Chapter 21-plan
***Bella's POV***
We just sent Amelia to bed and so has Max gone Reneesme and Jacob would be going up in a bit. I'm so happy that she has finally found her other half even through she is four and pretty much just joined our family. Amelia and Max both look so happy but they don't even touch each other I wonder why... But then again they probably find it awkward. Whenever Emmett says something to her she immediately looks at Edward. She probably thinks he'll freak out. But she looks scared and a mixture of anger. Edward told me that even with Jasper, himself, Emmett and Max holding her down she still could break the hold. Which is scary because when she is angry it would take a lot of vampires to hold her down she may look small but she is strong like really, really strong probably the strongest vampire ever. I leaned on to Edward chest and felt him go stiff.
"What's wrong Edward?" I said concerned.
"Amelia's having nightmares again but not like the other ones." He said he looked kind of ashamed of himself.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Basically it's a normal day she is sitting next to Max and having a good time then Emmett says something and she doesn't do anything. I get angry and then everything disappears. She's all alone." He said. That says it all. She scared that Edward would get angry and then we'll disappear.
"Edward she's scared." I said.
"Yes she is but she knows that it's a long shot that we'll disappear but the thought won't leave her." He said.
"I want to check it out." I said and I got up.
"How only I could see her dreams." Edward said he tried to pull me down.
"She could use Reneesme's power. So she could show Reneesme and Reneesme can show me." I said.
"I didn't think of that then let's go." He said and he got up.
"Reneesme can you come upstairs with us for a moment?" I asked. She got up and walked to us.
"What's the matter?" She asked.
"Amelia's having a nightmare I want to check it out by her showing you and you showing me." I explained. She nodded and went upstairs we went into Amelia's room. She was sleeping peacefully but there was a tortured look on her face. Reneesme sat beside her and lifted her hand and put it to her face. She gasped and then she gave me her hand. I placed it on my neck and watched. First there was nothing and then I saw it. She was having a good time and then BAM Emmett's says something, Edward gets angry then she is all alone. I dropped Reneesme's hand and looked down. I get why Edward looked ashamed. She's scared like really scared. I placed her hand on my neck again and watched. It was like it was repeating getting scarier and scarier but she wouldn't wake up.
"Come let's go before she wakes up." I said. Reneesme looked at her with a worried expression and then she went downstairs with us.
"Mum I didn't get it what was going on?" Reneesme said.
"I'll tell you in the morning you usually wake up before her you and Jacob need some sleep." I said and then she yawned.
"Okay then Goodnight mum good night dad. See you in the morning." She said and took Jacob with her.
"Goodnight sweetie." I said.
"Edward I think that you should tell her that you are alright with her and Max I mean I know you are but there's something missing and only you can do that." I said. Edward thought for a minute and then said
"Your right but I don't think that would completely assure her. Maybe when Emmett's says something which is bearable I'll react coolly." I thought for a minute that might work but they need more closeness.
"Yeah that could work but they need more closeness so they aren't afraid or awkward from touching each other in front of us it would boost their confidence." I said.
"Yeah that may be the case I guess we are going to have to work a plan." He said. I smirked at him.
"Emmett come here we have got something for you to do." I said in a business like tone. He got up and said
"What's it for me?"
"For your little man to boost confidence in his relationship with our daughter." I said. He thought for a minute and said
"I'm listening what exactly are you thinking of?" I thought for a minute and said
"Basically..."
***Amelia's POV***
I woke up to familiar surroundings ahh... I love it here. I got up from my bed and went into the bathroom. Whilst in there I thought I might as well take a shower. I exited the bathroom and went to my closet I took a pair shorts and leggings and a top. I went back into the bathroom and closed the door and started my shower. I kept my mind blank I didn't want any unwanted thoughts to linger in my head. I came out and towel dried myself. I put on my clothes and then quickly dried my hair until it was completely dry. It was a mess through. I came out of the bathroom and grabbed my hair brush I'm going to listen to wonderwall again I put it on and started to sing-a-long. I sang softly but I'm sure everyone could hear me.

After the song was finished I decided to put it on again. I turned towards my door and Max was standing there. He was leaning on the door wow he looks good. And hot can't forget that.
"I'm sure I heard an angel singing." He said and he crossed the room and stood next to me. I was still brushing my hair. He took the brush out of my hand and started to brush it himself.
"An angel? I was singing I didn't hear an angel you should've told me!" I said I had a confused expression on my face. I didn't hear anyone else. Hmm... Max started to laugh. What did I do now?
"I was talking about you Amelia you sing like an angel." He said.
"Aww... Max's that is so sweet thank you." I said. I smiled at me. He carried on brushing my hair and then put the brush down. He turned me around so he could take a better look at me.
"Beautiful." He said. I smiled again, he smiled back. I had a temptation to touch his hair again so I did so. I placed my hand on his hair and stroked it.
"You hair is so soft you know and you call mine beautiful." I said and then I pouted.
"Not only your hair is beautiful the whole of you and you look cute went you pout." He said. I laughed a little.
"Come on let's go downstairs." I said. I don't want anyone to come up and ruin this. We didn't link hands we just walked together. I went into the kitchen and sat down. Max went into the family room. Mum was in the kitchen with dad. Mum placed my plate in front of me and they both carefully watched me as I ate. Okay... That's weird I haven't done anything out of the ordinary. At least I that is what I think. Did I dad? I asked/thought. You're fine you haven't done anything dad replied/thought. I finished and put my plate away.
"Why are you two looking at me like that?" I said suspiciously.
"No reason." Mum said. Isn't that Uncle Emmett's line? I looked into dad's mind and there was nothing. Helpful I thought dad smiled. I left the room and went in the family room. I sat next to Max and said
"Are you still doing nothing?"
"Yeah you?" He said.
"Yes but I just ate you should really get a hobby or something." I recommended.
"What do you recommend then?" he asked and leaned forward a bit.
"I don't know what are you good at?" I asked.
"I haven't really tried things so I can't say." He said. Helpful.
"Maybe you should take up an instrument or something or you should draw or listen to music." I said. Come to think of it I think I never drawn anything in my life!
"Okay I'll do just that then." He said he had a cute smile on his face. I smiled back. I leaned back on the sofa and yawned. I didn't have the best night's of sleep last night. I closed my eyes and put of arm over my eyes. The room was silent but I still didn't fall completely to sleep. Probably because of the position. I wasn't sure how long it was but it must've been a while till I opened my eyes again. I looked around and Max was still in the same position just that Mum, dad and Uncle Jasper was in the room as well as Uncle Emmett, Aunt Rose well everyone apart from Grandpa and Aunt Alice. Then Aunt Alice waltzed in. She gave me a look and then smiled.
"I'm happy to see that you are using you closet properly you look so cute in that outfit!" She said. I smiled at her.
"Thanks I thought that I'll wear something different today." I said.
"Do you want another makeover?" she asked. I looked at her with a horrified expression and said
"No way I don't need one I look just fine." She laughed and then sat next to Uncle Jasper. Time passed fleetingly. I decided to go hunting at 2 I went with Max, mum and dad. We left the house.
"Can we go over the river?" I asked eagerly.
"Yeah might as well." Dad said.
"Yay!" I said.
"You like jumping over it don't you?" Max asked.
"Love it you?" I asked.
"Me too it's like you're flying." he said.
"I know right the wind in your face and everything!" I said eagerly. Mum and dad started to laugh.
"What happened what did we do?" I asked curiously.
"When you were having you conversation you two were like two cute four year olds!" Mum said.
"Well we are four- in a way." I said.
"I know but it was cute." Mum said. They stopped laughing then Max said
"Can I go first?"
"Then me!" I said.
"Yeah sure." Dad said he seemed in a good mood like a really good mood like a really, really, really good mood I'm going to stop now. Ma took a few paces back and then ran forward then leaped I watched a he gracefully flew over the river I sighed very quietly. When he made a touch down I took a few paces back like he did then ran forward then leaped. The wind ripped through my hair this is so much fun! I went over Max's head. Okay I need to concentrate on my landing I don't want to break a tree again. I landed on the ground with a quiet thud. I ran back to Max and whoever was there. I was just about to run into the river but something caught me. I looked at the ground aren't I supposed to fall? I thought for a minute then looked to me side. Max was holding me ohh... I get it he caught me. I jumped out of his embrace before something happens.
"Thanks for that I am a bit too fast." I said.
"Yeah you are you are not even a blur you are lucky I caught you but you probably be on the other side." He said with a smile.
"How did you catch me then?" I asked.
"Your dad told me to keep my arms out." He said. I turned around and saw my dad and mum I gave them a cheesy smile. They smiled back.
"Come on let's go." I said awkwardly and walked into the forest. I would blame my awkwardness on uncle Jasper. But he's not here. I looked to my left and Max was standing next to me. I turned to him and said
"Do you want a competition?" He gave me a look and said
"About what?"
"Who could catch the biggest animal." I said eagerly I hope he says yes! It would be so much fun!
"I bet you'll win that." he said.
"What makes you think that? I have hunted like only three or four times you have much more experience!" I said. He shook his head.
"I still think you'll win." He said.
"You know what in your free time you should practice not doubting yourself!" I said. He started to laugh.
"I do not doubt myself!" He said.
"Yes you do! I bet that's why you are not having the competition with me you are scared you'll lose to a girl!" I said.
"I won't lose to a girl!" he said.
"Oh yeah? Then have this competition with me!" I said.
"No way!" he said.
"If you don't have it I'll make you!" I threatened. Okay I know I am probably being mean but it'll be really fun!
"That's mean!" He said.
"It's not mean if you play you could prove that you are a better hunter than me!" I said.
"No!" He said.
"Fine then you're scared you'll lose! I get it!" I said.
"Fine I will and I will beat you!" he said. Yes he's playing! My plan worked! That's evil you know. I heard my dad say/think. I ignored it.
"Deal?" I said.
"Deal!" He said and we shook hands after we did so it clicked in his brain.
"You played me!" he accused. Oh man he caught me.
"You caught me but you are still playing you shook my hand." I said.
"That's evil!" he said.
"You're not the only one who thinks that." I said.
"Huh?" he said.
"My dad said it was evil too but I didn't listen." I said matter-of-factly. He pouted and again it looked cute.
"You don't fight fair!" he said.
"Never said I did." I said.
"You are going to have to get using to that Max." Mum said. I looked at her like huh? And so did Max.
"Huh?" we said in unison.
"Well you are soul mates aren't you not?" she said. Oh yeah forgot about that. No you didn't Amelia my dad said/thought. Dad you are not helping! He smiled.
"Okay let's get along with the competition!" I said.
"You played me I don't want to play anyway!" he said and pouted man he pouts a lot.
"I'll make you! And you should my hand!" I said.
"Fine what are the rules?" he said wearily.
"Who can find the biggest animal and you have to drain it and bring the corpse back here when you are done." I said.
"Okay then." He said he didn't look happy.
"Okay 1... 2...3... go!" I said. We went into separate directions. I closed my eyes are searched for a scent. When I found one I ran after it 2 seconds later I was by it. Wow it's massive I'll win for sure! I wrestled it and then drained it. When it was drained I held it in my arms and ran to the spot. Mum and dad were there. Max came a few minutes after. he had a big prey as well.
"Okay mum, dad which one is bigger?" I said. They exchanged glances and took the animals off us.
"Max's one is heavier but your one is bigger." Dad said. Yes! I win!
"See I told you that you'll win!" Max said.
"So your's is heavier so you kind of won as well!" I said.
"You still one!" he said.
"You won too!" I said.
"Okay, okay break it up! You both one I swear you two act like four year olds!" dad said he sounded annoyed.
"That's because we are dad!" I said innocently.
"But still anyway we two are going to hunt you two stay here and no arguing." Dad said. We obediently nodded. Mum and dad went off. Me and max weren't talking well we were but we weren't if you know what I mean.
"Do we really fight like four year olds?" I said.
"According to your dad." He said.
"Well I do feel kind of four when I am arguing with you." I said.
"You don't look four." He said.
"Neither do you and it isn't exactly arguing we are more like debating and sorry I played you." I said.
"It's alright it was fun." He said.
"Yeah it was it doesn't matter who won it's about having fun!" I said.
"You are still evil." He said.
"I know." I said. I started to play with my hair. I looked at my clothes there were blood free.
"I like your outfit." He said. I looked at him and smiled.
"Thanks I like your's you look cool." I said he smiled too. Then mum and dad came back I'm happy they didn't have a moment to ruin.
"Come on let's go." Dad said, we nodded and went to the edge of the river side. I jumped over first and gently landed on the roof. I sat there and waited as the others jumped across. I looked down and max was looking up at me.
"You can come down Amelia." He said.
"Okay." I said and I jumped down. I was standing next to him.
"Let's go inside." I said and we walked inside. We sat down together in the family room. I looked at the time and it was 6 wow we were out for long.
"How was your hunting trip?" Aunt Rose asked.
"It was good mum." Max said.
"Yeah it was good." I said. Then mum and dad came into the room.
"They fight like little four year olds." Dad said.
"We are four year olds that why and we weren't really fighting." I said.
"You two were fighting?" Aunt Rose asked.
"We weren't really fighting we were more like debating." I said. Aunt Rose gave me a look and then said
"What were you debating about then?" I was just about to reply but Max interrupted me.
"We were debating first about well basically a competition amelia wanted to do I said no and she tricked me into saying yes. She is evil she even admits that. Then we were debating over that she tricked me. We did the competition she won I kind of won. Then we were debating over who won. And that was pretty much it." he said wow we do sound like four year olds fighting.
"That's okay I guess Alice isn't the only evil one." she said then smiled I smiled too.
"I am not evil! And are you two still on good terms?" Aunt Alice said. I looked at Max and he looked at me. We both smiled and nodded.
"Pretty much yeah." I said. She puckered her eyebrow. What does she want us to be in some massive fight? I wasn't even angry at Max! I looked around the room and uncle emmett was nowhere in sight. Hmm... I wonder where he is. Then he came in the room and examined Max and me. We weren't touching or anything. He gave us a frustrated look and said
"I am sick of it! I truly am!" What did I miss?
"What happened uncle Emmett?" I asked.
"You two have had no closeness what so ever!" he said. I looked at him confused.
"What do you mean?" I asked confused.
"You two are soul mates and you don't even touch each other!" he said. Oh so that's was he's getting at.
"By that do you mean you want me to probably sit on Max's lap and lean into his chest?" I said awkwardly. Then all the awkwardness went. That's weird. Max didn't even look disturbed by it.
"That's exactly what I mean so chop chop we don't have all day well maybe we do just hurry up!" he said. I looked at him like what the hell?!let me get this straight he wants me to hurry up and sit on his son's lap? I looked at my dad which now had become a reflex. He seemed fine with what he said. Okay... That's weird. Dad! I said/thought. Yes Amelia? Because said/thought. Okay now I'm just confused what is going on?. He told you to go and sit in Max's lap. You shouldn't keep emmett waiting and you should always listen to your elders he said/thought. I looked at him in disbelief for a second. Then I had some longingness to do what I am told. Okay now I'm like really freaked out what is going on? Then the longingness became a real urge. I looked around and everyone was looking at me. I turned to Max and said
"Max do you mind?" he looked at me, smiled and then said
"Not at all." I got up and sat on his lap.
"Now lean into his chest." Uncle Emmett ordered. I did so. Wow Max is really cuddly! For some reason I wondered why I didn't get angry and shut Uncle Em's mouth. Then it clicked. Uncle Jazz.
"Now Max put your right arm around her waist and Amelia hold his left hand." Uncle Emmett commanded. We did so. Ur was like he took my power away from me. I snuggled deeper into his chest and let my head rest on the crook of his neck. In virtually no time at all I was sound asleep.
***Max's POV***
Amelia rested in my chest and was soon sound asleep she's so cute when she's asleep. She didn't more or anything she just slept peacefully. Her breathing was steady and so was her heart beat.
"Hey uncle Edward she's asleep shall I take her upstairs or should I give her to you?" I whispered I didn't want to wake her up.
"Take her upstairs and put her in her bed." he replied. I nodded and held her in a bridal style so she wouldn't fall and left the room. Wow she is as light as anything! I was halfway up the stairs when she mumbled something I wasn't sure what it was till she said it again.
"Max..." she said. I blushed. Aww she's dreaming about me. I walked up the stairs and went into her room. I lay her carefully on the centre of the bed making sure that she does come out of my embrace. I carefully let go of her and was about to go. But something kept me in place. I looked down and Amelia was holding my t-shirt. I tried to loosen her hold but she wouldn't budge. I tried to take off my t-shirt but she prevented me. So what should I do now? Urr... Uncle Edward can you come upstairs and get Amelia's grip off my t-shirt. A few minutes later he came in with my dad. I pointed at the t-shirt and said
"I tried to take my t-shirt off but I couldn't." Uncle Edward came forward and tried to loosen it but he failed it didn't even loosen. Then dad had a try and he couldn't do it either.
"Man she really wants you." he said to me I gave him an awkward expression.
"Your going to have to stay with her till she wakes up then unless you want to wake her up now." Uncle Edward said.
"I think we should let her sleep." I said. Uncle Edward gave me a look and then left the room. Dad wiggled his eyebrows and he left the room. I took mine and Amelia's shoes off then I lay next to her. I placed my arm around her waist so we weren't in an awkward position. She snuggled closed into my chest and mumbled
"Max..." again. I smiled at her and then I soon lapsed into slumber.
