Rayvin's POV
I heard the news of my father's return before anyone else had and was now on my way to meet him at the Portal.
He'd been gone for about a week, although in that weird dimension I believe it would have only been about 14 or 15 hours at most.
I'd heard that he had captured one of the strongest souls we have ever encountered before!
I was beaming brightly at my father by the time he appeared in the entrance. I ran and jumped on him, holding on as if my life depended on it.
I hadn't been through the Portal yet, but I think when my birthday comes in 3 days, I will be experiencing it for my very first time. I couldn't wait, although I've heard that it could be quite painful.
I lived for pain though, I would do anything to ensure that my father was proud of me and if enduring pain was what it took to do that, then I would do exactly that.
I felt the rumble before I heard it. It was the rich sound of my father's laugh. He was laughing heartily at my actions and I smiled wider... if that was even possible.
"Ah... Rayvin. I've missed you my beautiful angel. I'm sorry I left you alone for a week... I'll be quicker to return next time I am sent away on a mission." He spoke, grinning brightly at me.
"Can I see it?!" I asked excitedly, knowing he'd know exactly what I was talking about. His face screwed up in confusion before a knowing smile spread across his face.
"I would if I could hun... but this is a special case, so I am not allowed to let any one see this soul. I am to guard it with my life hun." He said completely serious, which was rare for him to do while talking to me. I nodded solemnly.
Then we began our walk back into our world known as Ancient Engarh.
