she had always held him on a high pedestal but never once had she imagined him so defenseless. he was at the mercy of the wind, capable of being blown away without a moment's notice.
she spoke softly as she brushed away a tear, "i think that you're beautiful, before and now. do other people's opinions change the way you feel about others?"
"it shouldn't because you're still you and i'm still me and the moon is still in outer space, along with the other stars and planets in the universe. that will never change and neither will you so embrace it," she said, kissed his cheek and smiled.
