I stare into the mirror, and brown eyes full of tears stare back at me.
It was supposed to be a fun day.
I had just gone to the playground to have a good time, when the bullies from my school began to pick on me like they always did.
"Cry baby! Cry baby!"
Everyone calls me Cry Baby. I'm sick and tired of it, it's like nobody even knows my real name anymore. I'm just Cry Baby to them.
I tried to tell them to stop, but before I could begin, I began to cry.
The teasing and taunting continued, and eventually I gave up on trying to make them stop. So I just ran- well, cried- all the way home.
Wiping my eyes for what seemed like the thousandth time, I trudged over to my purple dresser and grabbed my pink diary off of the top of it. I flipped to a blank page, grabbed a pen, and began to write-
Dear Diary,
Another horrible day at the park. I was just getting on the slide when one of the bullies pushed me down and got her friends to join in. They all used my now official nickname, Cry Baby, to try to upset me. I tried to explain, but before I could start, those cry baby tears came out of the dark. It's like there's a faucet in my eyes, and whenever someone does something that offends me, they turn the faucet, and my tears pour out where everyone can see.
But for now, I'll cry on. Their mean words won't hurt me.
Tears fall to the ground, I'll just let them drown.
I closed my diary and put it back in it's place on my dresser. Taking a deep breath, I went back over to my mirror, wiped my eyes, and re-tied my brown pigtails.
And then, I went back to the playground.
