Chapter Twenty.
I woke up to a bright light shining in my eyes, it was morning, I looked up, I was sleeping next to Cooper, in Cooper’s house, shit. I shuffled around looking for my phone, I finally found it wrapped in my jeans. Ten missed called and a text from my mum.
When you see this, you call me immediately you are in big trouble missy!
Crap I’m in big trouble and I know it, it’s 9 am on a Monday, I’ve missed school! Shit! I shook Cooper awake.
“What time is it?” he said rubbing his eyes.
“Nine” I said picking up my clothes, I looked up to an empty top bunk, shit, we had sex last night with his whole family downstairs! Oh my god. I wonder if Alfie came in last night and went to school or hasn’t been in here all night? Surely I would have heard him.
“In the night?” he said surprised.
“Really, sunshine pouring through the window and you think it’s night!” I said sarcastically.
“Who’s bitten you this morning?” he said getting up.
“No one, my mum’s been ringing me, we fell asleep and I didn’t go home last night, I’m in massive trouble!” I shouted.
“Shit, I’m so sorry, quick get dressed I’ll take you home now!” he said picking up his own clothes, I got dressed on the spot and so did he. We ran downstairs to his car; no one else was up in his house. On the way back to my house I had a text of Aria.
Where are you? Why aren’t you in school? Has Cooper killed you?! Text me!!xxx
I laughed at the fact she thought Cooper had killed me, nope took my virginity instead but I couldn’t exactly tell her that over text.
I was at Cooper’s on my way home now, mum’s going to me so mad! No he hasn’t but we need to talk later!!xxx
Aria lost her virginity with Dave, I remember her telling me and I remember her mentioning that it hurt but wasn’t too bad and after a few times it gets better. I looked forward to that with Cooper. If after last night I’m allowed to see him again. We pulled up outside my house, my mum didn’t start work till 2 she works late on Monday’s so her car was parked on the drive. I jumped out of the car and ran up the drive after saying a quick goodbye to Cooper, I told him I’d text him if I still had a phone, he laughed. I slowly opened the door to my house.
“Mum, I’m home…” I shouted as she was out of sight.
“Where the hell have you been? Mike and I have been worried sick!!” she screamed walking out from the kitchen!
“We fell asleep” I said calmly.
“You fell asleep!!” she said raising her voice in pitch.
“Yes we fell asleep”
“Well missy you’re in big trouble, you missed your curfew and now you’ve missed school today by missing that curfew and I have nothing else to do but ground you, for a week! And no TV!” she screamed and grunted to herself as she went back to the kitchen, I dragged my feet up the stairs. I then texted Aria.
Well that went well, grounded for a week and no TV, great -_- xx
I knew she wouldn’t answer me as she was in class so instead I texted Cooper.
Mum’s grounded me for a week, guess I can’t see you till next Sunday unless mum lets me out L xxx
I sighed and laid back on my bed, I looked up at my ceiling and seen the old glow in the dark stars I’d made my dad stick up there back when he lived here with us. I was surprised when my dad left that my mum didn’t move, I thought she’d want to move from all the memories but instead she stayed and then Mike moved in with us and then Sam came along. Cooper replied.
Oh damn, that sucks, I’m really sorry about it, it’s all my fault, I really should have looked at the time and not fallen asleep, I really did enjoy last night though, not just the sex I enjoyed actually sleeping with you too xxx
I’m starting to fall for Cooper more and more, he’s such a nice guy and he’s gorgeous and it’s unbelievable how different he is to other guys. I replied back.
It’s not your fault it’s mine, I really enjoyed too, we must do it again J I better stop texting and do the homework I should have done over the weekend, mum’s going to make me go back to school after break which is at half ten, speak to you later Jxxx
He didn’t reply and I went on to doing my homework, I knew my mum would make me go back to school after school break, whenever I’m late in the morning she does it, saves me going in halfway through a lesson. I completed my homework in no time at all, it was science, I wasn’t a massive fan of science but I knew how to do it so it was quite easy.
I went back to school at half ten on the dot, my mum drove me and the car ride was silent, I seen Aria in my next lesson and on dinner, I told her everything!
“So you finally did it!” she said jumping up and down excitedly.
“Yes, yes I did, it was amazing!” I said laughing “Gutted I can’t see Cooper for a week though” my mood fell.
“Don’t worry it’s only a week, how do you think I feel, Dave’s going skiing with his parents next week! At least Cooper’s in the same country as you” she leant her elbows on the table and rested her face in her hands; her and Dave are inseparable so him leaving the country is a massive thing!
“You can text and call” I smiled at her.
“Yeah but it’s not the same” she said picking at her food, the rest of dinner was quite quiet, I was thinking of Cooper and I’m assuming Aria was thinking of Dave.
The rest of the day flew by and so did the rest of the week to be honest, and on Monday straight after school Cooper was waiting outside for me, it was the first I’d seen him all week, we’d been texting non stop and got closer I thought. I ran over to him, he picked me up, spun me round and kissed me like we hadn’t left each other. I smiled as he pulled away.
“What you smiling at?” he said raising his right eyebrow up.
“I’m just happy to see you, am I not allowed to smile?” I said sarcastically, he laughed and opened the car door for me. I got in, I didn’t know where we were going but I’d told my mum I was going out straight after school so she didn’t expect me home till about ten. I couldn’t wait to finish school in a few weeks for summer, it’s my last year so I have to go back for exams but after that I’ve finished school for good! We drove down to the lake and started walking around it, halfway around we stopped and sat on a bench to talk. As we sat down Cooper looked behind me and squinted his eyes as if looking at something, I turned to see what he was looking at and seen Will, passing a packet of white pills to some young guy, my mouth dropped.
“Wow, didn’t know he was back selling drugs! He gave up for ages!” Cooper said still staring at Will.
“His problem not ours right” I said smiling, I slipped my hand into Cooper’s, he grinned at me and kissed me.
“Very true” he said and kissed me again this time much more passionately.
“Fancy seeing you here” A man’s voice came from behind me, I knew who it was before I turned around, Will stood there smiling.
“Alright mate?” Cooper said nodding his head up to him.
“Yeah, you?” he sat down the other side of Cooper. Well this is awkward.
“Yeah great mate” Cooper said slipping his hand back into mine.
“So is this your girlfriend? Scarlett is it?” he said pretending not to know me, I didn’t want to know what he was up to.
“Yeah Scarlett you remember Will from Dave’s party? Oh wait didn’t you two already know each other?” Cooper said pointing to each of us frantically.
“Yeah, we used to date” Will grinned while lighting a fag.
“You used to date?” Cooper looked at me stupidly.
“Yeah, it was a mistake” I said looking away from him.
“Well I’m off, done my business here, enjoy the rest of your day” Will grinned at me and walked off. What did he have against me?
“So uh you went out with Will?” Cooper said letting go of my hand.
“Only for a little bit, it meant nothing” I lied.
“Come on I should get you home” he said getting up; he grabbed my hand to pull me up and let go once I was up. What’s up with him? Will has to ruin everything for me! What’s he doing? Is he trying to ruin mine and Cooper’s relationship? Is he jealous? Cooper dropped me home without even a goodnight’s kiss. For the top worst dates, this had to be one of them; cannot believe he was there, drug dealing even!! So much for not touching the drugs that was pretty much touching them! He’s such a dick! Argh! I screamed into my pillow and then got up and texted Aria.
You’ll never guessed who was at the lake when Cooper and I went there? Here’s a hint, he was dealing drugs!xx
Her reply was almost instant, I knew she’d know who it was but didn’t expect this response.
I know, Cooper told Dave, Dave told me, cannot believe he told Cooper you two used to be in a relationship, what’s he up to?xx
That was a question I didn’t know the answer too but I was going to make it my mission to find out!
