I Am Poem
I am the stagnated and decisive echo heard in a painful scream.
I wonder if am good enough,
I hear voices,
I see pain,
I want happiness.
I am the echo heard in a painful scream.
I pretend I am a ballerina,
I feel my muscles tense as my body moves swiftly,
I touch the sweat as it drips from my forehead,
I worry that I may be pushing myself too far.
I cry at the thought of being alone, empty, with nothing or no one.
I am the echo heard in a painful scream.
I understand that life goes on with or without you,
I say catch that train before it goes.
I dream of an alternate reality,
I try to make reality just as exceptional.
I am the echo heard in a painful scream.
