Louis:
You're standing in front of the mirror, brows knit together in frustration at the reflection staring back at you.
"Love, are you ready to go?" You hear Louis call from the living room.
"Just a minute!" You reply, turning back to the mirror. Sucking in your breath, you puff your chest out, raising your shoulders in attempt to make yourself look taller and failing miserably.
"(Y/N)?" You jump, whipping around to find Louis standing in the doorway. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing..." You mumble, giving him a weak smile before hurrying to put your jacket on.
"Did you change something? You look different." He asks, tilting his head to the side.
"Oh no, everything's the same." You say as you walk out the door, stumbling and nearly face planting onto the carpet as a result of the new shoes you'd decided to wear.
"Woah! Slow down there, crazy," Louis teases, helping you back up. "Hey, is it just me or did you grow overnight?"
"I uh, bought a new pair of shoes." You reply, a shrug rolling off your shoulders.
"Are you wearing heels? We're just going to the park."
"I thought... they would make me look taller." You mumble, staring down at your feet which are already starting to hurt.
"What's wrong with how you were before?"
"I'm so short! I'm short and flat and I look like a twelve year old boy." You huff, crossing your arms across your chest. "I'm like... a gnome."
Louis holds back a laugh as he leads you back to the bedroom, sitting you down as he carefully removes the shoes from your feet. "(Y/N), you absolutely do not look like a twelve year old boy or a gnome, I promise. You are absolutely perfect just the way you are, shortness and all," He says with a smile, pressing a quick kiss to your lips before helping you back up, lacing his fingers with yours. "Don't you worry your pretty little head over it, okay?"
