"Hey baby" Daniel, my hot and smart boyfriend said as he gave me his perfect and heart-stopping smile. I sometimes asked myself how he noticed me and fell in love with me when he can practically find way more beautiful girls here in school.
Guess I am lucky that he saw me first and I'm glad he did. He is everything I always wanted for a long time and he makes me happy every single day. I remember the first day we met and I guess it was love at first sight because when we our gazes met for the first time, sparks flew around us and it was like we were the only two people in the world.
Yeah, I know it sounds cliché and very cheesy but I can't help but to think it was like that. For me, it was like that and maybe for him too.
"Hi weirdo" I smile as I wrapped my arms around his neck, my brown eyes meeting his blue eyes. I swear I can look at him all day if I could because he is so damn beautiful, I mean his blue eyes, his soft, black hair and his amazing body. Yeah, I guess I've been checking him out lately.
I can't contain myself when it comes to look at him and drool a lot.
"Say I'm weirdo again or I have to shut you up" he chuckles.
"W.E.I.R.D.O, weirdo" I laugh.
"Ok, now it's on" he says as he leans in, crashing his lips onto mine. He put his hands on my waist as we kissed slowly in front of people. But our kissing scene was interrupted when my friend, Emma, cleared her throat loudly behind Daniel. We broke our kiss at the same time and we both looked at Emma who had a smile on her face.
"Mandy did you know that tonight there's party made by the most popular guy on school? He invited all of us, including Daniel" she said as she gave little jumps on the floor and she looked like a child who had just got a present from Santa Claus.
"No I didn't know about that" I frown as I looked at Daniel.
"Me either" he says and shrug at her.
"Well now you know and we're going" Lilly says as she walks towards us. She crossed her arms and arched an eyebrow.
"Since when you're the leader of this group? " I laughed as I look at her.
"Since now you bitches" Lilly smirked and we all laughed.
"No but really, let's go the party please?" Lilly whined as Emma nodded her head to us.
"Ok then" Daniel smiled and Lilly and Emma both jumped in happiness. I shook my head and laughed at them. When my hysterical laugh died down, I cleared my throat to ask the next question.
"So, who's party are we talking here girls? " I asked and they both looked at each other and smiled before their gazes met mine.
"Erick's party and he wants to continue that night when you two kissed each other and you ran away. By the way why did you ran away Mandy?" Emma said and just then everything disappeared when I woke up in my room, my eyes opened instantly.
My head was pounding as my heart was beating so fast in my chest.
It was just a scary nightmare Mandy, I said over and over again in my head but I couldn't shake the nightmare away. It felt so real for me. It was like that night was coming back again but in a nightmare.
2 years has passed since that night I don't want to remember. The night when I almost got raped by the most, popular guy on school. The night where I ran away from him so he couldn't catch me but I knew he would and he will one day, I just know.
I don't know where he is and he stopped going to school after that night and nobody knew why because he disappeared completely, like he was some ghost or something. People thought he was dead and his family made a funeral without his body. I mean, how can they just make a funeral when they don't really know if he is dead or not? Maybe because he was gone for too long now that they gave up and they just assumed he was dead.
Everyone now has forgotten about him but I didn't and I somehow know he is out there now but I don't know where is and that freaks me out a lot.
Believe me, I want to tell people about that night but I just can't. Words don't come out and that frustrates me in so many ways. Yes, I do want him in jail and he deserves it but he is out of sight now and he can't be found. Yes, I should've called the police after that happened but I didn't thought about it. All I wanted to do is run away from there as soon as possible.
I shook my head as I pushed away the thoughts about that unforgettable night. I stood up from the bed as I looked through the window and the bright sun almost blinded my eyes as I covered my eyes with my hand. I looked at the pink and big clock hanging in my purple wall.
It was 12:30 pm and it's Saturday. Maybe all I need now is fresh air to get out this thoughts away.
I opened the door and walked straight to the bathroom. I closed the bathroom door as I quickly got off my pajamas and I tied up my long, brown hair into a bun before I got in to the shower. The warm water made me feel relaxed as I washed my body with my white soap. When I finished showering myself, I opened the curtain and grabbed my towel as I wrapped it around my naked body. I opened the door slowly and when I made sure there was no one around, I quickly ran to my room as I closed the door of my room. I walked to my drawers as I opened them and took sweatpants and a simple white t-shirt. When I finished putting my clothes, I picked some random black converse, put them on and walked away from my room and down the stairs. I decided to leave with my messy bun since I didn't want to brush my hair correctly.
I'm lazy sometimes... well most of the time.
"Where are you going?" my lovely mom asked from the couch where she was sitting with my dad on her side. Both of them turned their heads to look at me standing there.
"I'm going for a walk with Bullet" I smiled as I bent down on my knees and called for my dog's name, Bullet. I called him like three times until he came with this tongue sticking out of his mouth. He was big and he was black so I think that's why I called him Bullet. I don't know, it kind of suits him.
"Hey buddy, let's go for a walk shall we?" I said as I caressed his head with my hand.
"Do you think he is going to answer that?" my dad chuckled at the same time when Bullet barked at me.
"Yeah, he already did" I laughed as I stood up and waved at my parents before I got out of the house with Bullet on my side. My dog was leash-free because I trained him to stay by my side always when he was just a puppy. Yeah he did ran away from me several times before but he grew up and he is now different. I'm glad that I don't have to use leash with him cause I never liked using one.
We walked together onto the sidewalk as we made our way to the park that was not far away from home. The sun beamed upon my face, my gaze was locked onto the cloudless sky, a shining blue that could allow me feed off of it's beauty and live forever. It was beautiful and breath-taking at the same time that it made me forget everything I was thinking just minutes ago.
I walked with Bullet by my side until we stopped at the same time at the playground where kids played like there's no tomorrow. Laughing with no care in the world; living like it's the last day of their lives. I miss my childhood and I'd do everything to just live it again and again.
Everyone wants the same thing as me but our childhood is gone and all we have left is our future. Always think of the future and not the past. I want to forget the past so badly but that night is tattooed on my head; I can't let it go away, I can't erase it.
I sighed loudly as I made my way to the forest with Bullet still by my side. I walked in the forest and made my way to my secret place. People don't usually come here so that's a bonus for me because I can officially be alone there, in my secret place.
My feet making loud noises because of the branches left on the ground as the sun glowed trough the high and thin trees, leaving yellow spotlights everywhere. Bullet was breathing hard with his tongue out of his mouth and I couldn't but chuckle. He did looked funny when did that.
When I reached my destiny, I walked out of the big forest and smiled. The river running through the huge rocks, the sun still glowing and making the river glow as well. To the other side of the river, there was an open field with a couple of trees. The sight of it made you want to stay there forever if you could and never leave. I remember when I ran away from that house that night and I came here to calm myself. You might think that I'm crazy because I came here instead of the police station but I felt safe here.
I sat at the green ground as Bullet sat by my side as well. I crossed both of my legs and sighed, relieved and finally, relaxed. I sat there and listened to the birds singing and flying gracefully in the cloudless sky. Then, Bullet growled and barked loudly, almost close to my ear making me jump.
"Hey buddy, what's wrong?" I worriedly asked as I looked at him but he was looking at the forest and he wasn't sitting anymore. He started to bark again and again and it was kind of annoying me.
"Bullet, shut up. There's nothing there" I yelled as I covered my ears. Maybe he was barking for nothing because there was nothing out there. Maybe he saw some squirrel and he is now barking because of it.
Suddenly, Bullet ran away through the forest and quickly disappeared.
"Bullet, come back here" I screamed as I stood up and ran after him. I screamed his name again and again as I ran through the branches. The branches cutting my hands, arms and face as I pushed them away and my long hair fell down my face and my back. It doesn't matter how many scratches the branches left me, all I wanted for now is to find my dog, my best friend.
I ran and ran as I screamed his name but I couldn't hear him or see him anywhere. I stopped in the middle of nowhere as I looked around.
"Bullet" I cried this time. I was losing it now but I didn't give up on him. I know he is somewhere and I'm going to find him.
Suddenly, I hear a dog whining somewhere and I knew it was him.
"Bullet, where are you?" I cried as I followed his whines. Then I stopped when I saw him laying on the ground in front of me. He was still whining almost crying.
"Oh my God" I gasped as I bent down to get a better look at his weak body. I touched his body carefully and when I touched his upper leg, he cried even harder.
"I'm sorry Bullet, I'm going to take you out of here now. Please, stay still" I said between tears that were now streaming down my face. Then, a folded paper that was between his skin and red collar caught my attention. I carefully took it out as I tried not to hurt him even more. I arched an eyebrow as I unfolded it with my trembling hands. I held it with my fingers as I read the bad-written note but I could understand what it said.
Guess your dog is not very well trained after all. You should teach him to stay quiet next time Mandy.
I couldn't help but gasp.
Who the hell is this person? How does he know my name? Why did he leave this note on my dog's collar?
Does he want to scare me? Because if he is; then he should feel happy. I'm way more scared than that, in fact I'm terrified.
I'm paralyzed with fear.
