
"Well," Bucky paused as he flopped on top of you. Your stomach pressed into the couch as you let out an inhuman mix between a wheeze and a squeal. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm so hot I don't have a girl yet,"
"Hey!" You breathed out.
"Yeah yeah, I know you are my girl. My best friend. But I meant girlfriend," He rested his head on yours, and wrapped his arms around your torso. His metal arm dug into your side, and you couldn't help but laugh. You didn't know what was so funny about it.
"Hey Buck," you strained.
"Hmm?"
"It's really cool that my ribs are getting crushed and my lungs are becoming deflated and all, but I kinda still want them on me... or what's left of them,"
Bucky cackled and got off from you.
"Oh you sweet summer child," he shook his head, staring at your body embedded into the couch.
You stayed still, trying to move. "A little help?"
He rushed to gently pick you up and flip you over.
"That was cute," you chuckled airily.
"Of course it was. I'm James Buchanan Barnes,"
"Yeah, uh-huh," you nodded your head. "Legitimatley,"
"Meanwhile, did you pick the movie?"
"Oh yeah, because I wasn't being sat on by my best friend!"
"Salty," he remarked. "We have nothing to eat either,"
"Eh, I'll live," you shrugged. "Can you turn off the lights please?"
"I don't know, can I?" Bucky smirked.
"Just–"
"Yeah I know, I know,"

You both finally decided on Mean Girls. You've watched it more than twenty times, but this was Bucky's first.
And to say he was enjoying it would be a disrespectfully false understatement.
Your head was rested on his shoulder with your arms wrapped arounf him, as he rested his head on top of yours, imitating the gesture.
Every five seconds;
"DAYUM,"
"REGINA NEEDA CHILL,"
"BRUHH,"
"OMG WHY,"
"WHAT THE HELL?!"
"(Y/N) I AM DYING,"
Can you not?
"Buck you're hair is getting in the way," you complained.
"Deal with it," he groaned.
"I can't" you whined.
"What do you want me to do?"
"Here," you shifted in his arms and raked your fingers through his hair so it was all gathered up, then took the rubber band from your wrist and put his locks up into a man bun.
"Hot," you nodded.
"So hot," Bucky commented like a valley girl, placing his hand underneath his chin.
You then watched the second Mean Girls, which he didn't seem to enjoy much, so you put on Matilda instead.
You loved this movie with everything you had, and Bucky wasn't very keen on watching it, but you forced him to.
It was at the part when Matilda and Ms. Honey are in the Trunchbull's house when your eyelids began to droop.
The side of his head rested on the top of yours, and small snores shook his body lightly.
Before you had a chance to even move a muscle, you were long gone too.
—
The morning was bittersweet. It was dark and rainy, but was aesthetic and eased you to not start your day too fast or early.
You were about to turn around, but you remember you aren't on your bed.
You look around a bit, then realize Bucky is laying down next to you, holding you to his body, trying to keep all the warmth for you.
His lips were on your shoulder, and his leg was draped over yours.
Your cheeks flush, and your heart picks up.
"Bucky," you whisper, nudging him slowly.
"Bucky,"
"Bucky,"
"Buck,"
"Hey, c'mon Buck,"
His eyes finally fluttered open, he smiled once he saw you, but when he noticed how dangerously close he was to you, he quickly brings his hands and legs to himself, sitting up right, as you had a few minutes ago.
"I- I'm sorry,"
But you were silent. You weren't sure how to react.
"This was– ok this must've been really awkward, uh, I just– force of habit– I mean, not that I sleep with anyone else, uh, no way, haha that's arouse some suspicion... but I'm so used to holding onto something that I don't break myself in my dreams somehow, I guess– maybe it was like–"
You don't know what compelled you to do what you did next, but you leaned forward, and shyly placed a small kiss in his lips.
He was surprised, but nonetheless, he returned the kiss, a bit more harder than you had started with, but you weren't complaining.
It was quite a long kiss, the both of you wanting to hold every moment for as long as it could possibly be held.
Slowly pulling away, the you and Bucky were pink in the cheeks, trying to find words to surmount what had just happened.
Bucky chuckled and held your face in his hands.
"Attractive," you both commented at the same time.
