Chapter Four: More Monsters?!
Felix, Cry, Sky, and Ken had been at the Safe House for a month now, and Felix felt like all his sanity was gone. He was sitting in a dark room, shaking once again. Every night he would wake up and fell like something was watching him, watching every single breath and move he took.
" I-I can't do this..." Felix started chuckling insanely. He was sick of this game! Felix yanked his head back to look at the dark ceiling. Tears now streaming down his cold cheek, and his laughs silenced to a slight sob.
" Pewdis?" It was Cry, and he just happened to walk in Felix's room. Felix turned his head to Cry, the tears still streaming down his face.
" C-Cry?" He stuttered, fear in his soft face. Cry stared at Felix with shock and worry. He was the only one besides Ken who was stable. Sky had locked herself in her room and now Felix was a step away from insanity. Cry was brought to tears. He did not want Felix to go insane, to feel the pain he once did. Cry walked to Felix slowly, and yanked him into his arms. Felix gasped in Cry's chest, but instantly felt relaxed.
" Please..." Cry spoke slowly so his voice wouldn't crack," Hang in there... I don't want to lose you..." He whispered the last part even softer. It was true. Cry did not want to lose Felix, nor did he want to see Felix in pain. If Cry could, he would of escaped this game with all his friends alive. He had an idea of who brought them here, and he knew what he had to do... But not now, later on in the game.
Cry felt Felix relax in his arms and sighed silently in relief. He rubbed Felix's back smoothly to show that he was there for him. Felix was relieved to feel Cry's touch, but he wasn't sure if he was spouse to feel that way to a friend. Confusion was now over Felix, but he couldn't stop his eyes from closing.
Cry blinked, noticing the snoozes coming from his chest. Felix had fell asleep in Cry's arms. Chuckling lightly, Cry tried to place Felix on his bed, but couldn't. Felix was holding onto Cry tightly like a teddy bear. Cry sighed and crawled on the bed. If he couldn't get Felix off, why not sleep with him? Cry starred down at Felix through his poker mask. There was a reason he never showed his face, and he hopes he'd never have to show it to anyone.
In the morning, Felix woke up to the same warmth he fell asleep on last night. Realizing he was cuddled up to Cry's chest, Felix gasped and stumbled away, falling in the floor. Cry groaned and turned in his sleep. He had stayed up all night watching over Felix, so it was his time to sleep. Felix crawled back on the bed, staring at Cry with rosy checks. He felt like a blushing teenage school girl. His heart fluttered nervously. They didn't do anything, at least Felix thinks. Felix stared at Cry's mask. It was slightly moved just so he could see Cry's plump lips. Felix's heart jumped at the thought of just kissing him right then and there, but he couldn't bring hisself to do so. Felix had this strange feeling of just touching Cry's hair. He reached out and rubbed Cry's, surprisingly, soft hair. Felix chuckled and ruffled around his hair before comparing his to Cry's.
" Pewds?" Cry laughed, feeling Felix's hands in his hair. Felix yanked his hand away. His checks was stained a brighter red.
" S-sorry..." Felix muttered, standing up and sprinting off into the living room. Cry laughed and removed his self from the warm bed to chase after Felix.
When he entered the living room he saw Felix standing in the middle of the room. Felix was staring at the wall in shock. Cry followed his gaze and saw nothing.
" C-Cry..." Felix whimpered, stumbling back. Cry caught Felix in his arms and stared at the wall Felix was staring at. Nothing was in sight for Cry.
" WATCH OUT!!" Sky screamed, jumping out of no where with a pistol in hand and shooting at the wall. Felix was trembling harshly in Cry's arms. Cry tilted his head in confusion as black blood dripped onto the floor, but yet nothing was there. Sky stood in front of Felix and Cry, a pistol in hand. " You... See it Pewds don't you?" Sky asked, glancing back at Felix. Felix nodded and clenched closer to Cry. He thought he was safe?! Safe from the monsters?! Felix started crying again. He was... Scared. Sky nodded and focused at the wall that was covered in black blood. She kept pointing at one spot. A determine look on her face. She was thinking hard about things.
" Shadow... Beasts... Goddamn," Sky whispered to herself. She was about to announce something, but when she was brutally shoved back. Sky's body flew pasted Cry and Felix, her back smashing through the wall.
" You.. Little shit!" Sky groaned in pain and stood up, gripping the gun in her hand. She ran towards the shadow Felix and her could only see. She dunked under its claw that came at her and pointed the gun right at its face. With one last glare, Sky pulled the trigger. Black blood splattered on her face, covering the scar on her check. Sky let out a harsh breath and looked at a shocked Cry. Sky couldn't see if he was shocked, but she felt like he was.
" W-wow.." He stated. Sky smirked and shoved the gun in her belt after reloading it.
" You wish you could do that?" Sky teased and laughed. Cry nodded and held Felix tighter.
" What's going-" Ken stopped just in the door way to the living room. His eyes was wide in shock at all the black goo everywhere." What the hell?" He asked, a confusion and shock expression on his face. Sky sighed.
" Since we all are here, just listen. We need to move.. This House isn't safe no more...." Sky trailed off, leaving the details out. Ken turned his head to Sky.
" Why?" He asked.
" Well... If you can't tell a monster broke the barrow around the house, and we only have three mouths to live the next six waves..." Sky stopped.. She kinda put to much detail in this one. Cry and Ken stared at Sky in shock.
" How did y-" Sky shushed Ken up with a finger to his lips.
" I.... Heard about this game," Sky lied. Even though Cry and Ken didn't believe in Sky's lies, they played along.
" Alright," Cry muttered," where to?" Sky shrugs and walked to a large cabinet. She swings it open to reveal all kinds of guns. Felix at this time had stopped crying, and was looking at the cabinet of guns.
" Get as many as you can, we need as much protection as we need," Sky felt like a leader when she stated this, but she hid her pride. Before the others could grab anything, Sky stopped them.
" Don't... Touch this one.." She trailed off as she turned around and took a black seethed sword. Wrapping it over her shoulders with a black wrap, Sky signaled them to continue to pick out the guns.
In the end, Felix picked a shotgun to go on his waist and two pistols in hand. Cry had a knife in his shoe, machine gun In hand, and a pistol on his chest with a strap holding it there. Ken had a different shotgun in hand, knifes on belt, and explosives. Sky just had her sword over her shoulder and the pistol she had on her belt. With out questioning, the whole group headed out the door. It was plain bright out side, so Sky knew it was going to be awhile before they was threatened by anything. Just in case, she had grabbed three flashlights, which she handed the other two to Cry and Ken. She knew Felix would be to shaky to hold one straight, but to make him feel not left out she had given him a flare gun. It would create some what of a red light, she thought.
Moving through the dead silent woods, the sun had began to lower over the horizon, or so Sky thought since they couldn't see the sky with the trees in the way. Sky grabbed out her flashlight and grunted. She knew they was almost close to the next safe house, but she also knew they wasn't close enough. The wave has already begun. Once the sun and light disappeared, hissing surrounded them from different places. Cry and Ken was the most confused. They could hear the noise, but not see the red beaming eyes that Sky and Felix saw. Sky grunted.
" Get ready! They're coming from the front and back!" She yelled with concern. Sky didn't think the whole pack would be here. Luckily, she thought with relief, the alpha wasn't here. Felix shuttered, but pulled and pointed his pistols with no regret. Cry let out a shaky breath and got ready to attack. Ken had already turned to the back and held out his shotgun. Sky just stood there, shooting already. One after another disappeared, but something was wrong. Once everyone was already shooting, and trying to find their aim in the darkness, more started to appear. That when Sky realized."Don't shot its face!!" She yelled," Your spouse to shot its neck like this!" She jumped over the beast arm and aimed right at the neck and shot. Black blood going all over her face once again. Felix shivered, but was kind of use of being scared by now. Sky ripped the blood off her face and gridded her teeth harshly together.
" Get ready..." Sky ordered," There's more..." This time Cry awnd Ken could see the shadows. Cry panicked. It was his first time seeing a monster. With out a warning, Cry shot at the monsters. Ken grunted at every loud noise the gun made, but focused on killing it. Sky growled darkly. The Shadow Beasts was now surrounding them, slowly getting closer and closer. Cry and Felix was back to back and Sky and Ken was back to back. Sky was the one that was most angered. Felix was brought to tears. He knew they was going to die. He just knew it. Cry pushed his back firmly on Felix's to show he was there. Felix kept trying to kill them, but the more he shot the more monster he saw. The same thing happened with Cry and Ken, the more they shot the more monsters they saw. Sky growled once again. She did not want to use her sword. Her hand was placed on her sword firmly. She..... Has to save them...right?
