As soon as we got back, Renxsuke immediately departed to his room, I shook my head in disbelief. So now he was just going to act like nothing happened, and we were just going back to the way we were before, like we hadn't gottnen any closer. If that's how he wanted it then fine. When I was walking around in the lobby of the thirteenth floor, I thought I had heard some screaming...or some arguing of some sort...but I thought I'd try to ignore it, until I heard what sounded like an explosionn. I heard the voices of Axel, Ashtcher, and Rixile.
"I'm gonna make you feel the heat!" Axel yelled. Then I saw a blast of fire hit against the wall.
I summoned two across just in case and ran down the hall to see the commotion. When I got to the next open room, I stopped confused as what I was seeing. It appeared that Axel and Ashtcher were fighting, and Rix was standing between them. Axel was holding his Chakram weapons as he stared intently at Ashtcher, and Ashtcher holding his Fatal Crest, with scratches on his face and small slits in his clothes.
"This is insane guys, you need to stop," Rix said
"He's stepping over the line! and going past boundaries!" Axel screamed as fire surfaced his weapons.
"Look, I didn't know, and even if I did I wouldn't care!" Ashtcher said. Axel growled and Ashtcher growled back.
"Axel please?! Ashtcher, show some boundaries!" Rix told them. The she happened to look up and saw me. "Oh, Ayame?"
"Um, hey?" I said. "What's going on?"
"Well, um you see...um..."
Axel's flames then vanished and his Chakrams went limp in his hands as he shook his head. "I thought I could trust you ..." he said, seeming betrayed and then turned and walked away.
"Axel..." Rix called. But he kept walking. "Axel!" Her head hung low at the chaos she had created. she didn't know what to do. I could see it all over her face.
"Hey, Rix, It'll be alright I-" Ashtcher tried to say but she cut him off.
"Just don't talk to me right now ok..." she said walking in my direction. The =n she stopped and looked to me. "Oh...Ayame, we're traveling together tomorrow to Wonderland....oh joy..."
"You don't seem thrilled?"
"I have to go home....being there at all canmake anyone feel depressed...we have to helo my mom," she finished and then continued on to her room. Her saying that made me wonder how horrible Wonderland was...was it dark and dank? She was from that world, so I could see why they would send me with her, no one would know it better than her.
Later that night, I went out on top of the roof again, I figured it was time for me to go out there since I hadn't been there in a while. I was also hoping to run into a certian blindfolded boy. As I sat out there looking at the moon, inside my own thoughts. I thought about the conflict with Rix, Axel, and Ashtcher earlier. What exaclty happened? How did Axel even find out? Either way I knew I'd find out, I'd be with her for awhile. I was planning to ask her, either way. My question was if she was actually dating both of them? Or was her heart truly conflicted? Rixile didn't seem like a bad person, she didn't seem the type to lead anyone on, she just seemed, well to me anyway, misunderstood. As I had my closed my eyes, I then heard footsteps, I got up and walked to the edge of the roof, looking down for any sign of who I thought it could be, the blindfolded boy. But then I heard a very familiar criticizing voce, a that annoyed me as soon at it spoke.
"He won't be back..." Renxsuke spoke from behind me.
I turned to look at him, and surprising enough his face was revealed. "What? Do you just live to burst my bubbles?"
"Perhaps..." he chuckled
I rolled my eyes at him and then turned away from him. "Whatever..."
"One more person than you, knows he's been here, he won't be back. He seemed smart." I didn't respond. "What? Did you think he would come back for you?" he said coldly. "Were you falling in love with him? Foolish."
"No. He seemed interesting."
"Well, you're never going to see him again, so you can get that idea out your head."
I felt my expression turn to a scowel, I was growing tired of his cruel and incriminating words. "Do you have any real purpose...?"
"What?"
"Why do you constantly say the harshest things for no reason?" I said and turned to him. "All the things you say, you don't have to, knowing it may hurt someone but you don't care, but you say it anyway. It's like you seek to make people feel worse about themselves by pointing out their flaws, or how much better you are because you don't seem to have any."
He just looked at me.
I growled and turned back away from him. "Sometimes, I'm surprised you even have a heart. "
"Ayame..."
"But I guess I can understand...you've never really cared about anyone...other than yourself...you've never really had to care for anyone else. So i could see if you didn't really know how because of how you've grown up..."
"How is it...that even when you're insulting me...you still find a way to take it back and come across as being so understanding...and sweet..?" I heard him walk and come up behind me. "You are right....I don't know how to care...because of how I've had to live...I can't help it...I had to learn to care only for myself....I don't trust people."
"I get it...."
"But I do trust and care for you...Ayame." He took hold of my hand and turned me around to face him. "I care for you a lot. I don't know why, but i guess with you stubborness and annoyance, you broke me down."
I chuckled a bit. "I am very persistant."
He pulled me in and held me in a soft embrace. "I don't want anything to happen to you....alright? I know I come across as mean to you but if you notie I only put in so much effort towards you...so just trust me...that mystery guy is bad news..."
"Why?"
"He's a lot like me in a way...he has a struggle with darkness...he could snap at any moment and I don't want you getting hurt."
"I have the darkness too..."
"But that guy is deeper in it than you...your darkness is just starting to get stronger.."
"Really?"
"I pay attentiion...don't think I'm not...I'm always paying attention."
"And what about your darkness?"
"I was born in it...."
"Will you ever explain that to me?'
"Not today...but just know that I do care about you...." Then he moved his head and gave me a soft peck to the forehead. I blushed a little, surprised at his action.
I smiled as I kept my head against his shoulder. "Thanks Renxsuke, that's nice to know."
"No problem."
The next morning Rixile and I were ready to leave to Wonderland. I didn't have any feelings about it. Rix on the othe hand did, she really seem to dread the thought that we were going there. As soon as she got to the lobby, she already looked angry. She had her arms crossed and her eyes squinted. She didn't say a single word to anyone. Saix wished me luck and would be glad of my return.
"Aghhhhhhhhh! Demyx!" I heard Rhys yell.
"No, no, no, please?! I'm sorry!" he pleaded.
"NO! Give me it!.....all these stupid water things!"
"Rhys, let's talk about this..."
"I've talked to you over and over about this thing and your water, and your horrible playing! Hand it over!" We then heard a loud bash to the ground and the sound of strumming strings as they popped.
"NO! MY SITAR! NO!" Demyx cried. "I'm so sorry this happened to you...don't worry...I'll fix you. Rhys you will pay for this!"
'Yeah, yeah, whatever," she said walking back towards her room and slamming the door.
On the way she didn't say a word, when we got there, I was completely in awe....this place wasn't dark and dank at all...well at least where we ended up. I was colorful and bright. With the most umimaginable things no one could think of, except a creative and eccentric person. There was blue grass around dancing and singing flowers, flying shoes, talking birds, swimming cats....this place was amazing how could she hate it so much?
"Don't think this place is great yet....well it is...the only part that sucks is the what my mom controls..even though she thinks she's queen of wonderland, when Alice really is..." Rix told me
"So where is your mom?"
"She's in a castle, past the dark forest....we should run into The Mad Hatter, The March Hare, and The Cheshire Cat will be there. The White Rabbit will be with her."
"And what kind of queen is your mom? What does she want help with?"
"Oh she's the red queen, queen of hearts, queen of cards and all those titles. And her whole painitng the roses red crap. And she wants Alice captured and her own army, since no one else listens to her. She trying to make her mark."
"You really seem to hate her...like really hate her.."
"Oh I do...so let's get going so we can get there in a reasonable time and get this over with...."
"Oh, Um , sure thing, let's get going then," I said. "Hey, Rix?"
"Yeah?"
"Look if anything happens with your mom and all, don't worry, I got your back. So if you like, I can do all the talking."
"Thank you! That woman will pester me with her questions...I don't want to drown..I'd like to avoid speaking to her as much as possible."
I laughed, "It fine, your welcome, I wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable."
"Thanks, your awesome Ayame."
"Of course," I smiled. "I'll do what I can to help."
