Chapter: Maggie and I make a Switch

Author: Axel Otto

It was Christmas break. It hadn't been two days since we got home before Maggie whipped out her new boyfriend.

"Tuck, Ax, this is Kyle. My boyfriend." She was presenting him as if he were a gift to us. He was tall (a basketball player), blonde (his hair reminded me of a baby golden retriever's fur), and very, very attractive (mossy green eyes, light freckles, jawline sharper than Tuck's intuition.) He was timid and still a virgin, according to Maggie. He was here for a family dinner.

I stood up, rolled my shoulders back, and puffed out my chest. I loved playing big brother. "I'm Axel. I'm just shy of six foot, I'm 185 pounds, and I'm the starting goalie for Penn State's soccer team. If you hurt my baby sister, I'll make sure you never breathe again. Good to meet you, son."

I stuck my hand out to him, and his fingers were sweaty and jittery in my own. He had looked me in the eye before I was officially introduced to him, but now his only focus was my shoes. I watched Maggie roll her eyes and curse at me in German. "Don't worry," she whispered to him. "He even says that to my girl friends."

This made Kyle smile slightly, and I noticed that he had a nice smile.

"He says it to the girls I date too," Tuck said, ever the charming boy-next-door. He flashed Kyle a smile, for Maggie's benefit, then shook Kyle's hand. Kyle actually looked him in the eyes, and I instantly became jealous. "I'm Tucker, Axel's best, and only, friend."

My mom, who was busy finishing her cooking in the kitchen, laughed at this. This eased the tension I had created.

We sat down for dinner without my father. He was in Singapore, and wouldn't be home for another week. That weekend, my mother was going to fly out and spend three days with him.

This dinner was the beginning of a long month (PSU gave all their students 5 weeks off during the holidays) with the four of us. Me, Tuck, Maggie, and Kyle.

The dynamic began with lazy afternoons watching Lost or Grey's Anatomy in our living room, all four of us probably in pajamas. Maggie and I exchanged witty sibling banter, Kyle's gaze snapped away from mine every time I glanced at him, and Tuck and Maggie shared silent looks and the almost unnoticeable touches of two people still very much in love. I predicted, with Tuck home, Kyle and Maggie wouldn't last a week.

I was right.

Over the course of a few days, Kyle had started warming up to me. I had started cracking some jokes that made him laugh, and we realized we had more in common than just our love for Magdalene. Kyle played soccer as well as basketball, and even read the same James Patterson novels I did.

I was developing a crush on him, and I felt like he was developing one on me in return.

"Where are they going now?"

Kyle's embarrassed, small tone made me sympathetic. Tuck and Maggie had been doing "Tuck and Maggie things." They went out for ice cream last night, leaving Kyle and I alone to watch a movie. According to Kyle, the reason for this was that Maggie "really looked up to Tuck" and that Tuck was "like a second brother to her" and that they "wanted to catch up." Poor little naive Kyle didn't realize this was code for have sex in the backseat of Tuck's sedan.

"They went to go see Mrs. Oaks and Rick, Tuck's mom's boyfriend. We're really close with his family and Tuck's parents wanted her to come over for dinner."

Kyle frowned, looking at me with discontent. "Oh."

I turned my attention back to the bowl of lucky charms I was eating.

"Should I be worried?" he asked, genuinely confused with his role as Maggie's alleged boyfriend.

"Nah," I said, swallowing down some marshmallows. "It'll give you frown lines. And you're too cute for that."

This made Kyle turn bright red. I couldn't help but laugh at him as he put his head in his hands, trying to escape my scrutiny.

"What? Is cute too feminine? Sorry, dude, I'll use handsome next time. Or dapper. Oooh, maybe suave. Is attractive okay? Why don't you just write me a list of pre-approved adjectives and I'll just use those!"

By this time, Kyle had taken up trying to push me and punch me as I kept complementing him. I was laughing and so was he, so when I switched our roles and pressed him up against the counter, I really wasn't expecting him to whimper as my hips pressed into his.

That's when I decided that something had to be done. I just stared at him, wishing he were naked, before pushing myself off the counter and throwing my cereal bowl in the sink. I was pissed that I couldn't kiss him, because he was technically still my sister's boyfriend. But, by the sheer observation of how little attention she gave him and how much she gave Tuck, I didn't think ending the relationship was going to be that hard.

"Sorry, Axel," Kyle said, rubbing the back of his neck, as soon as I turned around to face him again. He was blushing. "You just, you're kinda big, and-"

I interrupted him with a snort. "I know. Don't worry," I gave him a soft, playful shove. "Just don't tell Maggie how much I turn you on."

And just as he began to protest, I leaned down, and grabbed his crotch, which was, like I expected, very swollen. I looked up at his open mouthed stare and smiled.

"Hey kid, the feeling's mutual. Don't look so upset."

Kyle just gaped at me like a fish out of water as I walked away, smiling to myself. A few days later, Tuck and Maggie went on another outing. We were alone again.

There was a knock on my door. I was busy playing Fifa (alone) and didn't want to be interrupted.

"Not now," I grumbled, missing a shot on the USA team's goal. I cursed.

"It's Kyle. I want to talk to you." Instead of the little timid virgin voice I expected to hear, Kyle sounded confident. I told him to come in, but I didn't turn the game off.

He hovered by my door as I made no move to get up from my beanbag. His hovering was making me nervous and I missed another shot. I cursed again, threw the controller into the bin of electronics near my TV, then turned off the gaming system.

"What?" I bellowed, getting up. "What could possibly be more important than the third game in that series?"

Kyle had lost any shred of confidence he previously possessed. He was practically shaking, and rightfully so. I was scary when I yelled.

"I-I just wanted to talk to you, I guess," he mumbled, rubbing his arm and avoiding my eyes. I thought he had gotten over the habit of not being able to look at me. Apparently, he hadn't.

"Then talk!" I still wasn't over losing the game.

"You're so temperamental," Kyle muttered. A second later his cheeks reddened, like he hadn't meant to say it out loud. Except, he kept going, finding a new confidence in my lack of response. "I mean, one minute you're jerking me around, threatening me, and being an overall douche," he looked me in the eyes to say that part. A smirk threatened to appear on my face. "And the next minute, you call me cute and grab my dick! And I'm not even gay! I'm dating your sister for God's sake, Axel!"

At this, I just raised my eyebrows, then set to work proving him otherwise.

"Hmm? Is that so?" I took a step towards him. We were within touching distance. He was already shivering. "So you wouldn't like it if I did this?" I leaned down, grabbed his hip, and slowly dropped my head to suck on his neck. He squirmed.

"Stop," he whined. I didn't.

"And you really wouldn't like this?" I continued, my fingers sliding underneath his shirt, massaging his torso as I pulled away from one side of his neck, and kissed the other.

"No," his voice was breathy. I was almost there.

"And this would just be disgusting, right?" I pressed my hips into his gradually. This time he whimpered.

"Yes, Axel," he had already started tipping his neck so I could suck on it more. This was too easy.

I pulled away from him long enough to grab his very inflamed crotch, once again. "I can tell how much you hate it."

He pushed me away as soon as I snickered at his blushing. "I'm dating your sister!"

"Really, Kyle? Are you? Because she's on a date with her ex-boyfriend right now, and you're here, in my bedroom, moaning my name," I pressed myself against him lightly again. "Things just aren't really adding up, Kyle."

He gave me a wary look, but it disappeared as soon as I started unbuttoning his pants. The kid was like putty in my hands. I ended up jacking him off and kissing him until we heard the door to my house open. This was nothing Maggie and Tuck hadn't seen before, but I figured it was kind of disrespectful and that I should probably ask before taking my sister's boyfriend.

I kissed Kyle. "Pull up your pants. I'll meet you downstairs."

After taking a small detour to the bathroom, I met Tuck and Maggie downstairs. They were making out in the living room.

"Kyle's upstairs," I announced as soon as I entered. The two of them broke apart, Tucker practically flinging Maggie off himself. They didn't know that I knew. "Oh don't look at me like that. It's so obvious, it hurts. Just don't let the kid see you."

They didn't say anything, but Tucker gave me this weird look. He probably could tell I was glowing from a sexual high, but he was just slightly unaware of where it had come from. When Kyle came downstairs, a small pink tinge to his cheeks that I couldn't help but stare at, Tuck knew instantly.

"You didn't," his statement was directed at me. I gave him a warning look, then turned towards my sister. It was times like these that I was glad we spoke German. I began speaking to her in our first language.

"Maggie, you can't keep hurting this boy. It's unfair. You haven't left my best friend's side since we got home, you need to face that. Let this kid go, Mags."

At first, Maggie ignored me. "What do you guys want to do?" she asked the two other men in the room. "Anyone up for a movie?"

"He's gay," I told her, speaking in German again. "You haven't been able to see the way he looks at me because you're too busy with Tuck, but he's gay."

Maggie sighed, then finally turned to face me. "No, I know. I mean, I've known. He... He couldn't get it up for me," she snorted. "I can't believe you've been home for a week and you've already gotten in his pants. It took me two months."

I laughed. So did she. "You can have him. As long as I get you-know-who," Maggie said.

"He's my best friend, you don't get full custody. You get him for the sexual stuff, I get him for everything else. Deal?"

"Deal."

"Tuck," I said, turning back to the two. "Let's go get dinner." I was trying to let Maggie and Kyle have some time to talk.

Tuck frowned. "It's four o'clock?"

I smiled. "Any time is dinner time if you just believe."
This made Tuck laugh, so we left. 10 minutes later, I got a text from Kyle.

I just found out that when you speak German, I get aroused. Thanks for leaving me here with a raging boner and your sister. When you're done with dinner, come over. Bring a condom.

Needless to say, I already had one.
