Mingyu was soaked. He had probably walked in the rain. Of course, you did feel pity towards him, but you got to keep a strong image even after what he had done to you. You looked at him from head to toe, and saw the things he was holding.
A bouquet of flowers and the plastic bag you threw.
Why the hell is he holding those things?
"What are you doing here?" You scoffed at him and crossed your arms on your chest.
"Aren't you supposed to be with your girlfriend? Isn't she waiting for you?" You felt yourself tearing up at the mention of girlfriend.
Mingyu finally spoke.
"Y/N.. Please... I can explain everything... Please..." His voice cracked, and you saw tears slowly rolling down his cheeks.
You had the urge to hug him tight and tell him you're sorry. You had the urge to cry in front of him, showing that you couldn't bear leaving him after 4 years together. You had the urge to wipe his tears, and kiss him to show that you forgive him. But no. You want to stay strong. You needed to stay strong. You can't easily forgive him.
"I told you I've heard enough. What's there to explain?"
You were about to slam the door close when Mingyu grabbed your wrist tightly, but making sure he was not hurting you at the same time.
"Y/N... Please... I seriously can explain.." His tone was a bit more forceful.
He sounded sincere. Knowing that he would not let you go until you let him explain, you sighed.
"Okay, two minutes. I give you two minutes to tell me everything I should know."
Mingyu smiled a little, and started.
"The girl just now was Min Raeun-"
"I don't care about her damn name."
"-Well, my parents actually liked her, so they wanted me to marry her. Of course, I told them I didn't want to, since I have my eyes on you, only you. But they insisted that I have to marry her. Ever since they met you, they said that they had a bad feeling about you. They don't like you. They despise you. I don't even know why. I know marriage is a serious thing, so I didn't want to marry her. But once my parents say something, they'll never change their mind, which means I have to marry that Raeun girl. Since I got no say, I thought we should just end our relationship but still be on good terms. I actually planned to tell you everything today, since the marriage was confirmed yesterday and the wedding is on Next Sunday. But when you called me, I knew you were hurt and I didn't want to hurt you more. I thought that I should tell you everything next time, but Raeun called me since I forgot I had to meet her today for some shopping or whatever and didn't turn up on time. I had no chance to explain to you anymore since you left. So I decided to come here personally and tell you everything you should know."
Mingyu rushed, knowing he had a limited amount of time. You started crying by then. You realised you were wrong.
"Mingyu I-"
He cut you off by hugging you.
"I'm sorry for making you cry." He said, hugging you tighter and patting your back.
Why must he be so sweet?
You thought. You regretted acting all bitchy towards him just now.
"It's okay.. It's my fault for misunderstanding."
"No, it's my fault."
Your body were pressed against Mingyu's soaked body and your face was in his wet chest, but didn't care. Both of you stayed like this for a moment.
You pulled off after you were done crying, and said.
"Sorry for wetting your shirt."
"It's fine it's soaked anyway."
His shirt was white, and it was soaked so it was a little see through. You saw his built chest and couldn't believe that you'd been lying on it.
"What are you staring at?" Mingyu smirked.
"O-Oh, nothing." You looked away, blushing.
Shit, I'm caught.
You thought.
"U-Uh do you need new clothes? Or at least a towel?"
"It's fine, it's gonna dry up anyway.
"No, it's not. It's still raining, idiot. Hold on."
You ran into your cupboard to get a spare towel for Mingyu, and came back.
"Can you like bend down or something?"
Mingyu did as he was told and you started drying up his hair with the spare towel.
Then, you ran back into your room again to take Mingyu's clothes that were left in your cupboard. Mingyu had usually visitted you and sleptover with you if no one's at home. Of course he had to do it secretly, your mother doesn't like him. He often lied to his parents that he's sleeping over at Wonwoo's house since his parents knew that Wonwoo is his childhood friend.
You returned and saw him
still drying up his hair.
"Ah, before I forget, here you go." Mingyu handed you the bouquet of flowers. You muttered a thank you.
"And... How about the.. plastic bag...?"
"Well, I thought you might want these things back after what I've said to you earlier..."
"True." You took the plastic bag from him, smiling.
"I'll find a way to fix all these. Oh and. Your phonecase. Why is it different?" You pouted.
"The Raeun girl wanted a matching couple phonecase too, so yesterday she made me went out with her for a while just to get some damn phonecases. She made me paid for it. It was expensive, and ugly. I swear, I wasted my money on some shits. But I know I'll be dead if I ever make her sad. So yeah..." He said. He then took out the cover and threw it at the rubbish bin nearby and replaced it with his old phonecase.
He lifted up his phone and said,
"I changed my phonecase. Shouldn't you also use this phonecase?"
You smiled.
"Arasseo! I'll change it later."
You gave him his clothes and said,
"Okay, now change in the bathroom."
You turned around to make sure your mother's not there, or else you'd been dead. Thankfully, the toilet's not too far away from the door. You were quite surprised that you weren't caught.
You pushed Mingyu into the bathroom, and closed the door shut. You turned around and saa your mum standing in front of you, arms crossed and her feet tapping onto the floor. You almost dropped all the things you were holding. You muttered a curse under your breathe.
"Hmm... I see you brought Mingyu with you..." She started off, and walked closer to you.
"I-I..."
Mum's face instantly changed and she hugged you,
"Sorry, dear. I was the wrong one. I shouldn't have judged him too quickly."
"Mum.. Uh.. You're not mad?"
"Why should I?"
"I mean I kinda brought him into our house.. yeah..."
"Oh. Why didn't you ask me for permission first, Ms Y/N?"
"Uh.. I'm sorry? Hehe?"
"Whatever, it's fine. Let my soon to be son-in-law visit us often okay?"
The moment she said that, Mingyu opened the door of the bathroom.
"Y/N where-" He said.
Your eyes widened.
"Mum? Really?"
Your mum smiled at you. Mingyu was still clueless.
"I heard the whole conversation, dear. I heard it all."
"Oh my gosh mum seriously? Oh my gosh I love you so much!" You hugged her tightly.
You pulled away from the hug and turned to Mingyu.
"MINGYU? DIDN'T YOU HEAR THAT?!" You squealed, shaking Mingyu.
"Woah what?"
"MUM JUST CALLED YOU HER 'SOON TO BE SON-IN-LAW'! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?!?!" You were freaking out.
"O-Oh? Really?" Mingyu was surprised.
Your mum nodded.
"Thank you, Aunty." He bowed politely to your Mum.
"No, don't call me Aunty. Mum will do."
"But we haven't get approval from my parents."
"I'll make sure they approve my daughter. Don't you worry."
You squealed and hugged Mingyu.
That was when his phone rang. He looked at the dialer, and ended the call.
"I don't wanna waste my time on her." He smiled.

ODKSMJFKDJDJSJS I'M SO SO SO SORRY FOR PROCRASTINATING. It's just that I have no motivation to write. Anyway, thanks for the 600+ reads omfg I love all of you so much :') It's like a huge achievement for me. The last time I saw it was 200+ reads and when I came back after a looooooooong time the number multiplied :D I'm so happy. Okay anyway, it's already like almost 4am here so byeee :)
