My camera flashes and soon an image of the daisy and bee appear on my camera. I smile and stand up from my crouching position to reveal my grass stained overalls. I sigh and look around to see if I can capture anything else.
"Samantha!! " I hear someone yelling my name and turn around to the direction it was coming from.
Chloe comes running up to me, her beautiful blonde waves framing her face beautifully.
"Sammy!! You'll never guess what!" She grins happily.
Her sapphire blue eyes shining with excitement.Her happiness is so contagious and I can't help myself but smile along too.
"What is it Chloe?" I say with a giggle.
"I got it!! I got the part! SAMANTHA IM GOING TO BE AN ACTRESS!!" She says basically screaming.
"Omg! That's amazing Chloe!!!" I say excitedly and hug her tightly.
Chloe had dreamt of being an actress for as long as I've know her-since we were babies, and now her dream is finally coming true. I was so excited for her.
"Yup! You'll be seeing this face a bit more often now" she says giggling and flicking her hair over her shoulder.
I respond with a smile. "Well I already see enough of you as it is"
She laughs.
"So what are u doing?" She asks
"I'm just taking a few shots u know. Im trying to get a couple for th-" I start but then Chloe cuts me off
"Omg! Sam! You've ruined your overalls" she says so shocked.
Chloe was always the type of girl to care about looks and clothes. She'd always be talking about clothes- what she's wearing, when she was gonna wear it, where she bought it and when she was going shopping again. In fact she and I were basically complete opposites when it came to clothes. For example; today I was just wearing a simple loose fitting white shirt with my denim overalls and a pair of my old converses, while Chloe on the other hand was wearing a beautiful white halter neck dress with a cute denim jacket and some black stilettos. Her hair was flowing down her back and her makeup was minimal but natural. She was beautiful and she knew it.
"Hm? Oh it's ok it'll come out" I shrug. To be honest I didn't really care, they were old. Chloe sighs.
"You know one day, your going to have to care about how you look." She says
"Well one day, just not today" I say with a smile.
"Samantha I love you" she says with a giggle.
"I love you too Chloe" I reply.
"Come on let's go get lunch! There's this really good cafe just down the street" Chloe says. That's the thing about Chloe, she's loves food but she's got the hottest body.
"Yeah sure, I'm kinda hungry" I reply.

"You know, you would look so much better without ur glasses on. And maybe even pretty if ur hair was out of that messy bun" Chloe says as we're waiting for our food.
"What are you talking about?" I say not looking up from my camera.
"Well there's this cute boy looking at you - 3 o'clock and I dunno, I was thinking that maybe if you looked better...you know..." she says smugly
I don't even look up
"No there isn't. Plus I only wear these glasses when I'm doing work. I'm not blind you know"
"Yea I know. But you've got such pretty eyes Sammy! And those glasses hide half your face. " she whines
"But I need them-you know that"
"Have u considered contacts?"
"They're irritating"
"URGH! Samantha your impossible"
"But you love me" I say smugly looking up
"Yea I do." She giggles.
I look to my right quickly to see if she was actually telling the truth and catch a quick glimpse of a boy - except he isn't looking at me. Instead he talking to his friend. He looked about in his 20's - like me and had dark long brown hair, golden brown eyes, full pink lips and had a jawline to kill for. He was very attractive.
"Samantha!" Chloe said snapping me out of my train of thought
"Pretty cute huh?"
"Yea...I mean no...I mean yes...uh I don't know" I mutter nervously
Chloe laughs.
"So what were you doing in the community garden earlier?" Chloe asks
I sigh.
"I told you already. I was taking pictures. I'm presenting a few of my shots at the gallery the university is hosting this Friday" I explain
"No way! That's so cool. So do you have any good ones at the moment?"
"Uh I've got a couple but I'm not sure if they're okay or not"
"Oh come on Samantha! You're so good at photography! You could make a pile of shit look good"
I laugh.
"I wouldn't say I'm that good" I mumble
"Yea I know your shit"
We both laugh and chat for a bit and soon our food arrives. Chloe instantly takes out her phone and starts snapping pictures of hers and my food. It's really funny actually because she makes all these weird faces when she's concentrating.
"Hey maybe you should take some pictures of your food - it'll look good in the gallery" she says still snapping pictures of her food
I shake my head and dig into my delicious looking pizza. I take a bite of a slice of pizza and the gooey cheese and the salty-spicy flavour of the pepperoni bursts in my mouth then next thing I see is a flash going off in my face.
"Oops the flash was on" Chloe says
"I didn't realise. " I say sarcastically with a mouth full of pizza.
"Delete it" I add
"Awww but you look so cute!" She whines
"Fine keep it"
Chloe's smiles cheekily and sticks her tongue out.
"Hey you watch it" I say pointing to her
She giggles
"You've got sauce on your face" she says
I try to wipe it off with my hand
"Is it gone?"
"No. Do you want me to help yo-" she starts
"No-no-no no. I don't trust you. I'll be right back ok"
She giggles and I get out of my seat and make my way to the bathroom.

I splash some water onto my face. It feels refreshing against my skin. I look up and put my glasses back on. Maybe Chloe's right, maybe I should care more about how I look. Chloe always says how pretty I would look if I cared a little but to be honest I've never really cared about my looks- I mean it's what's inside that matters right?
But then again, it doesn't really hurt to try does it? I look in the mirror and see my reflection. I sigh and dry my hands. I open the door and start walking back to our table. On the way, I trip over (typical, clumsy me) and knock someone's shoulder.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. I-I I wasn't looking where I was go-" I stutter
"It's fine. Do you need a hand up?" a kind voice says.
It was strange, the voice wasn't deep or masculine but it was strong yet kind. It was...inviting and warm. I look up and see the owner of the beautiful voice.
It was him...
"Uhhhh" I mumble
He chuckles revealing his beautiful smile. God he was gorgeous.
"Here." He says holding his hand out
I take it. It was rough but somehow soft and warm at the same time.
"You okay?" He asks and smiles warmly
"Uh yeah thanks. Sorry about knocking you though" I mumble shyly
He chuckles again. Oh god.
"It's fine really. I'm alright" He says
I smile shyly and look to the ground awkwardly.
"What's your name?" He asks suddenly
The question catches me off guard.
"Hm? Oh it's Samantha. B-but you can call me Sam" I reply
"Cameron" he says holding his hand out
"Nice to meet you Cameron" I say and take his hand then he embraces me with a hug.
Oh god he smelt so good. His scent, his cologne smelt like...it's almost indescribable. It was fresh, crisp and sharp but also dark, and intriguing. I wish I could stay in his embrace forever but then he soon parted.
"You too Samantha. Look I've got to go." He says with a smile
"Um ok. Just call me Sam" I say softly
"Ok. See you soon Samantha" he says, winks then turns his back and walks away.
And I just stand there star struck like an idiot.
