My mother was a flowing river

Peacefully, swiftly, she cared for me

She washed everything away with her

Sometimes controlling but made with glee

My mother was once the bright blue sky

She made my favorite things pass by

Then, she gave me my wings of freedom

She raised the sun to give me guidance

My mother was a beautiful mountain

She shone on top of every hill

She made all others fall to her

But chose the one to love so dear

My mother was the world to me

She was the nature of my being

The essence of all my actions

The blessing sent by heaven

An important person taken away

Someone who left me full of dismay

Don't you believe how hard it is?

Love your mom the way she is...
