Several years later the surviving humans had rebuilt much of what had been destroyed, and life went on as normal. Kewa, Neila, and Sorcha had returned to their home world, while Zorra, Will, and Guoh stayed and settled down in Des Plaines.
Starken and the SWAT team went back to doing missions, along with the occasional visit to the UNSC base.
Qin and Cam started dating, and Qin received the Medal of Honor from President Freeman.
Ylant became the new commander of the ESN, and decided to form an alliance with the newly promoted Fleet Admiral Peri and the UNSC. They now work together, finding other civilizations in the universe.
Faraday and his fire team went on and took part in the invasion of North Korea, who had restarted the Korean War. It was over in a matter of weeks, with North Korea being driven back again.
Finally, unbeknownst to either the Ecarians or the Humans, a force was brewing that will challenge the survival of both species, but that's a story for another day.
