Carly =You
-----------------------------------------------------------
You skipped down the stairs of the Lynch's house and made your way into the kitchen. You grinned when you saw one delicious chocolate cupcake sitting on the table, all by itself. The last one. Just before you wrapped your fingers around it, another hand reached around you and snatched it off of the table. You whirled around, angrily. Ross was standing behind you, already taking a bite out of the cupcake. "Maybe I wanted that." You snapped. He just shrugged. "Too bad." He returned bitterly. He turned around and left the room, still munching on what should have been YOUR cupcake. You groaned and sat down at the table, burying your face in your hands. You were an old family friend of the Lynch's. A few years ago you had moved out to Los Angeles to live with them. Shortly after moving in with them, you and Ross had begun to date. You had been together for nearly three years now. As with any relationship, you and Ross had had your fair share of fights. Especially since you lived in the same house. But this past week had been one of your worst fights yet. You weren't even sure how it had started. It was probably over something stupid. But whatever had been the cause, it had escalated quickly. The two of you had been snapping and screaming at each other for the past five days. His family was getting tired of it. You felt awful for fighting in front of them, especially after they had let you into their home so generously all those years ago. But you were just as stubborn as Ross was; if he wasn't going to be the first to apologize, then you certainly wouldn't be either. "Hey Carly." A male voice said quietly. You glanced up and saw Mark walk into the room. He sat down at the kitchen table next to you. You half-smiled at the man who had become a second father to you. "Hey Mark." You whispered. You sat in silence for a few minutes. "I'm really sorry about all the fighting this week." You apologized. He shook his head. "It's ok, trust me. When Stormie and I were younger, we had our fair share of fights as well. It happens, especially in long-term relationships. But you do realize we leave for tour in two days, right?" he asked. You nodded silently. That was something many of the Lynch's had brought up this past week to try to get you and Ross to reconcile; he was leaving for tour at the end of the week, you wouldn't see him for three months, you should try to work this out before then, blah blah blah. "I know, I know." You muttered finally. Mark patted your hand and stood up. "You and Ross are both too stubborn for your own good." He looked you directly in the eyes. "Talk to him. Be the bigger person." He encouraged before exiting the room.
**the next day**
"Hair dryer?" "Check." "Straightener?" "Check." "Makeup? Shower stuff? Toothbrush?" "Check, check, packing it in the morning." Rydel glanced through her suitcase one last time before zipping it up. You had been helping her pack all afternoon. It was around 8:00 p.m.; they would be leaving for their North American tour in exactly 12 hours. You sighed and sat down on her bed. "I know you've been the one packing, but I'm exhausted!" you breathed heavily. She laughed as Rocky came walking through the door. "Hello ladies! Delly I can take your suitcase downstairs if you're ready." He offered. She nodded and gestured to the several other bags lying around her room. "These too." she said, grinning sheepishly at him. He groaned. "Hey Ross, get in here and help me carry the princess's bags!" he called out into the hallway. Rydel giggled and ruffled his hair playfully as she walked out. "Don't you ever forget it." She commented. Rocky picked up two of her bags and followed closely behind her. Ross came walking into the room seconds later. He bent down and picked up two bags, ignoring you completely. "Are you just going to pretend I'm not here?" you asked snippily as Ross turned to leave. He paused for a moment. "That was my plan." He muttered, continuing out the door. You leapt up from Rydel's bed and immediately followed him out into the hallway. "You're such a child!" you yelled, coming up behind him. He continued walking down the stairs, acting as though he couldn't hear you speaking. "Ross!" you called again. He stomped down the last few stairs and stepped into the living room. He threw Rydel's bags down next to the door and turned around. "WHAT?!" he roared. "I said DON'T IGNORE ME!" you shouted back, just as loudly. You both turned and saw the rest of the Lynch family standing in the living room. "Err..hey." you said awkwardly. "Nice job." Ross muttered. You snapped your head back over to look at him. "Shut up Ross!" you barked. You whirled around and stormed away. "Don't you walk away from me!" he yelled, following behind. His family groaned as the two of you continued bickering loudly as you walked down the hallway towards the kitchen. "This is ridiculous." Riker muttered. Stormie nodded. "If they don't make up before we leave in the morning they're going to regret it." Ryland groaned again. "Oh no way...I am not dealing with mopey-whiney-depressed Ross for three months! Someone needs to fix this. NOW." Rocky suddenly reached over and grabbed Riker's arm. "Dude. I have an idea." He said excitedly. "What??" Stormie and Rydel chorused eagerly. Rocky gestured for everyone to come closer. "We have to hurry before Ross and Carly come back..." he began.

You stood in the kitchen at 11 pm, still screaming at Ross. "God, sometimes I wonder what I ever saw in you in the first place!" he roared. You scoffed. "You do?! YOU do?! Sometimes I wonder the same thing Ross! Because most of the time you're a conceited and egotistical jerk!" you shouted back. "I'M egotistical?! Seriously?!" he cried. "Well nice to see you guys are getting along again." Stormie commented sarcastically as she stepped into the room. You sighed and pressed your fingers against your temples; you could already feel a major headache coming on. "Ross I am so tired of this. I can't WAIT for you to leave tomorrow!" Your voice rose with each word you spoke until you were screaming again. He laughed bitterly. "Oh believe me, I'm looking forward to it!" he snapped. He whirled around and left the room. You groaned and sank down into one of the kitchen chairs. You laid your head down on your arms. "I can't do this anymore." You mumbled. Stormie stroked your hair soothingly. "Honey why don't you just apologize? Be the bigger person if he won't." You shook your head, not bothering to lift if off of the table. "Nope." you muttered.
**
About thirty minutes later, Rocky stepped into the kitchen. He nodded to Stormie while you were facing the fridge away from him, signaling that his part of the plan was in place. Stormie turned to face you. "Carly honey, would you mind running up to Ryland's room and brining me his phone? I think it's in his nightstand. I want to see if this protective case he ordered for it fits." She held up the black armored-looking case in her hand. You nodded, shutting the fridge quickly and making your way up the stairs. You noticed Riker standing in his own doorway, directly across the hall from Ryland's. "Whatcha doin?" you asked curiously. He just shook his head. "Rocky was supposed to be bringing me a drink from the kitchen." He replied. You turned and stepped into Ryland and Ross's bedroom. You walked over to Ryland's nightstand and began rummaging through it, searching for his phone. "Hey Riker, let me get dressed and I'll help you finished packing." Ross's voice echoed down the hall. You jumped and turned around as he walked into the room. He stepped a few yards in and stopped once he saw you. "What are you doing in here??" he asked angrily. *click* You both turned to face the door, which was now shut. Ross quickly made his way over to the door and began jiggling the knob. "How is it locked??" he demanded. He studied the knob for a few moments before pounding angrily on the door. "They reversed it! The lock is on the outside now. How'd they do that??!" he cried. He continued pounding loudly on the door. "Guys this isn't funny!" he cried again. You groaned and sat down on Ryland's bed. "You aren't getting out of this room until you and Carly make up!" a female voice called back through the door. Your jaw dropped. "Stormie??" you asked, as you made your way over to the door. "Was this your idea??" you demanded. "No actually it was Rocky's. But it was brilliant so I decided to give it a try. Mark switched the knob around so we can control the lock on this side. You aren't leaving this room until you and Ross work this out. I took out every electronic device in the room so you have no choice but to talk. Unless you want to sit and face a bare wall for the next nine hours, I suggest you start talking." She replied. You groaned again and stubbornly crossed your arms. You turned around and faced the wall. You refused to be the first one to speak.
**
Two hours later you still sat on Ryland's bed facing the wall. Neither you or Ross had spoken a word to each other since his family had locked the both of you in the room. You heard a light knocking on the door. "Guys it's me. Work everything out yet?" Stormie's voice echoed through the door. You both sat in silence, refusing to speak. You heard her sigh."Guys I don't know what started this fight. But just think about this: this is the last time you guys will be together for three months. Do you really want to spend your last few hours together fighting? You've already wasted the entire week. Ross, it's the last time you'll get to hold her in your arms. Carly, it's the last time you'll get to snuggle into his chest and tell him how much you love him. For THREE MONTHS. Maybe you should think about that instead of whatever started this stupid fight." You heard her walk back down the hallway. You still sat stubbornly facing the wall. You felt a few tears escape and roll down your cheeks. She was right. You wouldn't see Ross, in person, again for a while. You couldn't believe you had wasted your last week together, fighting about something that you couldn't even remember. A few more tears rolled down your face as you let out an involuntary sob aloud. Seconds later you felt Ross's strong arms wrap around you from behind. "Carly I'm so sorry." He mumbled into your hair. You felt something wet hit your bare shoulder. Was Ross crying too? You turned around to face him. You could barely see his face through your tear-filled eyes. "I'm sorry too." you choked out, standing up and burying your face in his chest. He wrapped his arms more tightly around you. You stood crying silently in his arms for several minutes. Once you'd reached the point where you couldn't cry anymore, you stepped back and wiped your swollen eyes. You looked up at Ross, finally able to see clearly. His eyes were red-rimmed as well. "I can't believe we wasted this entire week. What were we even mad about?" he asked, wiping his own eyes. You laughed wryly as you reached up and wiped a tear off of his cheek tenderly. "I don't even remember. But taking my cupcake yesterday crossed the line." You joked. Ross laughed. You both jumped when you heard a loud knock on the bedroom door. "Everything ok now?" Rocky's voice came through the door. You smiled as you wrapped your arms around Ross's waist and laid your head on his chest. "We're good." You replied, stretching up to peck his cheek. Rocky was silent for a few moments. "Rocky?" Ross asked. You heard him laugh nervously from the other side of the door. "Yeah...there's a slight problem. Dad lost the key." He said. Ross smirked. "Well I guess we could find something to do in here until morning..." he said suggestively. "OH MY GOD SOMEONE FIND THE KEY." Rocky bellowed. You heard footsteps run down the hallway towards the staircase. "NOT ON MY BED!" Ryland yelled. You heard him bang loudly on the door. You laughed and looked back up at Ross. "You're awful." You said, still giggling. He shrugged. "They'll find the key now, won't they?" he asked. He leaned down and tenderly kissed your lips. "I love you." He whispered. You nuzzled back into his chest. "I love you too."
