"Maybe it was never real. Maybe we created this fantasy in our heads, maybe we romanticised the idea of a secret love a little too much. Just you and I, being reckless, us against the world. I miss that. Our secret glances when we thought no one could see us or our inside jokes that only we understood; maybe it was just an illusion.
