Alexandra sat across from Aubrey and looked at him intensely.
Alexandra: So how have you been? How is life going?
[Flashback]
Aubrey: I don't know. This girl just seems so....
Halima: Perfect?
Aubrey: Yes. But perfect comes along every night for me.
Halima clicked on some pictures of headshots on her computer for her modeling job and turned around to Aubrey who was leaning against the wall.
Halima: Look. I know exactly how this is and how it feels. So maybe you should just give this with her a break? It seems like she's playing you.
Aubrey: I don't know. I just have to see her one more time.
[Now]
Aubrey: Good. Eye opening.
Alexandra's phone went off and she sat it on the dinner table.
Aubrey: Look, I need to ask you something. Where is this going? What's going on between us?
Alexandra took a sip of wine.
Alexandra: I mean...you're...you and-
Aubrey: Don't give me that excuse. Don't. I'm not gonna waste my time on something that I've written about, sung about & have went through for years.
Alexandra looked in amazement. She was starting to feel bad for having such a cold attitude towards Aubrey but thought of all the other times she's poured her heart into something that didn't really matter. But she had to give Aubrey the benefit of the doubt.
[Flashback]
Nicole and Alexandra were bag shopping on Rodeo drive a few weeks ago.
Nicole: I feel like you should let your attitude show. Make him work for your love and affection. Don't make anything easy for him.
Alexandra: I know. I know. But the more I pull back, the more I feel myself falling deeper and deeper into this hole of emotion. Of liking him.
Nicole: Make him have to work for you. That's all I'm saying.
[Now]
Alexandra: I don't know.
She began choking up.
Aubrey: What's on your mind?
Alexandra: I can see the people that hurt you. The things that bother you. How much you probably want out of some of the situations you're in. And you mask it.
Aubrey: what?
Alexandra: Not that it's a facade, but I know that certain people can see a noticeable change. Whether its good or bad, success has changed you. But in some way I can see that it's intensified your pain and you deal in a way that we all see. That we all hear. Your greatest legacy is how you feel. And how you feel is what you are all the time.
Aubrey: I can't tell you how much that means to me. But I also want you to know that I'm just trying to get into your heart. Honestly. I know I could treat you a lot better than anyone else you've ever been with. Forget about the money. Forget about the girls. But not what me & you could have.
Alexandra: I....can't. I can't do this with anyone anymore. This ISN'T for me. I can't.
Alex got up and began walk out but Aubrey grabbed her arm. He walked up and stood behind her.
Aubrey: I'm not gonna give up on how I feel about you and if you gave me a chance nothing would tear us apart.
