In Korean some words have two consonant. One is main consonant and the other is sub consonant which is called 받침 [baat-chim]
The word 강, which means river, is formed with three letters.
ㄱ main consonant
ㅏ vowel
ㅇ baat-chim
In the first lesson, I have taught you how consonant pronunciation changes when it comes to 받침. So we should be able to read all single baat-chims. Now, let's move on to double baat-chim.

1. ㄹandㄱ (닭 [dak] =chicken)
2. ㄹandㅎ (싫다 [sil-dda] =hate)
3. ㄹandㅁ (닮다 [dam-dda] =look alike)
4. ㄱandㅅ (품삯 [poom-sak] =daily salary)
5. ㄹandㅂ (밟다 [bal-dda]=step on)
6. ㄴandㅈ (앉다 [aan-dda] = sit)
7. ㄴandㅎ (많다 [maan-dda] =have many)
8. ㄹandㅌ (핥다 [hal-dda] =lick)
9. ㄹandㅍ (읊다 [eulp-dda] =read)
Mostly in double baat-chim, you only pronounce the baat-chim at the first. But, there are three exceptions which are ㄹㄱ, ㄹㅁ, ㄹㅍ. When these three baat-chims come, then you pronounce the second consonant!
So in consonant, there are some letters which wins against others in pronunciation to pronounce more easily. You will get used to it as you read more words and more words.
