Riley POV!
6 Miles and a bucket of sweat later we are all crawling our way over to were the coach was writting something on his clipboard. "Ok guys... andgirl, were gunna be running drills to see watcha can do. Know i know most of you were on the team for the last 3 year and others were 2 or just 1. Now I wanna see how good lil missy over there can run and catch the ball also having some real meat heads running at her." He finished. some of the guys were groaning "Hey coach this aint my first rodeo ya know?!" I said peved that he thought that I have never played in a game before. He just smirked at me as I heard some 'thats what she said jokes' I blushed at those and just looked down. "Ok guys.. and girl suit up and lets see wat she.. and umm you guys can do!"
I was suited up in my gear and ready to go. The coach told us the plays he wanted us to play, I got in position. As soon as I heard "blue 28, blue 28, hut hut!" I started to run the way of the play. I looked back to see him throwing the ball but it was no where near where I was running so I pushed off my right leg just in time to miss the meat heads coming at me. The ball was still to high in the air . I ran ahead off it and jumped just as it was coming down and headed for the feild goal. 20 yards, 15,10, 5, touch down! I jumped up and down. "Take that you jerks!" I twanged at them.
That went on and on during practice until finally they tag teamed me. someone grabbed my legs and someone took my torso. It felt as if someone was ripping my body apart. When they got up I stayed down. I couldnt breathe. THey came over to me, coach got down on one knee and saw what was happening. He took one look at me and said for them to call an ambulance. They looked scared as they ran to their bags. "What were u thinking? Even if you did that to one of the guys they would experience this kind of reaction!" He rolled me over and took off my helment. "Do u have an undershirt on under ur pads?" He asked. I nodded my head. He ripped up the jersey and took off the pads. Causing me to scream in pain. The guys winced. Jayden looked like he was gonna murder someone. I think I heard him say "mine" Once or twice. They ambulance arrived and said that i had a few cracked ribbs and gave me some pain killers and asked me if I wanted a ride him. I shock my head as I slowly got up. I winced as I fell back on my butt. I gasepd as pain tore through my chest.
"I see that im not wanted. I guess that I will leave you to the rest of ur practice." I gasped through my teeth. I went over to the bleachers and put my stuff in my bag. I just sat there as the tears started to fall. The coach came over to see wat I was doing and saw that I was crying. He tried to help but I just shrugged him off. He went over and yelled at them and told them to run until he told them to stop and if they stopped they were off the team. they ran and ran and ran...
