Chapter 1

Beep beep. Beep beep. Beep beep. The sound of the alarm screamed into Kirona's ears as his hand searched for the button to stop it. Everything blurry from waking up, he felt the alarm and smashed his fist against it. Silence filled his room as he let out a big sigh. "Well, another new day," he told himself. Kirona sat up and stretched letting out a big yawn before leaving to the bathroom. He washed himself up as he does every morning and stared at himself in the mirror afterwards. He had calm, relaxed hazel eyes with a pointy chin and long, wavy brown hair flaring out to his side with the sides and back of his head trimmed short. He went to his room, got dressed, and went to the kitchen. "Good morning Kirona!" His mother exclaimed. "Why don't you go on ahead and eat! I made all your favorites!" "Thanks mom," Kirona said as his stomach growled. He sat next to his father who was drinking some coffee and eating some toast. Kirona started to eat fast because he didn't want to be late to school. "Woah woah woah easy on the food there Kirona! You're gonna get a stomach ache!" His father chuckled. "Alright i'm off," Kirona said as he was grabbing his backpack. "Ok, see you later honey," his mother waved. He waved back and was about to head out the door when his father grabbed him by the arm. "Is something wrong pops?" "I-i just wanted to tell you to have a good day. You're doing very well and you are keeping me and your mother very proud," his father said with a smirk. He tapped Kirona on the shoulder and he was off. Kirona made it to school standing at the entrance watching the other students walk in. He took a deep breath and started making his way to his first class. This was the start to another new day.
