Sometimes one can feel life slipping away, like life is only a minute long. it normally happens at night, you're lying down wishing you could force your body to go to sleep and then it hits you. For Matilda this was a regular thing. Why she didn't know, but it would creep up on her. When it started she was about 5, at first she just ran to her parents room and forgot about it. But as the years went by Matilda found that they got worse, at age 14 they were more sudden and made her feel sick. oddly enough she slowly wore more and more black. On this particular day, Instead of wearing a pink shirt with blue leggings she would wear a long black dress with striped black and white leggings. Like other girls, she loved makeup. But she threw it on in big black blotches. She slowly smeared black lipstick along her pale chapped lips. She was used to people staring, she rather liked it. But after a while when people looked at her their faces didn't look shocked, but disgusted. Matilda clenched the end of her dress, "What am I?" She thought, "Why am I doing this? Why aren't I normal?" she ran to the girls change room, she rummaged threw lockers until she found a bright yellow dress. she threw it on
And washed her face. she COULD be nnormal if she tried hard enough!
There was just one pproblem how does one act?
