Hailey's POV
Well i've been at home for 4 weeks now and so has Anna and let me tell you how it's going. I apologised to my mum but she still didn't believe that i changed and she freaked out on me, literally she shouted at me about how i showed her no respect the past 2 months and how i can't just change back over night, so if she's not going to believe i've changed, then whatever, i tried to convince her but nothing get's through to her, nothing at all! So, i've only changed for other people. Speaking of which, me & Isakai still aren't talking, he's hardly home anyway, me & Anna are closer than ever and me & Jairo are... well i don't know.
The thing about me and Jairo is that, yes i'm still his pretend girlfriend and we've become really close, like literally, we are like best friends now but everytime i get close to him my heart stops, it's the way he moves his hair out of his blue eyes or the way he laughs, it just, i don't even know!
I put my head in my hands, i need to tell someone i can't just keep everything bottled up like this, but there's no one to tell considering everyone thinks we're together anyways and i'm definitaley not telling Jairo, that's just not going to happen.
I walked into my bathroom and looked at the razor blade, can you believe after 2 suicide attempts, my mum stil didn't take the blade out? it's like she's encouraging me!
I picked up the razor blade,
"Hailey, don't even think about it!"
I turned around to find Jairo looking at me with sad eyes,
"This is what keeps me sane Jairo, i have no one else!"
"You have Anna, you have your mum, you have me"
"Anna wouldn't understand, my mum pratically hates me and i can't confide in you about this problem!"
"Because you won't tell me!"
I looked at him with watery eyes "Just tell me" His eyes pleaded me to tell him everything, can i?
He walked over to me and took the razor blade out of my hand "Tell me"
"I can't" I looked down at the floor and he sighed,
"Why not Hailey?"
"Because i just, i can't tell you what it is without something bad happening after"
"But you don't know what's going to happen!"
"I do! Me and you won't be the same, that's what's going to happen!"
He looked at me confused "What?"
"We won't be the same" I put my head in my hands,
"I don't understand you, what could you possibly say to me that will change our friendship?"
"The fact that i'm starting to have feelings for you"
He looked at me with an expression i couldn't really make out "Come again?"
"You see?! We had such a great friendship, something so nice and this is going to ruin it, this is why i didn't open up to anyone before, i don't let people into my life Jairo or my heart, because eventually, it will get broken"
I fell to the floor and he came down with me "If you don't let people in, how are you going to know who's good or bad? You'll never know Aria"
"Aria? Where did you get that from?"
"I like your second name so i shortened it, i mean, i can call you Hailey if you want?"
"No, i like it"
I really did, no one has ever thought of that before, it was so sweet,
"I came over here because for some weird reason Lily still doesn't believe we're together"
I'm so glad he forgot about what i said, i don't think i could handle explaining everything,
"Your joking right? The amount of times we've been with each other, we're literally with eachother every minute of everyday"
Yeah, can you believe how close we've gotten?
"I know, but she's not believeing it, i guess we're going to have to show her" He winked at me,
"Hmmm, i guess so"
"Hailey?"
"mmm?"
"Please stop doing this" He pointed to the scars on my arms "You may not think i can help you, but i can...anytime you have a problem, come to me, we're besties you know that"
Yeah i do, if only it was more than that,
"I know J, i'll come to you next time"
Will you really Hailey?
Of course not, but he doesn't have to know that.
Jairo got up off the floor and stretched his hand out for mine to take "Come on, let's go and show Lily we're real, well were not but you know what i mean"
I laughed quietly "Yeah, okay then" I took his hand and he pulled me off the floor but his hand never left mine which i was so happy about.
Jairo's POV
I can't believe she actually has feelings for me! I mean, i couldn't tell her that i don't feel the same way because that would make things worse. I'm not saying that i don't feel a connection between us but for me, it's nothing more than friends, best friends who are pretending to go out, nothing more.
Maybe in a few months, it might change but for now, i like things the way they are.
"So, you ready to act like never before?"
"Bring it"
I laughed and took the keys out my pocket. I unlocked the door to find Lily sitting on the steps, it's worse than i thought...she's stalking me!!
"Well well well, if it isn't the fake couple of the month"
Me and Hailey looked at eachother like 'what the fuck?'
"Look, slut, you wanted us to prove we're together so what do we have to do, i have a life you know so can you hurry this up?"
I laughed but as soon as Lily glared at me i stopped "I don't believe it, i've only seen you hold hands and hug, not once have i seen you kiss" She smirked,
Oh shit! i started to panic but Hailey looked calm and shocked me with her next move... She grabbed me by the collar and kissed me, proper kissed me. At first i stood there shocked but then after 5 seconds i grabbed her waist and pulled her closer. She put her arms around my neck and i thought, i might aswell give Lily a show...I bit her bottom lip for entrance and luckily, i was granted it, she seemed like she was enjoying it too because she didn't come up for air once, not like i wanted to but i need my oxygen. I pulled away and she pouted, i leaned in and whispered in her ear,
"Don't get too carried away Aria, Lily is still standing there" I pulled back and winked at her and she smiled,
"So, slut, do you believe us now?"
Lily was standing there with her mouth open, how long was she like that?
"Uhhhh, ummm, yeah, uh i, sure"
She turned around and walked upstairs without saying another word,
"Bitch, she pisses me off so bad!"
"Don't worry, at least she finally believes us now"
"Yeah, finally...come on J, let's go get arrested"
"What?" I looked at her confused,
"Well, i want to go for a walk and i'm bound to get arrested anyway" She laughed,
"So true, or we could just stay here and watch TV" I asked her hopefully,
"Yeah that sounds good too"
I took her hand and lead her into the living room where we sat and watched MTV, we just sang to every song that came on.
After about 2 hours of watching TV Hailey rushed up and faced me,
"I can't do this anymore Jairo! I can't!"
She was about to run out when i grabbed her arm "What are you talking about?" I was really confused right now,
"I say i have feelings for you then you don't reply and we carry on like normal, now your giving me mixed signals! Make up your mind Jairo and make it fast!"
She pulled her hand out of my grasp and ran out of my house, i've messed up this time!
I put my head in my hands and groaned...How am i going to get out of this one if i don't like her back?
Back to Hailey's POV
I ran out of Jairo's house and i was hoping he'd run after me and tell me he liked me to but he didn't and i started to cry even more.
I ran to my house and luckily the door was open so i didn't have to kick it down again,
"Hailey?"
I ran past my mum,
"Hailey what's wrong?"
I ran past my sister aswell, i went straight to my room and locked it then i went straight to my bathroom and locked that aswell. I'm sorry Jairo but i really need to do this right now,
Third time lucky Hailey, both doors are locked, it's the perfect time,
No! I need to relieve my stress not try and kill myself again...I picked up the razor blade and stared at it for quite a long time.
I really think i have a problem with this, i need to see someone about it, i can't continue doing this,
I walked out of my room and went to find mum,
"Mum?"
"Hailey, i don't know where your keys are, i swear" See, i told you she doesn't believe me!
"Mum please, just listen to me!"
She turned to look at me and immediatley ran over to me when she saw i was crying,
"Hailey, what's wrong sweetheart?"
"Mum, i, i have, i have a problem and, i, i really need help!"
"What's the problem?"
I didn't trust myself with my words so i showed her my arms instead and she gasped,
"Hailey, why?"
"Things changed mum, this is what i had to turn to!"
She moved away from me and i saw her scrolling down her phone, she wrote down something and came back over to me,
"Call this number, i have a feeling that he'll help you"
I took the number from her hands and i hugged her "Thank you mum and i'm sorry again, honestly"
I left the living room and took out my phone to call the number,
"Hello?"
"Yeah, i'm Hailey Strifeman, i'd like to book an appointment with the counselor?"

This story is far from over, i have a good idea of the storyline so i'll probably uploading alot :)
