I've waited all day long. Now is the time to say goodbye.
I take my shoes off and slowly walk into the water. I wait for him, my one love.
I look at the envelope in my hand. His last letter to me, I will keep forever. I open it and read over it again.
Gosh I can't even explain how much I love you. I know that I love you a lot though. To Infinity and beyond? No even further than that.
"Aaliyah." I look behind me and see Cameron dressed in his uniform. 4 medals hanging down from his pocket.
"Cameron please don't go. I need you." I run up to him and hug him.
"I have to baby. I know it's going to be hard, but I must." He swings me around on the empty beach.
"You could stay with me. We will have the baby and be a family like we've always wanted to be." I say whilst crying.
"I'm sorry Lia." He puts me down and I sink into the sand.
"Cameron don't go." He takes off one of his badges and puts it in my hand.
"You have my strength now, stay strong for me while I'm gone. Stay strong for the both us."
"I can't. When you're with me, my strength is fine but when you're gone I'm weak. I'm weak without you."
"I'm sorry. I promise you I will be back. I will be back for my mom, my sister, you and our baby. I won't go but if I do, promise me that I'll always be in your heart where you know I will still be with you every single day."
"I promise. You take up a big part in my heart." I say placing a hand over my chest.
"Thank you."
"I love you Cameron and I will every single day." I hug him but he turns that hug into a kiss. A long kiss which I hope would last forever but it doesn't. It had to end.
"Goodbye Lia. I love you." He grabs my hands and kisses my forehead. Slowly he leaves my grip.
"No Cameron please don't go." He walks off into the distance, doesn't even turn back once. "Come back." I say as loud as I could which isn't very loud. It was more of a whisper.
I watch has his figure gets smaller in the distance. Slowly it disappears from view and j break down and cry even more.
Everyones left me.
Everyone I ever truly loved.
Milly.
My parents.
Now Cameron.
What could be next?
I sit in the water and look out at the sunset.
