I silently crept down the hallways as I headed to the potions classroom.

'Please don't let a teacher catch me PLEEEEEAASE don't let a teacher catch me!' I begged. I didn't need a detention this early in the year.

'Why does the potions classroom have to be so far away? Sure, the potions classroom is an easy place for Malfoy, it's near his common room! But for me, it's seven floors away from my common room' I thought. Stupid Malfoy, couldn't we have met in the middle so I'm not the only one to get into trouble?

Finally I neared the potions classroom. I stepped inside and closed the door. I flinched as it made a loud creaking noise.

"About time, Smith" Malfoy sneered. "Could you not have been bothered to show up on time? You're fifteen minutes late!"

I was appalled. "Oh, I'm sorry that this classroom is seven floors away from my common room and I didn't want to get detention for sneaking out after hours!" I whisper yelled back at him.

He rolled his eyes. "Whatever, lets just get started so, hopefully, we can get a couple hours of sleep tonight. But, seeing how awful you are at potions, it's highly unlikely."

"Fine, what are we starting with?" I asked him.

Malfoy shrugged. "I dunno; I figured maybe we could try the Strengthening Solution again. You seemed to somewhat get it in class today, but not completely."

"Oh, alright" I replied, shocked at his sudden change of tone. Draco Malfoy sounded, dare I say, somewhat... Nice. Malfoy got all the ingredients we would need and told me to start.

Boy, did I feel dumb; I couldn't do anything right!

"Arghhhh, Malfoy help me I don't know what I'm doing!" I grumbled as he sat off to the side, watching me intently. "What are you staring at?"

"What, oh, nothing. I'm just watching you fail at making that Strengthening Solution, Smith" he smirked.

"Well then why don't you do it so something doesn't explode?" I shot back, sick of screwing up.

"Fine" he said as he shoved me out of the way and started brewing the potion properly. I moved to the corner where he had been sitting and watched. I watched the way he ever so carefully chopped up the ingredients needed. I watched the way he swiped his hair out of the way. I watched the way he narrowed his eyes in concentration. I watched the way he licked his lips in frustration.'

'What am I doing?! He's a slimy git that's absolutely horrible! Maybe, just maybe, I would think he was cute if one, he was a bit nicer to everyone, two, he wiped that sexy smirk off his face, and three, he wasn't in Slytherin. I remember how awful I felt about almost being out in Slytherin, but dating one? Unthinkable.

"Smith. Smith. Smiiiiiiith. Were you even paying attention?" Malfoy asked, sounding extremely annoyed. "Look, Smith, I don't wanna be here any more than you do, so if you could maybe just pay attention... We could leave" he said bluntly.

"Um.. Sorry.." I muttered, embarrassed at myself. I felt a small blush creep onto my cheeks and I prayed it would go away before the stupid git would notice.

He rubbed his neck and sighed. "Maybe we should be done for the night. You're obviously not focusing." There is was again; a semi-nice sounding Draco Malfoy.

"Uh, yeah. Sure. When should we meet up again?" I asked, extremely thankful for the session ending early.

"Tomorrow. Same time and place" Malfoy said as he left the room hurriedly.

'What a weirdo' I thought as I packed up my stuff and headed back to the common room. As I entered the portrait hole, I saw Hermione sitting on the couch.

"Hermione?" I called out quietly.

"Oh! Skye! Hi! Where have you been?" She asked nervously.

"Studying" I said with a shrug.

She raised her eyebrows. "Skye, it's 1:00. Why didn't you study here? I could tutor you!" Oh Hermione.

"Thanks, Hermione, but Snape's already assigned me a tutor. Rules are rules" I said, shrugging my shoulders again. "Although, I do wish I could be tutored at any time other than the middle of the night."

Hermione chuckled at that. "Go to bed, Skye. I'll wake you up in time for breakfast."

I had one thought as I went to bed; what was Hermione still doing awake? I pushed the thought out of my mind and cuddled into my nice, warm bed.

Hermione woke me up the next morning, just like she said she would. I showered and dressed quickly, eager to make it to breakfast this morning.

Hermione and Ginny were waiting for me by the portrait hole with giant smirks plastered on their faces.

"What?" I questioned as I walked up to them.

"Oh, nothing. Just a quick question. Who were you dreaming about last night?" Ginny asked, as the smirk on her face grew. I felt my face heating up, knowing exactly who I was dreaming about.

"No one" I muttered, shoving past them and out of the common room. I heard Ginny and Hermione giggle and follow me down to breakfast. I kept hoping and praying that I didn't say his name in my sleep. I know what you're thinking. No, I did not have a dirty dream. That's just gross.

Why did I even have a dream about stupid Malfoy. He's a stupid ferret that I've hated since 2nd year. Stupid git. Why's he have to get hot this year? Dammit! No! Bad Skylar! Just eat your cereal and forget about it!

Throughout the day, I couldn't help but look forward to my tutoring session that night. As much as I thought I hated Malfoy, maybe I didn't actually hate him... Maybe I sort of... Liked him?

No, that's impossible.

Or is it?

By the time 10:00 rolled around, I made sure I was in the potions room on time.

[DRACO'S POV]

It was almost 10:00, meaning it was time for me to help that worthless Gryffindor girl pass potions.

I left the common room and found myself at the potions room in a matter of minutes. To my surprise, Smith was already there.

'Wow, actually on time tonight' I thought as a smirk crept onto my face.

"Yes, it's possible for me to be on time, Draco" she muttered. Oops. Did I say that out loud? Oh well.

She rolled her eyes and continued to read her potions book.

"Well, Smith, lets get started. Draught of Peace. We studied that today. Make it and explain it" I told her as I sat in my corner.

Smith moved to get her ingredients; powdered moonstone, syrup of hellebore, powdered porcupine quills, and powdered unicorn horn. At least she got that much right.

Smith managed to get as far as step 10 out of 16 until she screwed up. Step 11 of making Draught of Peace was to add powdered unicorn horn until the potion turned pink. In Smith's case, she added too much unicorn horn, causing the potion to turn a bright shade of blue and emit a dark grey steam.

I saw a look of panic cross her face, knowing she did something wrong. She turned to me and I sighed, trying to figure out how I could help her out of this one.

Before I even stood up, she collapsed.

"Shit" I muttered before rushing over to her.

The fumes from the potion made her fall into a deep sleep. If the potion was brewed correctly, there wouldn't be any fumes. Great. What was I supposed to do with a Gryffindor girl who was seven floors away from her common room, who had just passed out and would wake up who knows when?

Well, I decided to carry her back to her common room. Ugh, someone must be rubbing off on me. Draco Lucius Malfoy never does nice things for people.

I scooped her up and made my way to the Gryffindor common room entrance. I couldn't help but notice how nice she looked when she slept. She looked peaceful; possibly from the screwed up results of a peace potion, but I had never seen her look so peaceful before.

Smith seemed to always be stressed about one thing or another, but while she slept, the worry faded off her face, making her look even more beautiful.

'What am I saying?!' I thought as I shook my head in disgust. I am Draco Malfoy and I will absolutely not, no matter what, fall for a Gryffindor.
