both in the sense
that it's hilarious
and strange.
your vision blurs,
your mind runs
at one thousand
miles per hour,
yet also freezes.
your throat burns
from the cold liquid
you wash down
your pills with.
you feel like you're
dying,
yet you just can't die.
you just need someone
to hold you;
to tell you that it'll be
okay;
to bring back the
light – the happiness.
but you know that
no one will do that.
you're alone.
alone with your
jarred mind.
alone with your
tears.
alone with the
darkness.
the darkness which
creeps into your
mind;
consuming your thoughts
and devouring your
very being.
it's soul purpose is
to drag you down,
deeper and deeper
into hell.
but
the thing is though:
i'm already there.
