Prolouge

-Unknown cats POV-
The bright light surrounded me as I walked around, confused. I had been to this place before but never without warning.  My paws felt damp and cold from the white Cloud-like substance covering the ground, it made me feel uncomfortable. As I tilted my head upwards I caught a glimpse of a she cat. She had a Sandy coloured coat, but it was shimmering. She spoke with a urgent voice, I could feel her fear surrounding the air around me. "A cat of Black will have a soul of thorns" she said, her tail flickering "your clan is already stained with the blood of the innocent, unless you act upon these words". I was confused, but I knew this cat was trying to tell me something important. How could I be missing the core of this Problem. "What is that supposed to mean?!" I snapped back angrily, but more out of fear "you starclan cats always have these fancy Ways of telling us somethings wrong but you never know what your on about!". I thought about what I just said and my eyes widened, these are my ancestors, I should have spoken to them in that way, after all, they have already fought battles and Adventured through clan life. I flicked my tail to apologise and take back what I had just said but the she cats gaze wasn't if anger, it was still of seriousness "You must listen to me, One paw step on the wrong line, will destroy the forest. " her eyes were narrowed. I felt the chill in her voice strangle my spine. My fur stood on end, analysing what she had just said. "Destroy the forest?!". There was no reply, my eyes shot open and the scent of starclan was slowly fading away from me. I still couldn't grasp what she had said and the meaning behind it. "A cat of black will have a soul of thorns?" I said out loud instead of in my head. My deputy turned his head to look at me "a cat of thorns?" He asked curiously. I shook my head "it doesn't matter..." I replied getting to my paws. It did matter, I know it did but I can't let my clan panic. I would just have to figure this out by myself. You never know, maybe she could have been over panicking.
