"Uncle why dose father no longer come to see me?" A young girl asked as Loki tucked her into bed "He has just been very busy lately" he said sadly placing a kiss on her forehead
"He can be busy for that long" she argued angrily brushing aside her blonde curls "I wish you were my daddy" she whispered as if it were a closely guarded secret
Loki shook his head with a smile "I sometimes wish that too" he kissed her forehead before exiting the room.
Thor walked down the hallway a smile on his face. Loki gave him a disappointed look "Is Freya awake?" He inquired, not picking up on the waves of contempt and jealously
"She is asleep" Loki stated simply "She was so excited to see her father, she even dressed up for the occasion... But you weren't there"
"There will be plenty of other days.."
"No. No their won't, she is growing up and your to busy fighting silly battles to see it" With that Loki stormed away Thor left dumbfounded in his wake
