It was about 1am, when Lauren and I had got back to my car, after our magical encounter with the boys.
Once we got in, and I started to drive, she brought up the Derek situation.
"Hey, can I just crash at your place?" She asked. "Derek is probably asleep, or won't open the door just to be an ass."
I chuckled. "Sure. Tasha went clubbing after we left, so she probably won't come home until the morning. You can sleep in her bed."
Lauren widened her eyes. "Why not until morning?"
"She'll normally go home and crash with one of her party friends, or she'll hook up with someone and they'll bring her home in the morning."
She nodded. "Works for me."
Once we reached my flat, she shook her shoes off, and plopped on the couch.
"I'll let you borrow some sleep stuff." I said, scurrying into my room, and rummaging through my drawers. I pulled out a big T-shirt I had caught from the stands at a baseball game (and those are never the right sizes), and some Nike shorts I used to do my runs.
Walking out of my room, I tossed them at Lauren, who was almost asleep on the couch after just a few minutes.
"Huh? What?" She inhaled, jolting her body upwards when the clothes attacked her face.
"Tired already? I was gonna say we'd watch a movie, or maybe talk about the fact that we've almost got One Direction boyfriends."
That thought woke her up.
"I like that I idea!" She said, grinning ear to ear. "Just give me a sec,"
She hurried to the bathroom and changed her clothes. While she was, I went in my room and did the same.
A One Direction t-shirt (oh, how coincidental), and some soft soffe shorts that were good for just lounging.
I threw my long hair up into a loose and messy bun on top of my head, and I walked out into the living room.
Lauren was already waiting for me on the couch, her hair still down, so I offered her a hair tie. She politely declined, because her hair was so short it never stayed anyway.
I walked into the kitchen, and eyed my fridge, because I knew what it held.
Two pints of Double Fudge Moose Tracks.
Double Fudge Moose Tracks is Lauren and I's favorite ice cream. I had gotten these in advance, because it being my birthday, I was going to invite Lauren over tonight anyway. Because Saturday is Tasha's clubbing night, so I know she wouldn't be here.
I grabbed two of the bigger spoons, and headed back out to the sofa. Tossing Lauren her pint of ice cream, her face lit up.
"Yay!" She squealed. "Jeez, you'd think it was MY birthday! One Direction, Moose Tracks, what's next? A Teen Wolf marathon with just shirtless scenes?"
I laughed out loud. "You're so predictable. But actually no. I got Catching Fire at redbox, figured we could watch it?"
She sprung up. "Yes! Uhh, happy birthday to YOU baby girl."
I laughed and put the movie on, sitting down on the sofa next to her and starting in on my ice cream.
"So," She started. "NIALL FREAKING HORAN?!"
I jumped. "HARRY FREAKING STYLES!?"
"WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT THIS IS HAPPENING. TO US."
"I have no clue," I said. "But I'm excited for Niall and I. I don't like him for him being famous, I like him for who he is. And for how good of a kisser he is." I laughed and joked at the last part.
"You looked really into it." she laughed. "And Louis! Louis was hilarious."
"I have a really good feeling about this," I said smiling.
I really really did have a good feeling about it.

About an hour later, Lauren was passed out on the couch, and I didn't bother to wake her. I left her on the couch, and carried off to my bedroom where I left my phone for the past hour and a half, and I crawled into bed with it.
I settled in, and I noticed two next texts: from Niall.
- "I'm taking you to dinner tomorrow, whether you like it or not :) Somewhere nice. Hey Lace? You're special. Honestly, I don't know what it was about you. But I just... You're amazing. Stunning; just beautiful inside and out. ~ Dress nice tomorrow, it's a fancy place. I'll pick you up at 7."
- "By the way, I meant what I said earlier. I love you, Lace."
