(Lilliana's POV)
And just like that, my world fell apart. I could literally hear my heart shatter into a million pieces, like a vase falling from a tower. The shards of glass pierced my skin and the earth beneath me crumbled into nothing. I was now falling into a bottomless pit that burrowed down into infinity.
I didn't cry at first. All I did was watch the screen. It showed flashing lights and icy rain and blood and sirens and police and doctors. All hustling to save my Ed. My beautiful Ed who shared with me the best evening of my life.
Then the screen went dark.
I cried. I screamed and cursed and moaned and wailed and complained like a baby. There was obviously nothing I could possibly do about it. But what was I doing? Making a complete fool of myself. Embarrassing myself in front of no one.
He gave me life, and lots of oxygen.
With him, I was in love again.
He held me tight.
He was mine.
It's him I miss. And I let it out.
