Of course I didn't get very far. The wolf Micael was too fast and went right past me and blocked my way, snarling at me. I still held on really tight onto JJ who still hadn't stopped crying."Please, Micael? Let me get him back to Dani and I swear you can do whatever,please." I begged him.
"No, mommy!" JJ whimpered, burying his face into my neck. Out of nowhere, Xavier appeared. "Yo, dude! Hunter needs help." he said to Micael desperately. Micael glared at me with his black eyes and growled one last time before speeding back.
"Rain! Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." Xavier said shaking his head. "It's okay, X." I said softly. I sat down on a nearby tree stump and looked at my son. His face was tear-stained and he looked so sad. "Oh! I'm sorry, baby! I should have never brought you back here. We're leaving first thing tomorrow." I said kissing him and wiping away his tears.
Xavier stared at me. "You know, Hunter's gotta reason to be mad." he said. I glared up at him "And whats that?" I snapped. Hunter had no right whatsoever to be mad. He never gave me the chance to even explain!
Xavier rubbed the back of his head. "Well, you know. You did leave him and had someone elses baby -"
"Xavier!" I snapped, then I place JJ down on the tree stump and stood up. "You don't know anything so shut the hell up." I said, putting my hands on my hips. He was about to say something but then he looked at JJ - properly.
"How old is he?" Xavier asked, his eyes narrowing at my son. "Three." I replied. Xavier's eyes went wide then. He looked from me to JJ and seemed to be putting the pieces together. "It's his baby." Xavier whispered in shock and took a step forward. "It's Hunter's son." he said, still whispering.
I rolled my eyes "You don't say."
Xavier crouched beside JJ and wiped his tears form his cheeks. "Hey. I'm your Uncle Xavier. What's your name?" Xavier asked softly. JJ sniffed and looked at me expectantly. I smiled and nodded to show that Xavier was safe.
"I'm Jyson. But mommy calls me JJ." he answered in a small voice. "Jyson?" Xavier repeated, looking back at me. I shrugged and smiled. "That's Hunter's middle name. It really is his!" Xavier exclaimed. JJ frowned. "Whose Hunter?" he asked. Xavier patted his head and laughed nervously. Then he pulled out his iPhone from his pocket and gave it to JJ. "Here, son. You play on that, mommy and me need to talk." he said as JJ happily took the phone.
Xavier pulled me out of JJ's earshot. "What were you thinking?!" he whisper yelled at me. "Keeping his baby away from him like that?!". I looked back at him defiantly. "I did it for Hunter. He would have freaked out if I'd have told him. He had his whole life ahead of him, he didn't need a baby to tie him down!" I hissed.
"You could have talked to him about it!" "Really? Talk about it? I don't think so -" "Do you know how heart broken he was? While you're there playing Happy Families with another guy and Hunter's kid!"
I felt myself getting angry then. "Why does everyone think I left Hunter for someone else? I didn't!" I snapped. Xavier folded his arms. "Look, back to Jyson, you had no right to keep him away from his dad!"
"I had every right! You don't know what I've been through, having to raise him on my own!" I said almost in tears. "Well, it sure beats having your girlfriend walk out on you and taking your unborn child, doesn't it?" he said tightening his grip on his arms. "You shouldnt have came back, Rain." he said simply."Well I did." I replied, sticking my chin in the air.
"Oh yeah. And hows that working out for you?"
I glared at him and stomped - well, limped- back to JJ, grabbing the phone out of his hands and dropping it on the floor. "Mommy!" he protested. I picked him up and swung him on my hip, heading back out the forest.

"Oh, my gosh! Rain's back!"
"Rain? Oh!"
"She's back!"
"Hey, whose baby is that?"
I only smiled politely at everyone and made my way inside the huge mansion. Hunter had told me that it was a home where all of his family members and friends just chilled and did whatever there. I always found that quiet weird.
I stalked into the familiar mansion and to where his dad's secretary was. I don't know why you need a secretary in a house but hey. I smiled at the beautiful ginger woman who I remembered as Bella. She pushed her glasses further back when she saw me. "Rain? Is that you? Oh my!"
I smiled and out JJ down. "Yeah, it's me, Bella. I'd love to chat but I really need to see Hunter, have you seen him?" I asked as she stared at my lip and the bump under my eye but she shakily pointed to Hunter's dad's office. I thanked her and got JJ's hand and knocked briefly before walking in.
I just wanted to let Hunter know that this was most definitely his baby so that I could just be on my way since I wasn't welcomed here. After this, I plan to move so far away. Maybe to Peru or something...
Every eye looked at me as I walked in. Hunter was sat at his dad's big oak desk, his head in his hands. A shirtless Micael stood on one side of him, his hand on Hunter's back. Xavier stood on Hunter's left looking worried -honestly I didn't have a clue how he'd got here so fast -.
Four other guys stood around the room. I remembered these guys from high school. They were Hunter's closest friends and like my brothers if I was honest. Before I started dating Hunter, I actually got picked on quite a lot - even by my own friends. But these four guys and Micael were just like my shield.
Trent, Josh, Ryan and Scott's eyes widened at the same time once they saw me. I smiled back excitedly and went in to hug Ryan, this tall baby faced blond guy, but Hunter's head snapped up out of his hands and he looked intensely at him.
"Everyone, get out." he ordered. The guys looked sad but as they filed out one by one, except Micael, I gave them each a sly high five so Hunter didn't see. Xavier shook his head at me as he left. I wanted to smack him in his mouth.
Once the door slammed shut, I pointed to the sofa at the back of the room. "Sweetie, go sit over there, please." I whispered to JJ. He glanced at Micael and Hunter nervously but then did as he was told and climbed up onto the couch.
Hunter was resting his chin on his clasped hands but his eyes were fixated on JJ and followed him as he moved. He still looked at him for a while and once he was sure that JJ wasn't gonna say or do anything, his eyes snapped to mine and he waited for me to begin.
I took a deep breath as I stood in front of him. "I know you don't wanna see me, Hunter, but I promise - once I finish what I have to say, I'll go." I said shakily. Hunter raised his eyebrow for me to carry on. I dint remember him having such an authoritative aura around him, he scared me so much.
"Well, lemme start from the beginning. The only reason I left was because I was pregnant - with your baby." I paused for a dramatic affect. I saw both him and Micael taken aback and glance at JJ. "I-I didn't know how to tell you cos I knew you'd freak out. A baby would have been the last thing on your mind so I didnt want the baby to be a burden to you." I said, tears welling up. "But I did not leave you for someone else. For the first five months, I was virtually on my own. But then I met this guy..."
I saw Hunter's eye twitch slightly. I remember how he did this when he got super jealous and protective even if a guy simply paid me a compliment. I watched as he leaned back on his leather chair and leaned one arm on the armrest, his hand resting lightly on his mouth.
I started crying then "A-and I thought h-he could be a father figure to our son but he wasn't and him and his family -" I was too choked up to carry on. Just thinking about what Rocky's family would have done to JJ, given the chance...
I put my hand over my mouth as the tears poured out. "I'm so sorry, Hunter." I whispered. He stood up then and walked over to me so that we were (or would have been if he wasnt so tall) eye to eye. "How do I know the kid's mine?" He asked in a low voice. "What? Hunter look at him! That is your baby!"
"I dont believe you." he growled. As annoyed and angry as I was with him, I loved how close he as to me and how warm he felt and his beautiful cologne! I wanted to take him into my arms but clearly that wasnt happening. I narrowed my eyes at him and turned back to JJ. "Honey, come here." I said. JJ got off the couch and came over.
I picked him up and made him look at Hunter. I could have sworn I saw Hunter soften but he quickly recomposed himself. Then JJ, out of the blue, held his arms out to Hunter. Normally, JJ would never let a stranger hold him nor would he ever willingly ask a stranger to hold him. Ever.
I saw Hunter's arms twitch slightly and rise up, probably out of instict, but he forced himself not to. I saw that Inward battle with himself about picking up JJ. When JJ saw that Hunter wasnt about to hold him, he put his arms back down, defeatedly and buried his face in my neck, whimpering softly.
I hugged him tight. "It's okay, baby. I've got enough love from two parents." I whispered to him. "Hunter, I think - " Micael started, he looked concerned now. Hunter held his hand up, shakily. "Shut up." He said. I could see some kind of hurt in his eyes.
"I'm gonna go now. I know you don't want our son but I've been fine without you for these past few years. What says I can't do another few years doing the same? Goodbye, Hunter. Hopefully for the last time." I spat.
I stalked out of the office and made my way to the front door, planning on heading back to Dani's and hearing the strong wind and rain outside. But it wasn't just a bit of piddly rain. I pulled open the door and this gust of wind just smacked me in the face, knocking me back and sending JJ right out of my arms.
