Chapter 25

Zayn's  POV
"Blair baby Declan and I are going to the grocery store"
Okay I mumbled and he kissed my forehead.
"Do you need anything that's not on the list"
"Not that I know of"He left and I listened to Maria vacuum.I flicked through my social media finally being to bored to do anything.I grabbed the lavender scented bath bomb I made and started the hot water.I watched the tub fill as I locked the door and closed the shade.I lit a candle and dimmed the lights.I slipped in the tub sighing as I dropped the bomb in and tied my hair up in a messy bun.

I walked downstairs to see Zayn and Declan asleep.They looked so cute and peaceful.Declan stirred and started to cry and Zayn's hand rubbed circles on his back making Declan go silent again.I walked in the kitchen to see Zayn had made Declan lunch and I seen they had chicken nuggets and fries.I smiled and cleaned up eating a few of the fries while I looked for something to make for dinner.I was going to make baked chicken breasts with grilled corn and penne pasta.My stomach growled and I grabbed some romaine lettuce along with some spinach and some feta cheese and the ranch that Avery made the other day.I assembled my tortinlli salad with feta cheese.I sat down with a fork and polished the dish before I went to the market to buy corn.I left a note for Zayn and grabbed my purse and keys.

Mama I help Declan giggled his pacifier in his mouth after he finished talking.
"You wanna help mummy cook"He nodded and I smiled shutting the oven door.
"Um let's see can you help mummy measure this water you fill the pot halfway and tell mummy when your done"I showed him where half way was and he stood on the kitchen chair watching the water fill.I finished cleaning the corn and got the grill out for the stove top.
"Mama all done"I lifted the pot an placed in on the stove turning the burner on for the pasta water and also for the corn.I sprayed the grill pan with cooking spray and put four ears of corn on the grill.
"Mama what next"
"You can go find Daddy for me"He giggled and ran off as I smiled.I checked the chicken and my stomach twisted.I bolted for the bathroom and cheated sticking my finger down my throat wanting to get it done with.I emptied my stomach and checked the corn turning it.
"Mama I found Daddy"
"Good job baby"He smiled cutely showing off his baby teeth.
"Maybe daddy will help you set the table"He tugged Zayn who followed him to the cupboard grabbing three of the grey dishes.Declan grabbed his plate and a clean sippy cup.Zayn grabbed our silverware and glasses just as I tested the pasta.Zayn got Declan's sippy cup ready and he filled two glasses and ice water for us.
"Mama I hungry"
"I know baby boy it's almost ready"I strained the noodles and added the to a big bowl and tossed them with some melted butter and fresh parmesan.I pulled the chicken out and the corn was on a plate as Zayn helped me carry the food to the table.I gave Declan some cut up chicken along with some pasta and a spoonful of corn of the cob.He ate in silence dipping his chicken in ranch.I got Zayn seconds and some more pasta for myself.
"Did you have a nice nap with daddy baby boy"
"Daddy was sleepy mama"
"Yeah did grocery shopping tire him out"Declan giggled and nodded eating another bite of his dinner.My legs were perched on Zayn's lap as he ran his hand up and down my calf.I bit my lip and batted my lashes at him.He chuckled and looked over to Declan who was eating with his fingers now fork forgotten.
"Daddy"
"What is it Dec"
"Can we get puppy"
"Maybe one day"
"Tomorrow"
"No probably not tomorrow Dec maybe Santa will bring you one"
Really daddy he giggled excitedly.
"Really but what about being a big brother"
"Santa bring me little brothers"
"Maybe is that another you want"
"Yeah daddy"I looked out at the back yard.There were some snowflakes flying down but we still had Christmas this coming week.
"Are we staying at your Mom's for Christmas
"I thought we would but we can come home doesn't matter to me"
"I don't mind either way"He nodded and I cleaned up from dinner as Zayn bathed Declan and let him watch cartoons.Zayn helped me clean up and I smiled as he squeezed me from behind.
Should probably get you into the doctors soon he whispered and I nodded.
Yeah I'll call tomorrow morning I murmured as I tilted my head back getting a kiss.
I hope we have a girl he whispered and I smiled.
Healthy will do I whispered as his hands slid around my stomach.
"Mhm that too angel"
